    That's a nice rig. Living on an island, all I see is golf carts now. I like the fact that it's dirty. Where I live I see maxed out jeeps and 4 x 4's all the time that look like they could crawl the Rocky Mountains, however they are spotless. Not a speck of dirt on the underside.

      I hear y’a, it’s getting a nice collection of scuffs and scratches on it already - and that’s how i like it. Picked up a small ryobi battery powered pressure washer and does a great job getting the rig cleaned off after a ride.

    Thanks for the video. I just picked up my HD7 DPS this weekend. I really like it and think that it will provide years of reliable use. I mostly run old logging roads as well, but they’re in much worse shape than the ones around your area 😀. I agree that it doesn’t cruise at fast speeds, but I’m coming from a RZR S.

    Definitely quieter than an x3. If I were to buy a defender though, I would go straight for the xmr 1000. Have a ranch near kamloops BC and fence mending and ranching doesn't stop when everything starts to flood.

      There’s lot to like with the XMR Truman’s I agree not much would slow that one down. I’ll be hauling mine up to the family farm next month, see what the old man thinks of it.

    I'm looking for a side by side and tested the cfmoto uforce 600 yesterday and engine rpm was over 4000 and not going very fast. I thought the engine would blow. The dealer said they rev high and not a problem but it was super loud. You say yours is not as loud as others and that peaked my interest. I was looking at new but there is a 2022 Can am defender hd7 near my area and only 800K on it for 17,250.00 Canadian .It comes with windshield and winch. Do you think that sounds like a good deal? Ad says never took in bush or abused, just driven around farm. I also enjoyed your video.

    • @AvoidingChores
      @AvoidingChores  3 місяці тому

      Sounds like a good deal, I posted another video where I recorded the decibel level of the machine against other loud engines like a snowblower. It all depends on your tolerance or ear protection for noise.

    What’s it like with low speeds and hauling / crawling? Does it overheat at all? I’m still not sure about the HD seven versus the HD nine
    Thanks a lot.

    • @AvoidingChores
      @AvoidingChores  3 місяці тому +1

      It’s honestly a little tank. Those low end uses, this does a great job. I haven’t overheated yet. I’m quite happy with the HD7 with what I do around here, but having more power….hard to say no ;)

      @@AvoidingChores ok thanks a lot. I think the XT HD9, is another 5-6k Canadian. I have a good lead on an HD7 base for 13,700 Canadian, and I’m tempted to jump but then someone was telling me about the vtwin and the pro torque vs what the hd7 has… but good to hear. Do you load up and go through mud holes at all? Thanks for the vids.

    A vinyl window will help with the dust but really a vented windshield will just about eliminate that

    I know this is an older video, But what kind of range do you get driving the way you do? I believe the capacity is 10.6 gallons. I would think the range would be pretty high.

    • @AvoidingChores
      @AvoidingChores  Рік тому +1

      Hi Mark - I haven't done a detailed measurement in a few months, but I estimate that I can get about ~325km (200mi) range with a full tank, I don't bring extra fuel when I plan for a day run (4-6 hrs, 60-100km of riding) because I know that I consistently reach halfway on the fuel indicator when I'm close to ~150km of riding. Although I haven't seen how quick it drops on the bottom half of the tank. I haven't been on a ride where I needed to stretch out the fuel.
      I have noticed that it may fluctuate a bit (on the lower side) depending where you get it or get a lower grade.
