I know this was a few years ago but recently our S 2000 has developed a humming sound in the intake area and folks are starting to point me towards this secondary air pump system. It makes sense because the humming sound does not change with RPMs and it does not start until the engine has warmed up. Any idea what part of the secondary system might be making a constant humming sound?
All the previous owner did was take the pump off. All the hose and pieces are still there. I only get a check engine light if I crank the engine a long time and it doesn't start (I only know that because the spare key he gave me isn't programmed)
Any chance you wanna sell that useless in FL hardware? I bought an s2k. The guy failed to mention that he did this delete and now I need to smog the car 2 years later in CA
Also sell or giveaway the parts for the people who live in California, we don't want their s2ks getting crushed just because they chose the wrong state lol

No, just deleted system due to the turbo kit install. Uploading video tonight to catch up 👍🏻

That's the reason you need the resistor. So it makes the ecu think the secondary air pump is still there.

I have the entire secondary air system for sale if you're interested. 50 bucks, buyer pays pp fee and shipping.
F that 2 much work I'm leaving mine on, lol. All you need is a resistor to trick the ecu to not have a check engine light if your pump is not working.
What kind of resistor are we talking about. I got one with a delete and i just need to pass emissions
