As a Christian, I am starting to think men are correct when they say “monogamy isn’t natural”. Meaning it isn’t natural to the flesh which is why you need self-control in order to tame those desires. You don’t need self-control for something that comes naturally.
The spirit wars against the flesh and the flesh against the spirit. When you have a spiritual mind, that self-control comes naturally. But when you are worldly minded, YES, monogamy isn’t natural to you.
And for those of you that aren’t Christian but are monogamous, your spiritual mind can be God-like without you knowing it. To be “good” is to inhibit the characteristics of God (even while you’re atheist or agnostic). The very image you hold, is HIS.
    This was an interesting listen.

Envy blocks creativity. Good role models can literally reshape how you view the world and expedite your progress as a man.

This is a necessary conversation. Please keep this going for the men. Please have longer conversations. I forward them all to my hubby.

Thank you for showing us this table talk with these men & how they look at marriage & relationships. As women we need to know just what the men are thinking so that we can be & do what is needed for them so that they can be & do what is needed for us. So that we can both be our best selfs. That is what a powerful couple does to & for each other.

I’m so glad we got to see the different dynamics between these men. Happily married, single, and dating. As much as I wanted to pick fault at Da'Vinchi view point on monogamy. I didn’t because that’s his own cross to bare. While I believe that self control and finding your person go hand in hand. Hearing those married men speak was refreshing. Not all men think the same. There’s men who value marriage and commitment. Some men won’t conform to monogamy and that’s okay too.

When he said monogamy isn’t natural, I cringed. I hope he finds a wise, positive mentor to show him the benefits of it through actions. Great talk overall 👍🏿

He actually explained it well. Maybe you just weren’t listening but he broke it down and even gave an example of another situation of how someone can give advice, but what works for someone else might not work for you the same.

Men today they do not know how to start a conversation with a woman anymore like they used to how was your day and if they walking down the street women is not on it inside the sidewalk they don't open doors for you anymore they don't walk you to the door chivalry is lost you have to get that back in the dating world men and women men and if you don't have a father figure seek out one that you know so you can look up to them

If you do that for today's women oh you don't have to do that I got it. Opening doors for them is too nice.

@@jimjames467 All women are not the same. Many women still like appreciate that. Let her turn the offer down. Don't change your chivalrous nature & habits just because SOME women don't understand the value in it.

Can’t do this to every woman, some are unappreciative and have a sense of entitlement. They got to earn it.

    • @hymnodyhands

There are still well-mannered, chivalrous men... it is not as common, and chivalry is not the same as CHARACTER either, so watch out for that... that said, be cordial and keep it moving from men that AREN'T, and seek circles in which men that ARE tend to be more common. Put energy there and encourage and appreciate every sign of what you want. I would suggest circles of men with a SERIOUS community service orientation... the caveat, of course, is that you also have to become of the same mind to be successful in such circles.
Another good thing about this: many men mature enough to be SERIOUS about aspects of service know that juggling a bunch of women is a waste of their time and energy and can actually be destructive to their purpose... the caveat here is that they also know ONE materialistic woman can be just as destructive, so AGAIN, as a woman, you have to come into these circles genuinely ready for these kinds of men and the life they live.

@@hymnodyhands come on now you won't want a man to do your mom that way you want him to treat her with full respect so think of that woman someone's mother daughter have the utmost respect the same as you will want a man to treat your mother treat lady with the utmost respect because she is or she will be somebody's mother look at it from that perspective men and if you are a man o f God and have a relationship with him you get my point really good signing o f f Miss Vernell

Why do we keep saying monogamy isn’t natural? Then we say if we look at history… Just because men had multiple women doesn’t mean it was right, just because u have an urge doesn’t make it ok to do something… In my opinion anyway…

That boy talking about polygamy is lost and has not fully entered manhood. He sounds lost. I’m glad those 2 other men broke it down for him. Sometimes you just have to grow up. Men that are polygamists have resources (including lots of money) and the means.
