Can’t wait to get on the bank with mine, no issues with the one I have the only thing I did was lubricated the front pole sockets with a little silicon grease, and they slide perfectly now👌
Thanks for this video. Ive been on the fence about the avid and was leaning towards the pro logic slr because im 6ft 4 and thought the avid would be too low, but looks fine. Cheers
Avid are aware of an issue with the front poles being made too long and the Material is being stretched way to taught, Tom from Avid has givennthis Info and Avid have swapped a few defected Bivvys with this.
So having put it up in garden I found it quite hard to get front poles in and also a couple of the poles were hard to break down. Thought it was because it was new. Had it out on this session and it went up ok but front arms still tight. Had it back up today in garden and noticed the materiel that holds the from arms in place has ripped and it was also very difficult to break down again. Not fit for purpose this one. It’s a shame as the Bivvy is a great design. The front peaks are superb. Not sure I want to risk another one tbh
Sorry to hear that you’ve had some issues with your new bivvy. We were notified of an issue prior to Christmas with the first batch of EXO+ bivvies, immediately we sent out a notice to all of our retailers for a recall of the stock for them to be QC checked and any issues ironed out. If you haven't already, please could you return the bivvy to the retailer you purchased it from and they will be able to help you further with returning the item to us.
Hi was wondering if you think i could squeeze two standard bedchair in this bivvy. Asking as i mainly fish alone but there are the odd nights I'm with the wife . A two man bivvy will be far to large for me most of the year. This one looks very promising. Thanks
Did this go up easy? I've got one and got issues putting it up. Avid are recalling stock from suppliers due to material being too tight on frame which was stopping mine going up. Interested on how you found it first time putting it up Cheers!
Yeah, I had an issue breaking it down when I tried it in garden and noticed you had to make sure material was loose at top. It went up ok on the bank although one pole was tighter than the others, but it’s something I’ll check again when next out. Just assumed it may of needed a couple of goes. Didn’t realise this was a recall issue.
@@carpinglife ah right yeah I got in touch with avid and they've said they're aware of a material tension issue with some of the first batch and they're asking retailers to send stock back so they can quality check it in house before re distributing the new batch some time at the end of Jan / early Feb 😕 not sure if to wait for new batch and hope it's sorted or just get a fox frontier X
Hi Rob, mine was the same. Just wouldn't go up properly. And the seams splitting due to immense tension on that fabric. It's simply incorrectly produced. It's being collected on Tuesday by the tackle shop
Hello all, the most up to date information directly from Avid is that the bivvies are expected to be back in stock end of July. Lets see if the tight material issue will be fixed.
