Thanks for sharing this. My Fatboy has the same problem recently. I downloaded the service manual and it said to remove the tank before you did anything. You made my day showing that it can be done with out doing that. Thanks again.
Later model Fatboys have more wiring attatched to the unit than this bike...all the plugs for the speedo etc are included in the wiring harness..the tank needs to be removed to get at the plug that connects it all to the bike's main harness..total pain in the butt!! I'm just about to do this on my 2014 Fatboy!! Great video by the way!!
Thanks for the video, just what I needed. Didn't know if there was something more holding it in place so I was afraid of breaking those plastic tabs. :)
Just had to do exactly this on my 2007 Fatboy as the neutral light stopped working. Here in the UK it cost me approximately $180 US. The old circuit board was kinda corroded so, to prevent damp damaging the new one, I Gorrila taped half dozen Silica packs around the inside of the Speedo housing in the vain hope it will stop the new circuit board corroding.
I just bought a couple months ago this kind of bike and I was inquiring on the speed, does it tell you the different gears you're in or only the sixth because mine only shows only when it's in six gear.
Just removed the console on my 2012 Softail Deluxe and checked the wiring loom. The connections are different from that of the 2011 model in your video Rogelio. One of the wiring harness connectors in under the left side of the fuel tank - so the fuel tank does need to be at least partially removed to access and disconnect the harness.
I agree. I washed my bike by hand and rinsed with a power washer. I believe the pressured water was getting inside. I started to rinse off with a garden hose to see how long the indicator lamp will last me this time. It's been over a year and still working properly.
LoL. I'm glad you're getting it fix though. I Mine has been working fine since I found out what I was doing to make it go bad. I was using a power washer and getting water in the lights when I crossed over. the instrument panel. I stay away from it when I wash it and haven't has problems with it since. Glad the video helped and Ride Safe.
rogelio saavedra Copy mine went out right after washing it. Smh 🤦♂️ and just like yours it’s the left signal & high beam indicator. I wonder if There’s a way to waterproof that area where the tiny LED’S meet the bottom of the housing.
@@scrumthebum2451 well the dealership said they are sealed but I call bulls**t. you could probably put some thick super glue or epoxy to seal it up. If it happens to me again I'll try to seal it up that way.
I have the same problem my left turn signal dont show up when i press the signal switch,SO REALLY? i cant just change a bulb i gotta buy this whole new thingy for $50.What BS really HD REALLY?? I'll just look at my signal to make sure its on, what a gimmick harley does to its loyal customers, so if a customer brings their bike to service for this simple problem its gonna cost them $125 or more maybe? thanks for the video but im really pissed off,let go put my console back on. what a crock of BS harley
Yeah, it sucks I cant just change the l.e.d. light bulb in it because it's a seal component. I've had this one on for awhile without any problems because I figured water got in it when I washed it. I tend to be careful around the console when washing it and it seems to have helped. Ride Safe.

@@carrolmirna2402 Holy Cow, $130. I thought you might have got schemed for that price so I looked up the part number you wrote dow. You bought the entire harness that goes underneath the console. However, you will receive the L.E.D. Indicator Lights but you will also receive more harness than you need. I wrote the correct part number for my make and model. I looked it up and it's even cheaper here in Colorado Springs, $36. What year and model motorcycle do you have? You should send me a picture of the harness kit you bought, I'm curious. Ride Safe.

Small world buddy. Just found this
Do you know what type bulb the indicator assembly has?
No idea because they don’t sell the bulb itself because it’s an LED. Once any of them go out you have to buy the whole assembly. Ride Safe! 🤙
Thanks just got same issue on my Fatboy Lo

hi looking for same part for my bike softail 2011 deluxe . how can i buy ?
You have to go to a Harley-Davidson Dealership. That’s where I bought mine. Ride Safe. 🤙

Thanks Rogelio. Do you know if the same procedure works on a 2012 Softail Deluxe - without having to remove the fuel tank?
