Love the desk at the window
I somehow like it, too. It's always better to not have a wall right in front of you when working at a desk. It's nicer to have a bit of a view bc it's supposed to free your mind in a way when working.
But actually, despite loving the view, I for myself would not like the setup 100% bc the fact that sitting at the desk your back is facing to the front door would make me uneasy. Not only would I feel kind of vulnerable sitting with my back facing the door but I also wouldn't like my colleagues (or customers or whomever) to see my personal living space (living room, kitchen,...) in videocalls and zoom meetings. Maybe a room divider could help with that...

Just a idea! Put the desk where your pink chair and table is. Towards the side window so that way you can see the view better. And then put the pink chair where the desk was and you can sit in the chair at the table and have view instead of your back to the view. Win win both areas will have views. Enjoy watching you!

The stool height is appropriate. 24”’stools are made for “counter height”bars. Taller ones would go with bars higher than a counter.
I would to visit the Monuments but I have to get better and get rid of this sore throat, and body ache and take care of myself. My parents might go to DC and visit the Monuments and I hope they take a lot of photos and see the Cherry blossom. 🤒😷 I would love to go on a date went a guy but he would mostly do all the talking and I would listen to him and I don't mind that on a date.

If the side of the island where your feet go is just a painted wall, you might out a piece of plexiglass there to keep it from getting scuffed with footprints. Lowe’s and such would cut it for you to size and also place screw holes. Just a thought.

Really time to get rid of the boxes now that you've lived there a month. Also you really didn't seem ready to go on a date...you kinda gave off a lot of negative energy before the date even started and it seemed like it was a chore to go instead of fun and exciting....so chances of it going well when you're feeling like that is low. Maybe try going to a speed dating event...that way you can quickly know which guys interest you to actually go on a date with.
