It was fascinating seeing Snape's perspective on his relationship with Lilly and how conflicted he is on who side he's on. Fantastic fan film! Every one who collaborated on it should be proud! Also I recommend watching a fan film called The Greater Good, it's a prequel of the prequels so to speak *Home Alone face*. Thank you for becoming Potter fans you guys!❤💛💙💚
So in the book its explained that the three guys figure out lupin is a werewolf early on. At first he kept telling them he had to visit home because his mother was sick or that he got sick etc. but of course they are rather clever and the secret doesn't stay a secret for long. Instead of abandoning him for being a werewolf they decide to find a way to further ease the difficulties of being a werewolf. So to be there for him during his transformation they decide to become animagi. It takes them several years to manage it but in the end they can stay with him in their animal form - because in their animal form they can be bitten and not turn into werewolfs themselves. At first they stay with him in the haunted shack, where lupin is brought to every month by the nurse or teachers. But after a while and because potter and sirus are such big animals, they dare to leave the shack and explore the hogwarts grounds and castle. during these nightly adventures (with a transformed werewolf mind you...) they discover so many of the hogwarts secrets that they want to record them for the next generation of "wrong-doers" and so they create the map together.
Snapes talent as a wizard is undermined sometimes because the Giants in the series like Voldemort and Dumbledore overshadowed him But he had proven to be a genius potion master in his younger years improving methodologies in his potionbooks with the alias Half blood prince as well as making his own spells and being a master at Occlumency( defense against mind penetration) His abilities at Occlumency is the reason why Voldemort could never read his mind and find out he was a spy It was safe to assume he is only Second to Dumbledore when it comes to ranking order of the Phoenix members
Idk. I’d say he’s equal with Minerva McGonagall, who was also a very skilled, knowledgeable, and powerful witch. Dumbledore recruited her to Hogwarts personally because he knew of her immense skill. She was also a dueling champion in her youth.
@@witdajuice6763 The reason i put snape above minerva is because Snape is well versed in the dark arts, he lived it, practiced it and knows how to defend against it Against a dark wizard snape would definitely fair better than minerva
Being a double agent can give him advantage is that he can identify how to fight the like two side.. Snape's under voldemort and dumbledore could teach him a lot..
@@saquib9148 I’ve read all the books dozens of times; it’s never even implied. It IS implied that they’re on similar levels, which is still far above the norm. I’ve been addicted to HP since I was 6 years old, in 97, when the first book released.
Can you maybe explain a little bit to me? I haven't read the book since I was a small child, and they never really went into it in the movies from what I remember.
The Marauders deserve their own official movie. There's so much Marauder-centric fanfiction out there that is really fantastic, so nobody can say there's no interest in it.
@@generalgrievousproductions I think they’re alluding to the fact that they all had (kind of) tragic endings. At least to their friendship. From being such a tight-knit group to having a traitor literally tear that apart is really sad when you think about how well they knew each other and for how long. I rlly wish they would’ve revisited that in the movies or even a movie for the Marauders would be 🔥🔥.
It's amazing watching 3 grown men turn into Potterheads before our eyes. Loved all the reaction videos guys, and how deep you've emerged yourselves into the Wizarding World
Love this fan film. The actors did such a great job. Two other awesome ones are "Sisters of House Black" and "Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch." Thanks for reacting to this! 💕
@@katwebbxo oohhh I’m going to check out those two videos now! I had run into a fan movie about the sisters maybe a year ago and I was trying to remember what it was! It sounds like maybe this is the same one. I really liked it! Thanks for this. 😁
One thing you need to know - and the reason Lily is upset with Snape and cannot forgive him, is during one of the duels between James and his gang against Snape, Snape called Lily a Mudblood. Lily and James were really upset about that and Snape was embarrassed and feeling the worst.
I love the extra detail of using different colors for the spells and showing Snape catch some of their spells and throw it in a different direction at one of the others.
Fun fact about James and Sirius : they were once stopped by muggle police for speeding on Sirius' flying motorbike and when they stopped someone attacked them (probably deatheaters) so they avoided punishment and run away :D
Wow, you're spoiling us with these reactions, it really feels like rewatching everything as a big family! These are hidden gems, they managed to do an amazing job! EDIT - it's just so fun to see The Oak becoming a fan of the books too, they're just on another level of awesomeness!
The Oak will be able to share his love for HP with his child some day and that’s so heartwarming to me. My dad is who got me into HP and I have great memories of watching the movies and discussing the books together❤️
My dad got me into Harry Potter too ❤️ I loved talking with him about the books and we went and saw all the movies in the theatre together. Just a cool experience. We had never bonded over a book series before, I loved it! I also love the thought of Oak getting into these books with any possible future children. I hope he has kids one day because he would be a fantastic dad. He seems like such a great guy!
This fan film is f'n phenomenal. Not only is it a legit good Harry Potter movie, it gives me alot of hope for the future of fan filming. There may come a day when fan films are in the theaterds.
The Marauders bullied Snape because he was so into dark magic and as you've seen had no problems using the unforgivable curses. He even invented Sectumsempra when he's still 16. The Marauders were assholes for sure (esp James and Sirius both growing up so privileged). I'm not defending them and they definitely should have just left Snape alone but Snape would've joined the Death Eaters whether he was bullied or not. And it vexed James that someone like that was friends with his crush so he started picking on him. Anyways, from what I know, the Marauders stopped bullying him before him and Lily even started dating (to impress Lily) and just became an overall nice guy moving forward and that's how Lily fell for him cuz he genuinely changed. Lily and Snape fell off eventually before all this because of Snape's fixation with the Dark Arts. He did sorta redeemed himself when he turned himself against Voldemort so yeah he's still one of my favorite characters in the book but I personally still don't like him as a person if that makes sense. This fanmade video, however, is just soooo sooo good. I reallly wish they make more of marauder's mischief and that part Oak mentioned about them training to become Animagus to accompany Remus when it's that time of the month.
This is one of my favorite Harry Potter fan films and inspired me to make my own Harry Potter Fan Fiction stories😊😊….love that’s y’all are on the Potter train!!!
I saw this video's thumbnail on my "recommended" and I can't tell you how excited I got. Your guys' reactions, round table discussions, and quiz taking videos of the Harry Potter series truly make my day! I'm beyond happy you guys discovered and continue to want to discover more about this series alongside us fellow Potterheads. The deep stories, hidden details, real-life issues and lessons, etc that they tackle is above any other. If anything, this series is not a bad thing to love and be "obsessed" about. I'm sure the more you learn about Harry's world, the more you'll become hooked and see just why these books/movies became a pop cultural phenomenon and literally defined a generation. Keep up the great content, you got my support hands down! All the way from California, your new fan - Brittany :)
Sirius was "that" friend...always there to help get you out of trouble that you never would have gotten into, without his irresistible urging. But we wouldn't trade them for anything. Had only seen teasers previously. Pretty well done. As good as many WB shows😉 Snape was always formidable and ridiculous in his talent and commitment to the craft.
I think a HUGE part about the marauders knowing Lupin is a werewolf was lost on Oak. Not only did they know, they spent a major amount of time becoming Animagus (being able to transform into an animal at will) specifically to help Lupin. That's no small undertaking and it's stressed how dangerous it is to do so multiple time. So you have Mooney (Lupin), Padfoot (Sirius), Prongs (James) and Wormtail (Peter) who are the Maruaders. The point is wormtail became small enough to slip by the whomping willow to hit it's "off swtich" so that the two bigger animals (a huge dog and a big Stag) could fight the werewolf down the secret passage to keep him away from the castle and hold their own against a savage animal. This is just one more example of how much more in depth the books are than the movies.
Marauders era is my favorite part of Harry Potter franchise! Their stories are so tragic and not explored enough in the movies!! Marauders fandom is also amazing, so many headcanons and different ships and fanarts!
@@Asingla116 James never made Severus call Lily a mudblood. Read properly before assuming things. I agree James was not THE best person in his teens but that does NOT mean everything bad happened will be pinned on him
@@Asingla116 People always tend to forget what clearly mentioned in the books about James and Severus' relationship was. It was a rivalry, defination of which is: "the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship." If you've only watched movie, then you might not know this. If only James and Sirius were troubling Sev it would NOT be called rivalry in the first place. And in the books it is also said that Snape never left a chance to hex James in the corridor (this was said by either Sirius or Remus in 5th book, I don't know which one of them) But that is what is clearly stated in the books
Please remember this is based on Snape's point of view. Although I really enjoy this fan film, and have watched it many times, there are several mistakes made. This is not canon, it never happened. James' character is misrepresented here, this is supposed to happen after they've left Hogwarts, and we know that James had stopped acting this way towards Snape while they were still at Hogwarts. James absolutely hated Dark Magic, and would have never used it. Fiendfyre is a dark spell, and we know for sure that James, Sirius and Remus despised it. Also James is not the one who set the trap for Severus at school. It was Sirius who did, and James found out right before it happened and managed to save him. Snape and Lily stopped talking long ago, this "redemption scene" did not take place. Snape was already thinking about joining Voldemort, he was friends with some Slytherins who were also going to join him. I could go on for a while, but this is just to say, please don't judge James based on this, as most of it is just the fans' imagination, probably biased as it shows Severus in a much better light that what we actually know of him.
even if you don't judge james on base of this maudrers except for lupin had really bad personality in school they were the forever trouble kids like jocks shown in high school movies into sports and bullying and snape couldn't deny being born in dark/ slytherin side but what was james excuse ? guy single handedly bullied snape all their school years took away the only friend he had it was made abundantly clear in flashbacks that snape calling lily mudblood can all be traced back to james and his bullying of snape so yeah it's very hard for people not to judge james
James never stopped being a bully to Snape. They simply all left school so he couldn’t bully him cause he didn’t see him. James was a bully for the majority of his life.
Honestly, these are the best reactions to these movies I’ve ever seen. I was born in 1999 so I didn’t grow at the same rate as the actors but I grew up on these movies and I’ve read the book collection at least 50 times over. In the beginning it was my dad that has dyslexia, and was only home for like 3-4 hours before going to sleep, because he worked a 12 hour job, who used to read these books with me and got me into them, to where by the time I was in 4th grade, I was reading Order of the Phoenix by myself. These books and movies made me who I am, and are what define how I treat myself and others
Even if not for a react video, I’d also recommend the Very Potter Musical. It’s hilarious and also shows the extent of the HP fandom that a group of college students could recreate the stories and give a entertaining new spin to it.
You should definitely chek out the fan film called "Neville Longbottom and The Black Witch". It is in my opinion one of the best harry potter fan films ever and it's definitely my favorite one. It dives into Neville's backstory and his parents fate, which isn't really touched in the movies, so I think you will really like it.
If you ever want to check out another fan creation from a totally different universe then I’d highly recommend checking out the Astartes project. It’s 4 parts based in the Warhammer 40k universe and it’s an absolutely incredible animation all made by a single person who went on to be hired by the company who makes Warhammer 40k after Astartes blew up on youtube. If I’m not mistaken the original videos were delisted or taken down after they were hired by the company, but reuploads exist on youtube or you can watch it all on the Warhammer community site. I only knew a tiny bit about Warhammer 40k before I watched it, but it got me to dig in and start to learn more about the 40k universe. It was 4 parts that were eventually put together into a single video, but if you’re curious you can always watch the first couple minutes or so to get a feel for it. I don’t want to say too much but it’s based some 40,000 years in the future, hence 40k, and it’s quite a grim and bleak universe with different alien races, mystical elements like demons, and genetically modified, superhuman holy warriors called Space Marines who are defending humanity across the universe and beyond. Well, kind of😉
I had to watch this immediately, even if it means procrastinating work for another 30 minutes. Probably the best fan film in existence ( At least, for Harry Potter), everything from the music to the casting is on a cinematic level and perfect. Especially the music, it blows me away every time. I wish these guys had developed a full out series. I think that there’s so much creative space with the Maurauders era because JK really didn’t expand too much on those years beyond a few important memories. I would definitely watch a Maurauders TV series and I hope that someone will be brave enough to attack that challenge in the future. I even wouldn’t mind animated. I think there is a sequel but it’s animated with voice over if you don’t mind that sort of thing.
I don’t know if you’re at all familiar with Warhammer 40k, but the Astartes fan made series is incredible even if you aren’t into, or don’t know anything about the 40k universe. It’s all animation and all done by a single person who, if I’m not mistaken, went on to be hired by the company that makes 40k after Astartes blew up and they saw the persons passion and talent. I’m new to 40k myself and seeing this persons work is what drew me in to learn more about the universe.
Nice reaction, guys! There's another fanfilm called Sisters Of The House Black. It's about Bellatrix, Narciss and Andromeda's backstories. You should check it out if you haven't yet. :)
Someone else may have commented about this already but something I didn't see get talked about enough is how much attention to detail there was for Peter Pettigrew and not just from his mannerisms. I'm sure Oak will mention this more in the book comparisons but during the pub scene, Peter wanted to confront Snape the least and only went with it when the rest of the James gang was up for it. Then you had the part where the group was chanting Snivellus Snape and you see how much Peter was enjoying being in a position of power over someone else (definite red flags for his future betrayal). Best of all was that scene with Peter bartering with Snape. It really showed Peter's true nature that he is so cowardly and wants to be subservient to a powerful figure to compensate. Again, I'm so glad this fan film nailed Peter Pettigrew to a T!
There are many good fanmade hp movies: The house of Gaunt, Le maitre de la mort, Voldemort:origins of the heir, The Greater Good, Sisters of house Black, Son of the moon, to name a few. They are all worth checking
I had never seen this before but watched it through just before watching your reaction. In the description on the original video, there’s a link to the actor’s first reaction that was also quite entertaining. Thanks for sharing. This was awesome.
@@lydiak9921 agreed fully. I was shocked to see it used. I like how we see Lupin's reluctance to go along with James throughout the production. He still went along though. That's tough
Glad this film still gets attention after all this time. Thanks for watching! If you want to see Snape and the Marauders' story continue, check out The Great Wizarding War audio drama :D ua-cam.com/video/8_u3tka6q14/v-deo.html
Now you have to react to The Great Wizarding War. It's the audio series that Broad Strokes did as sequels to this fan-made. It's an incredible journey through the first Wizarding War and the original Order of the Phoenix. It's with the same actors.
I'm really enjoying y'alls reactions, this is fun, keep going, you rock! Maybe other people mentioned it before, but another really cool one is 'the sisters of house black'. It's phenomenal and i'd love to see a reaction to that one.
This is up there with The Hunt For Gollum, Astartes, Power/Rangers, that April Fools Legend of Zelda video, Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, and the other great fan films of early UA-cam
Something that Oak did not mention. **SPOILER ALERT** . . . Remus used to go to to the Shrieking Shack through the secret passage of the Womping Willow to transform into a Werewolf. He was the one responsible for making all the noises in that house and build its reputation as a haunted house. There is this one night when the Marauders trick Severus and send him to the house while Remus is there transforming ( and they knew it ) Remus then transforms and attacks Severus. When things get out of control, James ends up saving Snape's life which is something that Snape feel ashamed for.
I think the biggest shame is how the films didn’t do the dynamic between Snape and James well at all. And this fan film while very well made, doesn’t really tell the story very accurately either but I don’t blame it it’s a fan film. Snape was friends with Lily since childhood and in love with her, she cared about him as a friend. But when they went to school, Lily made her own friends and Snape ended up hanging out with basically all the Nazi kids and obviously that caused them to drift apart. The big event where James goes at him in the flashback from Order of the Phoenix, is because Snape called Lily a mudblood (this is mentioned in the fan film!) which is basically a slur and ended their friendship. James was arrogant and stuff growing up, but 5th year is when things changed and he was not as much of a douche as this fan film presents him as especially not post-graduation. He grew up a lot in his last few years of school and Remus says in the books that James’s growth was what made Lily fall in love with him, he becomes a brave, loving and kind person. And Snape was a full on Voldemort supporter for a while, it wasn’t until Lily died that he changed sides, mostly thanks to Dumbledore. I find Snape sympathetic, but I hate how people seem to think that means overlooking the actual evil he has done and associated with and supported in his youth. Being a jerky jock is one thing, but being a hate mongering racist is another. And for all those reasons, it makes Snape’s relationship with Dumbledore so important and full of depth, because of how much he changed thanks to his guidance. I think writing James off as a jerk and that’s it, does a disservice to the depth of all the characters involved here.
I think the music score of this little masterpiece is fantastic. Not to mention special effects, acting, writing, directing... A gem. I suggest you to react to the these actors' reaction watching for the first time the final cut of Severus Snape and the Marauders. It's priceless. (From the same director there is another Potter fan film, about Dumbledore, Ariana and Grindelwald, "The Greater Good".)
I'm so glad I could be a part of the Badd Medicine family who were really recommending you guys see the fan films. I really hope you guys do another one, this was so much fun!
*WOW!* Although one nit I have against the story is that everyone was against Potter's desire to bully Snape, yet when they all accepted that Potter had lost, instead of being defensive to try to put an end to it, they all attacked Snape. But I guess the whole point is to show off all the effects so there has to be a wizard battle. I consider this canon.
This fanfilms so good!! My only complaint is the way James Potter was portrayed as an absolute jerk. He wasn’t like that! From what we’ve seen in the books he was arrogant and did tease snape but snape also got him back for things. James however grew up and that’s when him and Lily started dating. But even when he was outwardly arrogant, his heart was always in the right place. He became an animagus with Sirius and Peter for Remus! Oak may know of this but he saved snape from remus’s werewolf form after a prank sirius tried to pull. James also never hurt Snape the only memory we saw was the one humiliation of him right before snape called Lily a mudblood Snape however joined a blood supremacist group and called Lily a mudblood. He even was the informant that told voldemort of the prophecy not knowing it was talking about Harry. Only when he learned that Lily was involved did he go to Dumbledore. Not necessarily because he thought he was in the wrong but only because Lily was going to be killed. There’s even a scene in the book much like the one in the movie during Snape’s memories when he says “hide them hide them all” in the book he only asks dumbledore to hide Lily and dumbledore criticizes him saying how could he not care what happens to her husband and child. He even went to voldemort and asked him to specifically spare Lily. You guys should check out the sisters of house black and Neville longbottom and the black witch as some good black sisters and Neville backstory!!! Love the reactions and how into it you all are now!
I swear this version of Snape reminds me of Kylo Ren WAAAAY too much. The look, the mannerisms, the facial expressions. It's spot on. Makes me wish that the next Harry Potter universe movie would be about Adam Driver playing a Young Snape during the time of his school and his days as a Death Eater, then working for Dumbledore as a spy. That would be so awesome.
I found your channel when I was spending time between being sick at home and in the hospital. My daughter and I truly enjoyed watching you all watching HP. We are both HUGE Potter nerds & had fun watching your reactions. Next you all need to take a trip to Universal.
He didn’t change he just didn’t have access to Snape since they all graduated. He lied to Lily in their 7th year that he was no longer bullying Snape to get her to go out with him, but still bullied him behind her back. The beginnings of their relationship were built on a lie.
So glad we are continuing on this journey.. Count me in for whatever potter content you got next. The Hogwarts Legacy gameplay Reveal is pretty awesome too.
Wow that was my first thought when I saw that. I love it every time when I see it. I would go to the cinema at once with this actors. The Story is fantastic. Keep in mind that these are Snapes memories.
Sisters of House Black about Bellatrix, Narcissa and Andromeda is even better. IMO This one definitely puts James in the worst light possible but it IS from Snape's perspective. Most of these fan films are excellently done and great qualty.
Yeah, I did think this movie went hard on James being a douche when at this point I thought James was leaning more towards his better side than when he was younger.
@@MademoiselleRed1390 I agree especially since I can't see James doing something like that after the effort he made to save Snape's life when he found out Sirius had sent him to the Whomping Willow tunnel where he would run into Lupin in werewolf form. Sirius was obviously still a douche but we all know he had major problems even then because of his family being how they were. I could see Sirius doing something like that but not James nor Lupin.
There are sequels, of sorts, to this. The direct sequel (in fact the whole rest of this series) was done in a radio drama format with several parts the last one just came out recently. I believe all the main actors reprise their roles alongside several new characters. On Broad Strokes there is also “For Greater Good” which is more in the Fantastic Beasts time (but released prior to those coming out so it is their interpretation) and goes into a little bit of Dumbledore’s relationship with his brother and why they don’t get along well by HP’s time.
there is a fanmade movie about Tom Riddle and how he chased the immortality by creating horcruxes : Origins of the heir// The house of gaunt There is also another one about dumbledore & Gridnervald secrets and their chase behind the deathly hollows The othe sort film about black house sisters
You should watch A Very Potter Musical, and if you like it you can watch the other ones. They're hilarious, made by a group of college kids. The guy that play's Harry actually went on to play a character in Glee and some of the other people have also done acting gigs since. It's a staple in the history of the Potter fandom. Lol
The movie is amazing even if it's very biased. Potter was a bully but not sure he was such an ass and not sure that Snape could deal with the four of them 😅 you could also see : - The house of Gaunt (a recent one which is very great even if it take some liberties with the story) - Sisters of House Black (amazing!) - The greater good (a bit old but great) - Voldemort origins of the heir (again not a "real" story but they used some true details from Voldemort's past and they have great visual effects) A lower "quality" but a great subject : - Son of the moon - The tale of the three brothers Sorry for my english, I hope you'll like these movies ! Édit : there is also one about Neville but I didn't see it! It seems great too.
OMG, yesterday I was re-watching your Harry Potter reaction videos, and I was thinking "How awesome would be if they watch these videos (fan films)" and today the first I thing when I logged into UA-cam is this! amazing!!! Please consider to watch Neville's parents film!! on how they were captured by bellatrix! Have an awesome day guys!!
Amazing you've reacted to this ! If I remember correctly people were actually confusing it for something official and the creators got in a little bit of trouble with Warner Bros and they've had to promise that they're not going to profit in any way from this. Now you HAVE to do Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch ! Another one just as high quality as this one !! Diving into Neville's backstory with his parents and stuff ! Little spoiler: it's fuckin awesome ! 👀🙏🏼
So happy you guys did these reactions, I can go back and watch anytime I like and that's really special! So excited the Oak is reading the books!!!!! Full on potterhead now 😆
There's a great quality of HP fanfilms out there I think! You should watch the other BroadStrokes one, with Dumbledore and Grindelwald, maybe after the Fantastic Beast movies, so you kinda know what's happening. There's also my favourite one called 'Mischief Managed', which they shooted in Oxford University, so it's very eeire! There's also 2-3 Voldemort ones as well. "Voldemort origins of the Heir" is quality and also has 18 millions views so far! I really love your HP videos! :)
It was very well done, but in the books James Potter in Serious Black were supposed to be the best in their class and nowhere does it say that Severus Snape is that powerful that he can take on all four of them.
there are other fan films, one whit dumbledore that i know apparently also from broadstrokes pro and ther is one from kelsey ellison on youtube called sisters of house black (unofficial fan film)
😪😭 definitely pulled on the ol heartstrings as well as getting an awesome wizard battle. This was SOooo good✌😊👍!!! The moive did touch on it said Dumbledore planted the whopping willow to protect and hid the entrance to the shrieking shack a place for Lupin to change and you just had to use common sense to figure out that those 4 was bestfriends so of course they would learn to change into animals that could hold their own against a werewolf or slip away whichever.
Whilst I think they did a great job in the portrayal of all the characters and the movie making, I did not like that they made it look like James was the only bully here. In the books the relationship between James and Snape was described to be similar to the one Harry and Draco have, very much tit for tat and sometimes taking things way to far. Snape was also already running around with his future death eater friends and following along with everything they did, spouting hate and probably being cruel to every muggleborn other than Lily whilst James was described to be up his own ass a bit, but generally having his heart in the right place.
I would agree that their relationship is like Harry and Draco's, where Snape was Harry and James was Draco - because Harry almost never started anything with Draco. His interactions were often reactions to shit Draco pulled. Draco was the one who bullied and poked at Harry and crew. Very like James.
This. Remus and Lily are crucial in understanding the Snape/James dichotomy, I think. Remus as proof that the Marauders always had their hearts in the right place. And Lily, who also wasn't a fan of James initially, to show the tables turning between the two. Also, it's interesting that you mention the comparison with Draco and Harry's dynamic because the key difference between James (Sirius as well) and Draco IS that James never bought into that pureblood BS and the like, while Snape does fall into the racist mindset even as a half-blood. So Draco is a mix between the worst of James and the worst of Snape, while Harry, who shares with Snape the fact that he was Draco's target like Snape the Marauder's, got the best of James tho.
There are a couple of 'typos' you can say in this haha For example, Fiendfire is said to be an incredibly powerful sentient fire (which destroyed the Room of Requirement, because it was cast by someone like Crabbe, who couldn't control it), and you're telling me someone like Pettigrew was able to control it? (same thing with nonverbal spell, he's NOT that powerful to use them, especially in a duel) Then, well, Remus is dead by now, I'm sorry. Snape casted Sectumsempa on him, and as it's his own spell, he's the only one who knows the counter. Remember Malfoy, he was bleeding so heavily that Snape was terrified there wasn't enough time, and here I feel like much more time passed + Sirius Apparated them afterwards. ANd lastly I doubt the Dark Lord looked like that at the start of the First War, I feel like it was done more for the audience to recognize him immediately, and not a lot would do that if he looked like Tom (I would though haha), but I still think they should've just make him a bit serpentine-looking + red eyes and that would be enough. But still, this is an amazing work! One of the greatest fanfilms out there, and yes, you should definitely check out The Great Wizarding War by them (and also, as I see people didn't talk about that one, Voldemort: Origins of the Heir, which is the wonderful work about Tom Riddle ascending to power)! But please, guys, can you at least pause when you're commenting? You'll miss parts of the film like that! P.S.: About you calling Potter a jerk - there's a reaction by the Broad Strokes actors themselves, and the actor who played James, said the same thing himself hahaha People seem to disregard the Maradeurs being bullies, and yes, Severus isn't a saint, but he didn't deserve that. No wonder he turned to the Dark, when he thought he lost Lily.
as someone who was bullied in school, not nearly this badly mind you, but it can effect you LONG after your gone, it's been almost 20 years since highschool, i still carry a LOT of anger with me, i've learned to control it and channel it through working out, martial arts, etc, but i still have a lot of pent up anger and agitation and i still take certain things the wrong way sometimes when someone says something i percieve as sideways, so i've always really latched onto snape as a character, and harry, because both had rough childhoods, harry with the abusive relatives, snape with the bullying, again mind you it was never THAT bad with me, but bullying is bullying and it can create long lasting and painful effects in a person, love your guys reactions really enjoying your videos fellas keep it up!
They *DID* make a sequel for this. It's called "The Great Wizarding War"! It's a twelve-episode/Audio-drama miniseries and it is set right after the events of this film. And (Spoilers) it's even got a happy ending. Go check it out 😁👍✨
It should be noted that its EXTREMELY fan made. It is ONE person's version of Snape and the Marauders. As someone who enjoys fan made stuff I can tell you I've seen/read about a million other versions. So please don't take this as the real thing because it is fan fiction and there is a ton of that.
I have never seen a video of an at least decently popular youtuber with 5 views*, Like WOW! I've never been so early (I think) Exited to watch the reaction *I had an awful loading time
You guys are awesome, your reactions and reviews are always so interesting! Hopefully I'll be able to join the patreon soon lol. Since you guys liked this fan made film y'all should check out the fan made film for Haymitch's hunger games in the 50th quarter quell. I'd say the production and acting was on tier with this one, only less magic. It'd also give you guys some good insight on just how prolific Haymitch is.
Love the reactions. Love this channel! I hope you do Twilight movies next. They're not as good as HP, lotr, or Hunger Games but they were so loved by so many and I would really love to see your reactions to them. Keep it up!

Honestly Mauraders are dicks in this and to Severus in general, but Snape did go too far with the Crucio and the Sectumsempra

@@ElectroT0y omg yes!! It’s so good!!
Omg you guys are in DEEP. It's what happens when you fit eight generation-defining movies into two months.
Love how Oak went from being skeptical of Harry Potter to explain Harry Potter book details to others 🤣🤣♥️
Oaks been on a rollercoaster of fantasy- from LoTR to HP, to Hunger Games. This man has broadened his name whole world of Cinema and I’m here for it.
I was just about to comment the same thing, a delight to see for sure. Lol
I loved it hahaha ♡
the mans got muscles, brains and taste
Lol best character development 💜
As a Potter fan, I am absolutely 100 percent ashamed of myself that I didn't know this existed. This is a masterful piece of fan made art.
Same!!
Right there with you.
No, it's trashy nonsense
actors are not realistic
Ditto!
Snapes talent as a wizard is undermined sometimes because the Giants in the series like Voldemort and Dumbledore overshadowed him
But he had proven to be a genius potion master in his younger years improving methodologies in his potionbooks with the alias Half blood prince as well as making his own spells and being a master at Occlumency( defense against mind penetration)
His abilities at Occlumency is the reason why Voldemort could never read his mind and find out he was a spy
It was safe to assume he is only Second to Dumbledore when it comes to ranking order of the Phoenix members
Idk. I’d say he’s equal with Minerva McGonagall, who was also a very skilled, knowledgeable, and powerful witch. Dumbledore recruited her to Hogwarts personally because he knew of her immense skill. She was also a dueling champion in her youth.
@@witdajuice6763 The reason i put snape above minerva is because Snape is well versed in the dark arts, he lived it, practiced it and knows how to defend against it
Against a dark wizard snape would definitely fair better than minerva
Being a double agent can give him advantage is that he can identify how to fight the like two side.. Snape's under voldemort and dumbledore could teach him a lot..
@@witdajuice6763 He was more powerful than Minerva, if you are a core reader of HP series, you can figure it out easily.
@@saquib9148 I’ve read all the books dozens of times; it’s never even implied. It IS implied that they’re on similar levels, which is still far above the norm. I’ve been addicted to HP since I was 6 years old, in 97, when the first book released.
The Marauders’ story is one of the most heartbreaking things I wish they drove into that a lot more in the movies
@@generalgrievousproductions i think they meant that they all died. James died, Sirius died, Lupin died and also did Pettigrew. but i could be wrong
Hearing The Oak say "Potterverse" really put a smile on my face.
It's amazing watching 3 grown men turn into Potterheads before our eyes. Loved all the reaction videos guys, and how deep you've emerged yourselves into the Wizarding World

Thank you! We are taking all of it in!
Snape’s skills prove why he became headmaster in his own right
The one that played Remus really did well.
Love this fan film. The actors did such a great job. Two other awesome ones are "Sisters of House Black" and "Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch." Thanks for reacting to this! 💕
Oh we definitely had a fun time watching. Hopefully we make it to the other 2 movies as well. Thanks for watching!

Oak is really here representing all of the adult-made-fans. My guy is Hecking Deep Diving and I’m so proud of him for that.
Love seeing the Oak being like a kid at Christmas with this love of things Potter 😆
One thing you need to know - and the reason Lily is upset with Snape and cannot forgive him, is during one of the duels between James and his gang against Snape, Snape called Lily a Mudblood. Lily and James were really upset about that and Snape was embarrassed and feeling the worst.
And he hang-up with future death eaters that bully her in a way.
It wasn’t a duel it was a sexual assault. James is a sex offender
Where is that in cannon? Sounds like fan fiction
@@ChelseaChfy-ex1po yes it's canon, you can google "harry potter prequel"
Wow, you're spoiling us with these reactions, it really feels like rewatching everything as a big family! These are hidden gems, they managed to do an amazing job!
EDIT - it's just so fun to see The Oak becoming a fan of the books too, they're just on another level of awesomeness!
House of sisters black and Neville and the dark witch (or something like that) Neville’s backstory are two other amazing fan films
This has always been my favorite fan movie. Broad Strokes always does a professional job with it. I'm really glad you reacted to it.
As good as many WB shows😉
Snape was always formidable and ridiculous in his talent and commitment to the craft.
"Are you serious?"
"No you’re Sirius"
Brilliant
PERIOD
yea them being dicks to snape and even got him to say mudblood to lily james potter is the worst character in HP after umbrige for me
@@Asingla116 James never made Severus call Lily a mudblood.
@@Asingla116Snape was just as bad back
James never stopped being a bully to Snape. They simply all left school so he couldn’t bully him cause he didn’t see him. James was a bully for the majority of his life.
@@ChelseaChfy-ex1po Yes, he stopped! Of course he defended himself when Snape attacked him but he stopped attacking him on his own account.
i mean let's be honest. just because he "stopped bullying Snape" doesn't mean he's redeemed lmao... they were all pretty terrible kids towards him
Honestly, these are the best reactions to these movies I’ve ever seen.
It’s hilarious and also shows the extent of the HP fandom that a group of college students could recreate the stories and give a entertaining new spin to it.
oh my god please they're incredible
exactly what i was thinking!
Yes!!!! I watched it so many times, it’s brilliant.
Every time I watch the real Potter I have to remind myself to hate voldemoryt.
Yes! Please react to them! They are awesome!!
So much fun watching this! The guys at Broad Strokes crushed it!
Oh my god, this exist?! Brilliant!! Thank you for introducing me to this fanvid, now I gotta see what more do they have!🤯 Great job!!
you've right, this fan made is amazing and well done with a quality unbelievable, for that they continued the story just with audio story.
Nice reaction, guys! There's another fanfilm called Sisters Of The House Black. It's about Bellatrix, Narciss and Andromeda's backstories. You should check it out if you haven't yet. :)
Omg I was just thinking it would be great having you guys watching / reacting to the fanfilms and here it is!!! Please do the Black sisters too!!
FiendFire is the spell that Goyle used in the Room of Requirements when Harry had to save Malfoy. Which is also how the diadem was destroyed
It's also Dark Magic, which we know James despised! I don't think he would have ever used it. Same goes for Sirius and Remus.
@@lydiak9921 agreed fully. I was shocked to see it used. I like how we see Lupin's reluctance to go along with James throughout the production. He still went along though. That's tough
Glad this film still gets attention after all this time. Thanks for watching!

"She is not a prize to be won" - Snape ❤
This is up there with The Hunt For Gollum, Astartes, Power/Rangers, that April Fools Legend of Zelda video, Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, and the other great fan films of early UA-cam
Something that Oak did not mention. **SPOILER ALERT**
.
.
.
Remus used to go to to the Shrieking Shack through the secret passage of the Womping Willow to transform into a Werewolf.
He was the one responsible for making all the noises in that house and build its reputation as a haunted house.
There is this one night when the Marauders trick Severus and send him to the house while Remus is there transforming ( and they knew it )
Remus then transforms and attacks Severus.
When things get out of control, James ends up saving Snape's life which is something that Snape feel ashamed for.
As far as I remember it was only Sirius who told Snape to go to the house and James saved him as soon as he found out.
Yesss!!! So excited for more Potter from you guys. I was sad when the movies ended. Now we get books too! 😁🥳
This reaction bring me joy like all other Harry Potter videos
James also never hurt Snape the only memory we saw was the one humiliation of him right before snape called Lily a mudblood
Snape however joined a blood supremacist group and called Lily a mudblood.
The only problem with this is according to the book's by this time James had changed he no longer picked on Snape. But apart from that t his was fun.
I may have to make a purchase when it come out...
Omg Oak doing reviews on the books is everything I need in my life
Wow that was my first thought when I saw that. I love it every time when I see it. I would go to the cinema at once with this actors. The Story is fantastic. Keep in mind that these are Snapes memories.
Sisters of House Black about Bellatrix, Narcissa and Andromeda is even better. IMO
This one definitely puts James in the worst light possible but it IS from Snape's perspective.
Clicked right when I saw the noti 😂 excited to see the reaction! :)

Thank you for taking my advice and watching this movie 😊 I feel special
Harry Potter Musical is very fun, funny, and well done- highly recommend it!!
I have never seen this before so happy y'all reacted now you are teaching us a few things!
I would love to see y’all react to Sisters of House Black. It’s very well made too, and such such a good job.
Wow 🤩 this was amazing! I literally didn’t even know this existed. Thank you guys for reacting to it
Other than the Marauders using Fiendfyre on Snape, this fan made movie is almost perfect.
there is a fanmade movie about Tom Riddle and how he chased the immortality by creating horcruxes : Origins of the heir// The house of gaunt
There is also another one about dumbledore & Gridnervald secrets and their chase behind the deathly hollows
The othe sort film about black house sisters
this was so epic! just found out I had put that fanmade movie to watch later years ago but mygod wow.. so cool
Ngl this is more what i thought duelling would look like after reading the books 😂 fucking well done!!!!!!
Potter was a bully but not sure he was such an ass and not sure that Snape could deal with the four of them 😅 you could also see :
- The house of Gaunt (a recent one which is very great even if it take some liberties with the story)
- Sisters of House Black (amazing!)
- The greater good (a bit old but great)
- Voldemort origins of the heir (again not a "real" story but they used some true details from Voldemort's past and they have great visual effects)
A lower "quality" but a great subject :
- Son of the moon
- The tale of the three brothers
Sorry for my english, I hope you'll like these movies !
I’ve seen this pop up on my UA-cam feed before can’t believe I never watched it. This was awesome! 💜
So glad that Oak will do the books
there are other fan films, one whit dumbledore that i know apparently also from broadstrokes pro and ther is one from kelsey ellison on youtube called sisters of house black (unofficial fan film)
Love this film, showed how much of a beast snape was
There are a couple of 'typos' you can say in this haha
For example, Fiendfire is said to be an incredibly powerful sentient fire (which destroyed the Room of Requirement, because it was cast by someone like Crabbe, who couldn't control it), and you're telling me someone like Pettigrew was able to control it? (same thing with nonverbal spell, he's NOT that powerful to use them, especially in a duel)
Then, well, Remus is dead by now, I'm sorry.
This makes me pull so hard for Snape. Even though I know the outcome
I never thought I would be on the side
Severus Snape
But after this?
I’m Team Half-Blood Prince All The Way!
I have never seen a video of an at least decently popular youtuber with 5 views*,
Like WOW! I've never been so early (I think)
Exited to watch the reaction
*I had an awful loading time
Haha. You were very early! 🤘
I love how this is clearly from Snape's perspective. Demonizing the Marauders and demonstrating Snape's "heroics" and prowess.
Awesome HP Fan film and man the best of them all.
Love the reactions. Love this channel! I hope you do Twilight movies next. They're not as good as HP, lotr, or Hunger Games but they were so loved by so many and I would really love to see your reactions to them. Keep it up!
"Are you serious?"
"No, you’re Sirius"
