- Explore the hidden history within Sheffield’s Old Town Hall from the comfort of your own armchair!
Visit and learn all about the Old Town Hall as we explore its history (and future) with Simon Ogden, the Castlegate Programme Director and Martin McAvey, Chair of the Castlegate Partnership who, as a young lawyer, worked in that very building!.
A fascinating building full of character, good to know that it will be preserved
Bet they Know it down as they have left it to ROT unfortunately
Brought back memories of one of my first jobs, accompanying the solicitors clients into court. Had completely forgotten until I saw this.
I really enjoyed that, thank you for the up load.
Very interesting and glad there going to refurb the building instead of just knocking it down
Good to see this is being brought back to life no matter what they are using it for it just needs to be used. Would like to see more videos like this.
Interesting building, glad to see it's being preserved!
Fascinating, thank you
As a child I was told my mother's parents relatives worked on building the town hall they went on to America to work on
Building the first woolworths, Cunningham or Blencoe, are the surnames, I wonder if their is any documents that list the building of the town hall?
The more accurate of a recreational the advantage of being able to make historical filming reanactment.
Glad its going to be repurposed but not sure of the ideas, using a main court for an apartment means too much of it will have to be changed?
Daft idea that won't work hence nothing has happened still and it's now March 2024.
Daft idea. Won't happen. Supposedly they can't change it internally due to grade 2 listing but now it's falling to bits.
More apartments for god sake. Don't you think there's enough of them 😞
Yeah they need more space to fit all the foriegners in, so they can fullful their Masonic Kalergi plan.
2021 April and still Work Not started
Because the businessman went bankrupt due to the lockdown.
Now January, 2024 and nothing done.
I still remember walking into that court. What a shame it's so dilapidated now.
As of 2023, as far as I know, it’s still derelict
April 2024. Ditto,😢
what a mess Sheffield's centre so sad so much history destroyed .
The city centre ended up being spread over too wide an area - apartments - who for?
@@doravernon1511 Fulfilment of the Kalergi plan of course and UN Agenda 2021 & 2030. Pack all the landless peasants into a central area and leave the countryside empty for the rich to enjoy.
