I like how it shows that Mariza doesn't want to be a God, but knows that she doesn't have a choice. While Larus is trying to convince her that being a God is great.

Larus seems to be acting like Mariza's bad influence, telling her all about the wonders of indulging in the luxuries of godhood. He appears to be arrogant, but not in a rude way. It also looks like he sees mortals as beneath him, which feeds into his arrogance. But we also get to see that he feels emotion just like the rest of us, when he seems to be hurt by something Mariza says. That shows us that he might see the people's worship of him as a sort of validation, which may be a hint towards insecurities about who he is, which could then mean his arrogant personality is a front. I love when writers give us these characters that have hidden layers that make them that much more relatable.
Mariza said: "when really your a sham" (i checked out the video with the original audio and it had the lyrics)
I mean they kinda of are. Because godhoods get passed down and all that. So they’re all just pretending to be their forebears.
@@Muu_Mika and it seems to be a sort of secret between all the gods because the people are not praying to a statue of Lars they're praying to some different figure who was a wind god

Ah, the siblings. I love their dynamic so much, it's so fun to watch them bounce off of one another. He just yoinks her up. She probably soaks him with waves if he gets close enough and he complains. Always a good time. Love all the little Easter eggs you snuck in here as well ;)

Bloody legendary work, animation felt a bit hard to follow thanks to all the detail but considering how I always watch these multiple times over I don’t mind too much, song also feels like it fits a bit too well and, just, thank you, this story is so brilliantly developed and the time you spend animating clearly doesn’t go to waste

First thing I noticed was how generally apprehensive Mariza is about this whole thing, while she tries to put on a confident face (and at times she genuinely might feel more confident) the doubt about the whole thing can't help but creep back in. Larus is trying his best from what I can see, but he's aware that it's not quite working out. And when those two seem to be enjoying themselves the energy is so contagious!! I really enjoy this, and while I can't say I fully understand this, I really like what I do get.

i REALLY love Mariza's new design with the tail, makes all of her movements look a lot more natural and it really ties so well with the idea that she really is becoming the new sea goddess.

For a song called "It's tough to be a god," they sure do spend a lot of it talking about how easy and nice it is to be a god.
The original song is from the Dreamworks film Road To El Dorado were two con men from Spain windup in El Dorado and pretend to be Aztec gods.

NAHH SHANDZII AND ANNAPANTSU IN ONE VIDEO??? I never knew I needed this until now.
This animation style is really interesting. Only some parts of the main characters are colored, so despite the background is really rich on details, you never lose the characters on the screen. Cool feature - it's good both for the viewer and for the animator (they'd definetly spend much more time on animatics if these were fully in color).

Worrying, the idea of the "Gods" of both the air and the sea working together and creating religious believes around them. At some point we're gonna see an animatic for "Chruch" by the Fall out Boys that'll show the collapse of their religions.
PS: Always a joy seeing your animatics, they are always so pleasant to watch, so vivid with imagination and talent.

HELL YEAH!! Your animatics are always such a bop and candy for the eyes Shands, as always well done
First, more content has been granted, rejoice oh children of ocean idiots. Second a few of the details I really liked, (Note info used in this is from the tumblars which may be out of date to your current itteration in the every changing and evolving story you beautifully weave)
The ocean reaching out to catch Miriza as she falls just makes me think moana but with more amnesia. The constant moving and repositioning of her tail is just terrific and the gesturing alongside her hands is just great. The backgrounds are beautiful. The scene changes are smooth and superb. Bartholomew. The look larus gives on the line 'when you're a sham' like theirs just a grain of pain in there put also saddness that there isn't much other way, (eg Ebeko's cult not changing its worship of him from his acedentaly tempermantal early years). On the matter of Ebeko I like how his vissage is quite disimilar to his true form, its fire not Cool magma/obsidian, his worshipers are stuck in the past not his now, also the robes are just perfect for a death cult, the long sleavv ends shortining the hoods that jut out backwards the geometric lines and nature of it just screams cult and its so subtle.
Finally the scene at 0:55 showed a face of the sun, if all the other murals are roughly to scale then HOW BIG ARE THEY???!!! I mean the hand was one thing those withered decrepid digits, and the rough scale was eye opening but, just, please I ask little, just knowlege, Please? A dripfead of lore to make me hunger more? To be Breif, OIDHBIneirudsjnhfbidjsnouhsdfjvkjpnWHYISITSOGOOD, Have a nice holiday season whatever that may entail, lovely animation.

I could never understate how much I love these animatics of this OC world y'all have made. I wish I knew, well, everything I could about this world. I get visibly happy whenever I see you post one of these. The characters are so dynamic and have so much personality that I can't stop watching them. I'll probably be watching this one repeatedly for a while as I did with the other two lol. I'm about to go to Melody's Tumblr and read everything I possibly can cause as I was writing this I found out that lore is there.
