  • In this video, I show you and tell you how to use a ratcheting screwdriver. If you have one of these types of screwdrivers, your life will be a whole lot easier whenever you use it. It allows you to fasten and loosen screws without having to turn your wrist all of the way. With that being said, they are extremely easy to use, but there are some simple instructions that you should know about if you want to use them effectively. I tell you the specific instructions that you should know and demonstrate myself using it to fasten and loosen imaginary screws.

thanks. I was actually always using stationary thinking the left was to release the screw bit (make it easier to take out) and the right was to tighten the screw bit (for tougher jobs).

Thank you. Had not used in a while and screws were tight so couldn't tell how to reverse rachet. Helped tremendously!

Is this ratcheting mechanism only for tight/ harder screws that are hard to open or close like those on wooden items? Because I tried this product but I noticed it doesn't work while opening or tightening screws on Electrical switches as don't turn the screw after one turn so I was forced to disable the ratcheting system to normal and then unscrew the screw

What's the black band around where the bit attaches

I have similar but I have small bits not the long extension you have. Every time it ia pain to load and unload the bit. There is a ball mechanism to prevent the bit falling but then again it takes a lot of force to load and unload the bit. Perhaps the one i bought had a missing part.

Thanks a lot for this video. My granddaughter and I plan to switch the refrigerator doors. And all the tutorials call for a ratcheting screwdriver. Thank you so much
