Many mistakes are made very often, this shows how serious these mistakes can be. Some videos have even been cut short to not show any injuries.
This is a reminder of how important it is to obey the traffic rules to make the road safer for all of us.

Excellent foresight! You place your car so that drivers turning in your direction could swerve around the obviously confused driver and safely go back into their lane with space to spare. Bravo. Bravo.

Brake checking is illegal. Guess they think if they make you rear-end them, it'll be your fault and not theirs. Why you need dashcams.
@@timelytorch I had someone brake check me forcing a collision. Not only did I have it on dashcam, so his insurance paid for everything, but he went on a racist tirade which I also caught on video by holding my phone on record at my side with him in view. He didn't think that by law he'd have to show me his driver's license and insurance information which the police officer forced them to by getting it from them and giving it to me, which I promptly took a picture of, and then we had the BWBOA (black women's advocacy group) find out and contact his employer en masse from several channels along with on their social media presence, and asked why they would keep someone like this in their employ. Management agreed and we were informed that they had terminated their association with that former employee. I followed him for some time before losing interest, to see if we could inform his next employer as well but he stayed off of social media and linked in.
Incredible that someone managed to rear-end a cop car with their lights on. Best laugh I've had all week.
You can see the cop car sliding, I’m guessing he turned his lights on to warn people behind him about the iced road, which the driver of the white car obviously didn’t pay attention to. Lol
Had a guy behind me one day road raging. Guess I was supposed to run the light. Leaning out his window, yelling, cussing, even threw an empty beer bottle at me. Sitting behind the idiot was a cop. Light changes, he zips around me in the intersection, cutting people off. It was hilarious when he got lit up.
They were probably looking down at their phones
Actually, you'd be surprised how often that happens... More often than gets reported (and certainly more than you'd like to think) the second crash at a traffic accident scene is just after the police arrive and someone "target fixates" on their flashing lights, taking out the cruiser/SUV...
I've been at several accident scenes over the years, and about half the time there's at LEAST two (2) close calls with traffic getting dangerously near emergency vehicles (cops, wrecker, ambulance, even the fire truck when fuel spills) before the road is cleared up... I've personally seen 2 cruisers taken out by other drivers just sitting at a scene on the side of the road...
It's arguably damned dangerous to stop on the shoulder anyway, but especially treacherous with a cop running the flashers nearby. ;o)
@@gnarthdarkanen7464 the part with the cop flashing the lights has nothing to do with target fixation and everything to do with road conditions, you may not have noticed previous comments, but the road was covered with a sheet of black ice, if you look closely you can see the white car has no turning wheels as soon as it entered the frame, suggesting that the driver tried to stop before he even got into frame, before he even saw the cop lights most likely. The lady at 3:00 did the right thing, when you see someone doing something wrong stay away from them because you never know what they're going to do next.

Yes! I don't know why some drivers are so territorial. I've always said, if you drive in retaliation to an idiot driver, there are now TWO idiot drivers on the road.
The only idiot at 1:08 is the dashcam driver. He speeds up to not let the car from the left merge even though that is exactly what that car is supposed and allowed to do. Not letting someone merge and definitely speeding up to block it is an offense in some countries.

I think nobody is innocent there. Dashcam not letting him in is passive aggressive, but the multiple brake checks in response was aggressive aggressive
trying to merge into someones safe stopping distance is a scumbag move in of itself. its actually the person merging overs responsibility to safely merge in not speed up to pass a car and then expect them to slam on their brakes to let them merge in.

These videos almost always make me angry but shout out to those two drivers who were making sure no one got close to that drunk driver. Respect

That's actually a very dumb way to get killed...
If you see a drunk/impaired person obviously struggling to control their car on the road, REPORT THEM... If you must follow, do so carefully, since you're clearly RECKLESSLY slow on the highway keeping behind someone like that (in the clip)... AND then let the police/emergency services handle it... THEY GET PAID FOR IT AND HAVE FLASHERS that are better than your hazard lights...
Driving drunk/impaired is an invitation for disaster, and as much as I hate the idea of putting other "innocent" road users at risk (including myself) there's no good to come from protecting a useless drunk from him/her self...
All it takes is one dubious curve with poor visibility and a vehicle "at speed" full of legally driving and riding people will be RIGHT up your ass for the trouble... Before anyone gets to know what the hell is about to happen.
...Worse yet, they could take YOU out and the drunk just drives away completely oblivious... Nope... I'm not sticking my neck out for people like that. NOT risking my car or my ass or my passengers. Report it and get the hell on out of the situation, one way or the other.
No virtue to signal there. ;o)
Report them... don't follow them and block a highway... and that follow them speech was dumb. You want to get them help... get them in the drunk tank. After your video is done and you get your clicks, nothing will prevent them from doing it again or at least hold them accountable. You're enabling them.

It can be easy but that also means that people will zone out and not pay attention, which leads to accidents. People also tend to have a very self-centered attitude when driving.
It's not that people don't know how to drive properly. It's that they don't give a shit and just do whatever they want. The cops don't help either. They never pull over people doing this crazy shit but they pull me over the ONE time out of thousands of turns where I forgot to put my turn signal on.
IQ TEST would fix things real quick and free up the roads
Driving is easy to intuitively understand if you have the intuition. Some people "just won't get it." This is why women get a bad rap about driving: most women don't have that intuition and most men do. "Most" means there are many exceptions, of course.
Driving school should just be these videos on repeat.
Maybe they'd actually learn something that matters there.
many years ago in driver's ed, the teacher told me this: Every other driver out there is out to smash or kill you. Keep an eye out for the idiots.

@@KB-nt7eg I had to teach myself to drive so I watched like maybe 10 hours of idiots in cars and determine who was right or wrong and see how I could avoid certain situations so I think these could be educational with the right explanations

Seeing 3 drivers coordinate like this, I'm gonna assume they communicated with each other, and the police were called by one of the other drivers.
I would like to think they did...but this is also 2022 and the only phone calls are about extended vehicle warranties...which may be useful here.

These days their reward for calling the cops would be a hefty ticket for using their cell phone while driving.
I understand that some people are lazy, but I find it amazing that some of those people bring that attitude to driving. Like, you're already sitting on your ass; all you have to do is move your hands and feet a little bit, twist your neck a tad and move your eyes around. But nope, even that's too hard 🤦🏼♂️
The lazy part isn't the moving of the hands or feet or head, it's the thinking or thinking ahead.
@@jovetj I think that's more of a disability. Drivers like this can be taught to plan ahead or look for certain situations, but they'll never be able to figure it out on there own. You give them too much credit.

at 5:25 Why do people film knowing there is going to be an accident? Why not attempt to alert the driver or at least slow down to make him stop? Some only care about views or to watch something crazy instead of being considerate.

The better question is why isn't there anything that prevents from driving while the things are up.

I'm admittedly somewhat of an idiot driver (which is why I try to avoid driving), so it boggles my mind when I see clips of people who PURSUE follow up interactions with other drivers out of pure road rage. If I even make eye contact with another driver, that's already too much confrontation for me LOL

Well eye contact doesn't have to be a bad thing. If we make eye contact at a stop sign I'll most likely wave you on and go about my day.

The drunk driver one, the passenger was on the phone with 911. In an update they said that the driver actually made it back their house and the cops met them there

And as other people said already, the correct course of action is not to take matters into their own hands, but rather to involve someone who can actually do something useful, instead of just blocking the road and waiting for an accident to happen sooner or later. The problem of a drunk driver driving was not dealt with at all.

Happened in Denmark in January.
A bike was dropped on the highway and Falck (who went to get the bike) set up a road block/sign which the truck driver failed to see.
Truck driver survived.
$365 fine/ticket.

That one of the front-wheel drive car struggling to get up an icy road isn't an idiot driver, it's just the tragedy of weather in some areas. Ice is no joke and even AWD and 4WD cars can struggle on it. That kind of weather, they probably wouldn't have gone out if they didn't have to.

Don't be an aggressive driver! When lanes merge, do not speed up to block a car/truck merging. THAT s aggressive driving! It only costs you 3 seconds to let someone merge. It's a minor hassle, but you MUST allow for stupid drivers.
and don't be a timid driver, it's much harder and more dangerous to merge when the traffic flow goes 90, but the timid merger in front of you is doing 40.

4:20 I must admit that I didn't see what he was upset about before I rewatched the video. I was focussing on what the truck ahead was doing, and didn't think to look at what went on in the opposite lane.

Everyone is very lucky that the driver hit a big rig with a full load instead of an innocent family.
Hope the truck driver made it out with minimal injuries, but his vehicle saved lives.
I'm guessing the wrong way driver didn't make it because that was a pretty hard hit for them into a massive vehicle.

Shouldn't the tow-truck driver have seen it in the rear-view mirror, i mean if he was looking in the mirror at all?
@@davund3594 Maybe yes, maybe no. Depending on the angle and high of his inner mirror, he would not see the crane. And of course, when did the crane get into that position? I doubt he left it that way as he started, that just wouldn't make sense. My guess is a malfunction of one of the magnet valves, causing the crane moving upwards while driving.
And: does this change the fact, that the cammer is just behaving like an arsehole, not trying to stop that tow-truck?
@@JuergenHoppe1 Not defending the cammer or anyone for that matter, just having some issues with the incident. I also think he should have a warning indicator for the crane.

Once again many pos truck drivers and I don’t mean the semi. The mindset of some of these drivers that thinks they deserve to cut in in front of others and if they don’t get their way they do dangerous childish things such as break checking. I hope there’s a law where break-checkers are found at fault for the accident.

Yes, most places brake checking is illegal and makes you responsible for the accident. The issue is proving it without dashcam footage or third party witnesses. Without some sort of visual evidence, you will not be able to prove that they were at fault.

To all the people following the drunk driver on New Year's eve, standing ovation and brilliant thinking to use your emergency lights, hopefully it attracted some police as well to get them drunk off the road per,ananently.
It IS possible the driver was impaired for some other reason besides alcohol, drugs, medication overdose, medical emergency, etc.

I think the black car should have got in the appropriate side of the lane. The cammer could have thought that the black car would turn left, since it was on the left side of the turn about. The black car tries to speed up and get in front of the cammer despite having no room to.

That accident happend in Denmark around january. A bike had been dropped on the highway so the private company Falck was called to remove it. They set up a road blocking sign which usually has bright blue and orange flashing lights which the trucker failed to see. The trucker survived and was fined for the accident

Man, I'm just gonna make this comment on every video. I hope insurance companies see half these videos where the person feels totally justified, and they laugh them out of the office because they caused the accident by seeing the issue and "standing your ground" like an idiot. It amazes me how many truck drivers are willing to do it, makes me think EU truck drivers don't own their trucks? Seriously people, just because you are in the right, doesn't mean you should run people off the road or let accidents happen you can avoid. People are so stubborn, it blows my mind they're willing to cause themselves grief because they have to be right at all times and never back down.

I came to the US on vacation. Here in Barbados we drive on the left. I went the wrong way a couple of times, so I feel for a few drivers I suspect this happened to. Eventually we got the hang of it.
That's why is never good to judge because then you'll find yourself in that same position.
@@thomashajicek2747 i did too, but not everyone is the same and sometimes muscle memory just kicks in. Many tourists come to the Caribbean and also end up making a little slip up from time to time. You just have to be patient and have some understanding with them.

Thank goodness for people like the cammer at 3:22. Definitely should have called the police to come and apprehend (and also in case it's a medical emergency-- I've seen clips of people having diabetic emergencies who drive like they're drunk because of blood sugar) but taking steps to prevent an accident from an obviously dangerous driver?
