I think any road trip is an adventure and by bicycle in my opinion is the ultimate way to experience nature; moving along at a leisurely pace to enjoy the change of scenery. My road trip of choice is high up in the Andes, from Salta in Northern Argentina, across the Atacama Desert to the Pacific Chilean coast; the sound of silence is like nothing else and the sky at night as clear as can be to loose yourself in the vastness of the universe.
When my daughter war 4 years old we decided to do our very first mum-daughter adventure trip. We were hiking over the mountains for five days, sleeping in huts along the way, and then jumped onto our bikes and finished the tour from Styria (close to the Red Bull race course) to Carinthia! It was amazing. Of course - as my girl was only 4 - we did around 6km hiking per day and around 15km on the bike every day. But we managed to arrive safe and well. My go to road trip would be the west islands of Scotland all the way from Arran to the Outer Hebrides, because the scenery is absolutely breath taking and quite remote!

Go camping and waking up to the nature sounds is the most amazing thing. Running around waterfalls and mountain biking along the trails would be a lot of fun.
Best roadtrip I can think of is driving to Finland in the summer from Paris. crossing northern europe, cold swims, mountains, lots of fresh air and finishing off in Kuopio Finland to compete in the Ironman next year! Hands down the most beautiful and magical place I have ever visited, where the sun never sets!

My ultimate road trip is Cornwall !! It’s so mega awesome that I now live here in my little caravan by the ocean. The revitalising blue juice of the Bude seapool that was rescued by the local people the friends of Bude Spool, the rolling quite cycling of Widemouth to Dartmoor and the magical running views enchanted woodlands and friendly wildlife to Sandymouth and Stowe woods. I just love it 🙂

I live in Florida, USA, so my ultimate road trip would be down to the Keys and to Tortuga National Park, which you can't actually drive to. You have to take a boat or a plain to get to the national park... so cool! It's a sunken fortress in the Gulf of Mexico. Your trip looked wonderful!

The best road trip I have ever taken was this Summer with my Dad after his retirement. We went along the Wild Atlantic Way down the West Coast of Ireland, all 1600 miles from Donegal to Cork. We stopped off at loads of stunning beaches for a swim, took on some rugged bike routes and climbed a few mountains along the way. My ideal road trip would be the Dempster highway through Yukon/Northwest territories (Canada). A very long, rugged and remote gravel road that leads to the Arctic Ocean. Preferably in late June and go for a swim, aka quick dip, in the Ocean during the midnight sun.

Round the west coast of Wales. Fabulous, clean beaches and such adventure with coasteering etc, and the national cycle path gives almost unlimited off- road, but path cycling and the most beautiful runs. And the people are lovely and welcoming. What's not to love?!

The roadtrip worth doing is the one we have scheduled with a caravan next year, which will be the triangle of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where lots of swims (in hopefully not too cold) lakes, lots of hilly bicycle rides, and amazing runs in nature will be - so definitely I would recommend that one!
A road trip I would love to go on is around Canada, extremely diverse and everyone says how vivid the colours and the landscape is! But in the Uk I would love to do the Scottish highlands, you forget how beautiful the UK is and how much there is to see! My husband and I would do a route trip through whole Denmark. We love the seaside and the Danish people are so lovely and chilled. We can also recommend the bike paths there, which often are next to the normal street. The summer over there is just amazing and the beaches are brilliant. Especially the island Rømø next to the German island Sylt is wonderful.
After beating cancer a few years ago I went to the west coast of Ireland to celebrate the win. There I met a nice triathlete at training and I was immediately enchanted by the sport. When I was back in Germany I immediately started training for my first triathlon and I got first in my age group (but just because I was the only one in my age group)😅. Because this holiday was a very special one in terms of my past (cancer) and my future (triathlon), it would be my ultimate road trip to go there again. I was support crew for my best friend doing The epic Celtman Extreme Scottish triathlon this year, starting at the beautiful but cold Shiedaig village, cycling beautiful highland roads and finishing with running 2 Munro mountains!! It opened my eyes to really what a beautiful place we have here in Scotland, so many places I’ve not been to, so many opportunities to be had for adventures cycling the Bealach Na Ba(Scotland’s only alpine pass) or adventuring the hills or simply just exploring with family and the dogs, opportunities to make memories everywhere!
Around the UK’s coastline with my three dogs and friends. Including the Scottish outer and inner Hebrides with bikes, wetsuits, walking boots and trail shoes in the back ready. The sun shining and smiles across our faces and a lit fire pit with cold glasses of gin in the evening, whiles watching the sun set.
My dream road trip would be to travel around the coast of Australia because of all the awesome running and cycling trails and also swimming in the crystal clear waters.

My ideal triathlon roadrtrip would be Brisbane→Gold Coast in Australia. The Australian coast has amazing beaches and the roads are wide and flat, perfect for a relaxing ride or jog. On the way to the Gold Coast is the Sunshine Coast, which also has amazing beaches and food. The waves on the Sunshine Coast are a bit calmer, making for an excellent swim.
My dream road trip would involve island hopping through swimrun on the Swedish islands, then followed by a ride up the hill, stop and have a coffee and cake break, and then finish off with a hike to the top of the mountain to catch the sunset!🤩

100% The Wild Atlantic Way down the west coast of Ireland. Rugged landscape, great ocean side trail running. Start in Donegal and spend the week going down the whole west coast finishing in Dingle Co.Kerry.

I went there a lot as a kid and am instilling the same love of the lakes into my daughter as well, what’s not to love with lake swimming, some cracking cycle routes (both on and off road!) and trails to run on 👌🏻
Ideal off season trip: Traveling round Snowdonia. Being fairly local to me, this offers a great adventure with endless footpaths and stunning roads to cycle up and down. I go here and stay in my converted camper, no need for a holiday home, it's all about living in the landscape. Just got to make sure to wrap up warm in the winter 🥶
My ultimate ‘road’ trip would be following the Tour De Manche costal route through Devon over to Brittany and Normandy and back via Dorset. Beautiful scenery in the UK and France, soaking up the culture and sights. Definitely on my list of things to do.

Norwegian fjords (over the summer of course): it has the end of the world feel where time and humans have not conquered nature. The purity of the sea and the mountains, the longest days you can imagine, and the wild northern Atlantic at your feet, wow!

Starting in Los Angeles, to Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, then looping back through Arches, Bryce Canyon, and Zion, before stopping in Las Vegas on the way back to Los Angeles. This was the trip that I took my wife on her first time in the USA.
Get down to Australia to do Ironman Port Macquarie and road trip the east coast of Aus. So many amazing spots and you can choose to go North for hot weather or South for cooler weather - definitely no wetsuits needed down here!

Ultimate road trip would have to be round the countries bordering the Adriatic Sea; beautiful crystal clear waters, stunning scenery and National Parks, a great place to catch a tan, and of course the food is delicious!!
My favourite place is the Swiss alps. Beautiful mountains, stunning glacial lakes and to top it off amazing cheese, chocolate and beer! It was visiting my friend there that helped me remember swimming can be fun and not just training.
Scottish Borders. Beautiful scenery, lovely road and off road biking, gorgeous lochs to swim in, amazing trails to run on. Friendly people, lovely cafes. You'd love it.
My ultimate road trip would be the Great Ocean Road in Australia, it's 243km of stunning natural beauty and I'd love to drive the whole thing with some adventurous stops along the way!
The roadtrip worth doing is the one we have scheduled with a caravan next year, which will be the triangle of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where lots of swims (in hopefully not too cold) lakes, lots of hilly bicycle rides, and amazing runs in nature will be - so definitely I would recommend that one!
Through the Yorkshire Dales and into the Lake district the roads can be so quiet and its so beautiful!!
A road trip I would love to go on is around Canada, extremely diverse and everyone says how vivid the colours and the landscape is! But in the Uk I would love to do the Scottish highlands, you forget how beautiful the UK is and how much there is to see! Great to see you being so complimentary and happy to be holidaying in England!

Ultimate Road Trip: New Zealand! Central North Island around Rotorua/Taupo or Lower South island Queenstown/Wanaka because there's awesome scenery, beaches and mountains in the same day, along with a tonne of fun activities and great people.
My husband and I would do a route trip through whole Denmark. We love the seaside and the Danish people are so lovely and chilled. We can also recommend the bike paths there, which often are next to the normal street. The summer over there is just amazing and the beaches are brilliant. Especially the island Rømø next to the German island Sylt is wonderful.
After beating cancer a few years ago I went to the west coast of Ireland to celebrate the win. There I met a nice triathlete at training and I was immediately enchanted by the sport. When I was back in Germany I immediately started training for my first triathlon and I got first in my age group (but just because I was the only one in my age group)😅. Because this holiday was a very special one in terms of my past (cancer) and my future (triathlon), it would be my ultimate road trip to go there again. I would be very happy about the equipment, since my old one is already a bit damaged.

The dream road trip has to be starting here in the UK and heading across Europe in the summer, getting warmer and warmer, going through the incredible French coast, across Monaco and down into Italy! The food and the wine alone would make this worth it, let alone the scenery.
I was support crew for my best friend doing The epic Celtman Extreme Scottish triathlon this year, starting at the beautiful but cold Shiedaig village, cycling beautiful highland roads and finishing with running 2 Munro mountains!! It opened my eyes to really what a beautiful place we have here in Scotland, so many places I’ve not been to, so many opportunities to be had for adventures cycling the Bealach Na Ba(Scotland’s only alpine pass) or adventuring the hills or simply just exploring with family and the dogs, opportunities to make memories everywhere!
Around the UK’s coastline with my three dogs and friends. Including the Scottish outer and inner Hebrides with bikes, wetsuits, walking boots and trail shoes in the back ready. The sun shining and smiles across our faces and a lit fire pit with cold glasses of gin in the evening, whiles watching the sun set.
My ultimate road trip would be up the Pacific Coast Highway. So many beautiful views, cute towns, and amazing parks to visit!

My dream road trip would be to travel around the coast of Australia because of all the awesome running and cycling trails and also swimming in the crystal clear waters.
My best road trip would be starting in Vancouver going down south to San Francisco and maybe also going to Zion etc. My wife and I did this years ago and it was so lovely
My ideal triathlon roadrtrip would be Brisbane→Gold Coast in Australia.
The Australian coast has amazing beaches and the roads are wide and flat, perfect for a relaxing ride or jog. On the way to the Gold Coast is the Sunshine Coast, which also has amazing beaches and food. The waves on the Sunshine Coast are a bit calmer, making for an excellent swim.
Done this very trip and can attest to its beauty
A road trip I recommend is going from Lisbon to visit Cascais, Sintra and all the amazing villages around not forgetting to taste the amazing food!
My dream road trip would involve island hopping through swimrun on the Swedish islands, then followed by a ride up the hill, stop and have a coffee and cake break, and then finish off with a hike to the top of the mountain to catch the sunset!🤩

I would defenetly go to Australia to do a Roadtrip. So Many road to explore running or cycling plus some lovely coasts for Swimming session. I always remember Bondi Beach where you have the ocean and an outside pool with view on the ocean. Sunsets are amazing ;).

100% The Wild Atlantic Way down the west coast of Ireland. Rugged landscape, great ocean side trail running. Start in Donegal and spend the week going down the whole west coast finishing in Dingle Co.Kerry.

I like doing roadtrips with our camper. My ultimate roadtrip to norway. The landscape is amazing. I would like to see polarlights and swiming in a Fjord. Maybe visit some places of the norseman triathlon.

I went there a lot as a kid and am instilling the same love of the lakes into my daughter as well, what’s not to love with lake swimming, some cracking cycle routes (both on and off road!) and trails to run on 👌🏻
Ideal off season trip: Traveling round Snowdonia. Being fairly local to me, this offers a great adventure with endless footpaths and stunning roads to cycle up and down. I go here and stay in my converted camper, no need for a holiday home, it's all about living in the landscape. Just got to make sure to wrap up warm in the winter 🥶
Ideal road trip is the North Coast 500. The scenery is stunning and lots of coastline to swim in. The Isle of Skye is beautiful too!!
My ultimate ‘road’ trip would be following the Tour De Manche costal route through Devon over to Brittany and Normandy and back via Dorset. Beautiful scenery in the UK and France, soaking up the culture and sights. Definitely on my list of things to do.
My ultimate road-trip would be to drive up to New England to visit the place I was born. It's such a beautiful part of the United States to see. I want to spend Christmas in a place that gets snow and looks like a dream. I haven't been near the sea in such a long time and I think it is time for me to be near it again.
If you like coast and beautiful scenery then I would recommend cycling from Seattle to San Francisco. I did it on a tandem beautiful
Vancouver Island would be my ideal trip. Mountains, rainforest, beautiful beaches surfing and old growth trees that are huge and hundreds of years old.
My dream road trip would be down the west coast of the United States with my family! I'd love to start through Washington state to run around the Seattle area and indulge in a bunch of coffee! Then head down through the beautiful coast of California and go for swims! Ideally after that, I'd leave the coast and go the Grand Canyon. It must be a beautiful sight and I hope to see sometime!!
I’d love to road trip around the UK’s national parks and do lots of wild swimming. Being a Geographer, I appreciate the natural landscape of the UK and got an even greater passion for them over lockdown. Definitely lots more to explore.
Norwegian fjords (over the summer of course): it has the end of the world feel where time and humans have not conquered nature. The purity of the sea and the mountains, the longest days you can imagine, and the wild northern Atlantic at your feet, wow!
Best road trip that I would love to do again: National Parks in SW USA. Starting in Los Angeles, to Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, then looping back through Arches, Bryce Canyon, and Zion, before stopping in Las Vegas on the way back to Los Angeles. This was the trip that I took my wife on her first time in the USA.
Get down to Australia to do Ironman Port Macquarie and road trip the east coast of Aus. So many amazing spots and you can choose to go North for hot weather or South for cooler weather - definitely no wetsuits needed down here!

Would love to do a road trip across Canada! The most amazing scenery for hiking, running and biking, along with probably the friendliest people you will ever meet. Obviously ending up on Vancouver island! Quite possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth and the people are so welcoming and down to earth! Cannot recommend enough!!!
