As a young fisherman (28) these kinda interviews and this history is awesome and im so glad these guys have kept the passion for fishing so long I hope to so the same Tight lines fellas !
Man, those guys are living, breathing encyclopedias of vintage gold! I could listen to Ed Brown talk for hours. The man just bubbles over with enthusiasm and joy for River Runts. You definitely have to visit him at home and document his basement. I almost regret joining the NFLCC now...because I'm already budgeting in my head for next year's big event and my wallet feels significantly lighter (covering my gleeful eagerness in shades of fake regret! Ha!).
Man I’m a 90’s child of a sporting goods salesman and avid bass fisherman. I’m getting addicted to your show! Love it! Wish I would have hung on to my dads salesman plug rings!
Next year you should go for a week and film an entire year's worth of shows! Wow, so much content! It was like Antiques Road Show had a baby with Retro Bassin!
This place is so cool. I'm proud to know that the classic lures have been kept for us to treasure them so we know where we came from ND are going to as well. Can't wait to go fishing this sunday.
This is a great episode. They just keep getting better. These NFLCC folks would give the shirts off their backs.Good people who like preserving a small piece of Americana.
It's always good to hear about home town area guy Fred Arbogast. I hadn't heard Dick Kotis' name for a long time. I am glad to hear that he is not forgotten. What a great bunch of guys!
Superb. As a lifelong fisherman, this is a fascinating video. I love hearing the history behind the lures and makers. I'm going to be rewatching this often. Tight lines from England 😊😊😊
My first event was Nationals several years ago and was overwhelmed like you probably were. The individual collections are amazing and so is the vast number of baits to collect. If you collect it then they usually are there.
Thx . Love old lures . Always looking for them to put back into action as they were meant for. .. I don't have any of big value .. I like unusual and weird designs .
Awesome video retro was waiting for this one. I swear that arborgast was the first one to make the wiggle wart before it actually became the wiggle wart because aborgast was making a small crankbait that looked extremely similar but smaller wonder if thats where storm got there idea from.
Them pencil plugs are used for river walleye fishing, my grandfather use to make pencil plugs for a living in Port Huron Michigan, my father still make the blanks and I paint them not saying these are ours that are on this show there not, there are lots of of pencil plug makers, our plugs are all still made of wood, there all worth the money excellent baits for river walleye fishing, excellent show by the way.
Nice coverage, thank you! It looks like the treble hooks on all the old and vintage lures are bright and shiny. Are the hooks originals and refurbished or have the hooks been replaced with brand new ones?
Man this makes me look forward to the Pigeon Forge NFLCC this coming January. Thankfully it's about 30 miles from my house so I'll be going over for several days and hopefully do some room shopping. Have you ever done any videos on Boots Anderson? He made the first square bill lures and started The Original Tennessee Shad company. If you'll shoot me a message on IG I'll send you some information. Boots also trained Fred C Young and showed him how to make lures. All those guys were from here in east Tennessee, lots of great history. I have some other interesting stuff I'll send you that a friend gave me.
Yeah, I don't need to go to places like that. My kids would be mad that I spent their entire inheritance, lol! Of course little do they know, the only thing I'm leaving them is my bills!
Can anyone tell me what the name of the lures are at 14:06 in the video? They are very unique and they peaked my curiosity, but I didn’t hear a name throughout the interview.
Hey bud I hope you're having a super great day I was going up into my attic yesterday guess what I found I found a whole box of old lures and I found old Bass pro shop catalogs that I had I have the first four Bass pro catalogs I haven't went to the rest of it yet anyhow have a super great day
Can anyone tell me what this lure make and model? I’m guessing it’s a Mann’s file:///var/mobile/Library/SMS/Attachments/40/00/F9E4EE54-836C-49D8-886D-3F5A8BDC5872/IMG_5153.HEIC

Thanks, Jon! How’d you find the channel?
In the 70’s every kid with a tackle box had a jitterbug. I have quite a few now. It was awesome to see the interview with Sam.
Boy that Hawaiian wiggler was a bad ass bait caught many many fish on it when I was real young love it 👍🎣
What an awesome place! Very cool!
Jitterbug at night in the summer is crack for Bass

I really enjoyed these episodes at the lure show and I really liked the Heddon part of this show! I love those river runts!
That was a great video Chris! Sam Van Camp is a wealth of knowledge when talking Arbogast! Love the runts! Thanks man!
Another fun one Chris.
River run Ray is cool! Love that guy.
I have a big tacklebox with several wooden lures some say 'Bassarino' on them. Jitterbugs etc.
This is fantastic actually peeped the price of one of my lures in this.
All these guys are stand up gentleman.
I wish that show wasn't on top of ICAST. Dang looks like an amazing time. Can't wait for Pigeon Forge!!!!

Man this is UA-cam gold!!! Awesome video retro!!
Great Show !!!
It's a shame there isn't more content like this and in general there aren't more histories of bass fishing.
Okay. The intro did it for me. Liked and subscribed
Yeah buddy, welcome aboard the Retro Wagon!
Whoa, I did not know such a place existed. I thought you collectors met in small, smoked-filled, dark rooms like Comic-con in the early years.

Man, Please follow up with the River Runts fellow. I'd love to see this collection!
You and me both!
That is cool.

Awesome video! I love the seeins believn line of baits. So awesome.
What was the name of the walleye stick baits the guy was selling?
Inventor here. I bet the screws are placed as they are, to avoid the spoon from being as easy to break loose.
All my collecting buddies
NEAT GREATTTT JOB AND 👏 👌 HE REALLY KNOWS HIS LURES...SMART GUY

I love jitterbugs!
Do they ever come to Louisville Kentucky
Yeah, I don't need to go to places like that. My kids would be mad that I spent their entire inheritance, lol! Of course little do they know, the only thing I'm leaving them is my bills!
Absolutely amazing you better find a way to get to Mr Brown's house before he's lost to time
Some of the prices were really good, $2000 not so much. Great video as always.
Can anyone tell me what the name of the lures are at 14:06 in the video? They are very unique and they peaked my curiosity, but I didn’t hear a name throughout the interview.
Wish I knew!
Love it!
I'm looking for Strike king Diamond Shad 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz new or used.

Great looking old lures that can still produce big fish!!! #RippinLipsInc on You Tube!!!
What do you mean when you say that’s a “tough” one or a “tough color” is that a good thing?
Not sure where it came from, but yes! Tough to find color.
I’d go broke and get divorced all on the sale trip if I went there. I’m glad I’m in Texas.
I have a few of those and more.
29:20 Wtf i live in Mentor OH 😂
If you find a spring activivated lure buy it
The one that you just showed is shaped like a peanut shell
i have one marmaid lure
$2000 right
I don't think he liked the way you held the lures . He kept taking them from you . Didn't want you to touch the paint
