Hello, I hope all is well with you! I have a question for you, do you know how to solve the tension/blockage in the initial attacks, something that is to attack the notes naturally, I think it is a little talked about subject and that many horn players have. This type of problem increases stress and performance on stage. compliments!!

Yes of course. It's one of the subjects most of horn players are asking because it's one of the most difficult things. But also difficult to explain in a few sentences. We recorded a 8hrs online video masterclass on www.stimmzug.de (english subtitled) where we also speak about (natural) attack. Otherwise we can do an online lesson and I will show you my way of attacking

      @ Hello!
In principle I will buy the masterclass, also to improve other aspects. But of course I would like to know your way of attacking the notes.

I know the problem all to well, and the problems and stress it brings with it! It’s called the Valsalva maneuver, VM for short. Steph Smith wrote two volumes on this which I can recommend. A good start is practice with breath attacks in all ranges, practicing slow with your tongue and diaphragm as relaxed as possible. way easier said than done, but the breath attacks should take away a lot of stress. What also helps is practice with a metronome, and always listening to the flow of music in your head, how your part fits with the other parts.. „hopping on a moving train“ so to speak.
(another „trick“ : Double tongue practicing not just ta-ka but in reverse Ka-ta-ka-ta, as well as triplets using double tongue.. helps your flexibility and keeps your mind away from focusing on the VM!… good luck, and don’t despair!!)

Danke dir. Genau das meinte ich 🤦‍♂️😉

Really great ideas here. I went to purchase your exercises but I could only find a physical copy. Do you offer any digital versions? Less paper the better.

    •  7 місяців тому

Unfortunately we just sell it as physical copy at the moment. Sorry

Hallo, als ich das Warmup Buch das letzte Mal bestellt habe, habe ich die Adresse in Koreanisch geschrieben, so dass es nicht geliefert wurde. Wie kann ich das lösen?

    •  Рік тому

Bei Köbl bestellt? Dann schreiben Sie einfach an ihn direkt eine Mail. Das lässt sich sicherlich lösen
