    Also, his phrasing for the soloing in Kuku is also
    not consistent with the original dance movements of this dance... What tribe is this version of Kuku from in West Africa?

    From what I’ve studied in the last 25 years as far as West African traditional djembé music, that first accompaniment does not belong in Kuku... I never used that second one either.
    I love and highly respect Maitre Madou Konates work, but those Djembé parts for Kuku are questionable.
