*PHEW* I was hesitant to post this for about 5 seconds because I thought that I might be chastised for saying the quiet part out loud. . .so to speak. There has been a couple of occasions that I was tempted to turn it off because he was getting way to much of a platform.
Let's be real honest. That is not possible. Her brain does not have 3 hours worth of thoughts that she can in a single sitting. Her makeup would melt from her brain overheating.
I love the interaction between Vinnie and Patrick. Vinnie is so emotional and I love the way he says "I'm done with it" while 'washing' his hands. Only then for Patrick to look at him, like a loving father, and give some calming, sensible advice. To my mind it's the interaction between the four vastly different personalities that makes this podcast so watchable.
And then there is Adam. He speaks last on a topic and Pat cuts him off to move to the next story. I LOVE when he does that. Adam's lack of substance and timing and the "right amount to add to a conversation" is SO off.
As an Australian who live sin Sydney, I don't want the world to forget what a nanny/police state we are. Never forget we had the police and army on the streets of Sydney during the lock downs. And if anyone thinks I'm lying/exaggerating, look it up.
Australia, your votes matter. As an American, I used to have the impression that Australians were fun loving, and independent people. So sad to hear about your loss of freedoms.

Australian here - all of you need to ask yourself why was it 34 - 19 who were those 34. To make it easier for you to understand, this law passed because the Republicans (Liberal National Party) and the Democrats (Australian Labor Party) voted as a block and rammed this law through against the greens, independents and a couple of LNP members that crossed the floor. So - it’s rushed. There was very little debate in the senate or the house on this. 2 major things here. 1 how is this law going to force the Social Media Companies to ensure that I , a woman who has been on social media for the better part of 25 years, am over the age of 16? They will be forcing the social media companies to use either Digital ID or Facial Recognition for EVERYONE!! Who does that sound like hmmmmm CHINA! 2. Australia is a VERY BIG COUNTRY we have people living in the most remote places that you could think of. Communication or phone calls and sms phone messaging is VERY EXPENSIVE out bush. There are actually a lot of children and adults for that matter who live on working cattle farms. Sheep farms. Fairly farms. Very very very remote like no neighbours for 1000km for eg. It is cheaper, easier and healthier for children to be using social media to 1. Stay in contact with family and friends. 2. Do their schooling because there is no school near by. 3. Be social with their friends online, because there are no friends near by locally. That’s is just one reason to not let this ban happen. There are heaps more as well, including all the mental health organizations who said it was taking away social support networks. I am a parent. I should be able to make the choice is my child goes on social media. Then to inspect that phone and also confiscate that phone if my child is being irresponsible. This law is about digital or biometric ID and winning elections in perpetuity. I’m sorry, but it is not my or my child’s fault that you are too lazy to get off your ass and check your child’s phone to ensure that they are not at risk by speaking with the wrong people, following unhealthy pages or posts or than you failing to remove a phone from a child who his not being safe or responsible on social media. Your child, your responsibility. How dare you say that you can’t stop your kid from being on Social Media because you are scared of your child being upset at you or your child emotionally manipulating you. You are the parent. Be the parent your child needs. Grow up.

Australian here - all of you need to ask yourself why was it 34 - 19 who were those 34. To make it easier for you to understand, this law passed because the Republicans (Liberal National Party) and the Democrats (Australian Labor Party) voted as a block and rammed this law through against the greens, independents and a couple of LNP members that crossed the floor. So - it’s rushed. There was very little debate in the senate or the house on this. 2 major things here. 1 how is this law going to force the Social Media Companies to ensure that I , a woman who has been on social media for the better part of 25 years, am over the age of 16? They will be forcing the social media companies to use either Digital ID or Facial Recognition for EVERYONE!! Who does that sound like hmmmmm CHINA!
2. Australia is a VERY BIG COUNTRY we have people living in the most remote places that you could think of. Communication or phone calls and sms phone messaging is VERY EXPENSIVE out bush. There are actually a lot of children and adults for that matter who live on working cattle farms. Sheep farms. Fairly farms. Very very very remote like no neighbours for 1000km for eg. It is cheaper, easier and healthier for children to be using social media to 1. Stay in contact with family and friends. 2. Do their schooling because there is no school near by. 3. Be social with their friends online, because there are no friends near by locally. That’s is just one reason to not let this ban happen. There are heaps more as well, including all the mental health organizations who said it was taking away social support networks.
I am a parent. I should be able to make the choice is my child goes on social media. Then to inspect that phone and also confiscate that phone if my child is being irresponsible.
This law is about digital or biometric ID and winning elections in perpetuity. I’m sorry, but it is not my or my child’s fault that you are too lazy to get off your ass and check your child’s phone to ensure that they are not at risk by speaking with the wrong people, following unhealthy pages or posts or than you failing to remove a phone from a child who his not being safe or responsible on social media.
Your child, your responsibility. How dare you say that you can’t stop your kid from being on Social Media because you are scared of your child being upset at you or your child emotionally manipulating you. You are the parent. Be the parent your child needs.
