- The fine folks at Tandy Emeritus were nice enough to send me a board for their real-time clock add-on to the SRAM expansion card. I Install it into my TRS-80 Model 16B and install XENIX 3.4, which contains native support for the SRAM card and the RTC.
Check out a detailed overview of the SRAM card, MMU, and XENIX 3.4 here: ua-cam.com/users/live7jBKwWGc...
Music (in order)

Very neat! Probably the most built 16B I've ever seen.
"typing in dates and times is a thing of the past." so this dude's got jokes, huh?
Hey was wondering if you might be able to help me with my Xenix machine. It’s an Altos but it has a MM58167AN real time clock chip. I’m running Xenix 3.1 - 3.2 on different Altos servers. I am not a programmer so I’m not sure how I can set it to the date past 1999. Any help would be great 😊
I did have a friend make a little program but it’s off on the leap year and it only really sets the software clock not the RTC. Maybe I could swap it out? I’m also not sure where to get the files to run the command..
Sadly there is enough variance between the various releases of Xenix and the platforms where it runs that I probably couldn't give you any useful advice. Xenix on the 8-in Tandy systems seems to work fairly well beyond 1999 out-of-the-box, so I didn't have do do anything special. I hope you get it figured out, and thanks for watching!
What is he running on it, why he needs this ?
