very nice video. You are improving. You mentioned the "Pipe Bridge" in the video and I grant you the first award ever in the Mention something about the canal that every other narrowboat series ignores Category. I always wondered about those and what they carry, especially in the rural area you were in.
That lock is always a nightmare. I did it twice 2 years ago and got stuck in that bottom gate in both directions. The paddles at the top end are also a nightmare.
Sorry for your Loss Johnny, RIP George x Another great video, enjoy yours so much, looking forward to the next. Good too see boaters helping each other, he was lucky you came along. Take care.
Sorry to hear your news Johnny. Another great vlog...liked the music this week. Maybe it is always the same...but somehow today it just resonated with me. Keep well and safe.
Hi Will, just trying to think of the last one I did that was that deep - Bath certainly, (wont count the Thames as they are so different). Not sure if there was another deep-ish one somewhere on the Oxford... guess I'll have to watch my own videos back to find out!
Hey that's great Ron, thanks - all numbered except three I did over xmas which were sort of "day in the life" specials... though proving to be the most popular I'll have to come up with more like that.
I’m new to your channel. Is that you playing the guitar? I am from the Nashville, Tennessee area and appreciate the music. It’s lovely. Have enjoyed the DYI episodes. You are both cheerful and informative.
No I get all the music off t he youtube library. If I tried to do all the music I'd never get the episodes done! I do play of course... something coming up on that soon actually...
Love your cheery approach to everything that comes your way!
Thanks - it's not all glory but I try and make the best of things.
Great video I think I ducked my head every time you went under a bridge 😉 thank you I enjoy your videos.
Me too! (ducking) lucky my wood piles on the roof were not too high!

In the event, I was quite glad that boat was there because when it came to my turn at least I didn't have to scale that lock ladder.

That was a great video Johny. I always learn really useful stuff from your videos - hope you’re well mate 👍🏼

Nice example of boater cooperation well done.
Yes, in the end it was handy he was there - that was a long old lock ladder I'd have had to have gone up!

Hardy a cruise goes by where there isn't some sort of minor drama - usually it's me so this made a change! Thanks for your kind words Susan.

Wasn't sure if I should mention it really, but it just sort of felt right to.

@@ProjectNarrowboat Many Thanks
Thanks for taking us along!
I wonder how long that chap had been in the lock?
Not too long I don't think - though long enough for me to catch him up... 20 mins?
@@ProjectNarrowboat Yep, not too long. Problem was being single handed, pushing gate against blockage whilst bringing boat into lock.

Great vid mate and thoughts with you on your family loss 🙏 One question, was that a light sabre next to your router?
Thank you. Oh - I know the thing you mean, it's just a torch. I keep a few dotted around the boat - always come in handy.
