    You should consider Albania (Tirana), very little taxes, cheap living & great food, flexible visa rules, gorgeous weather, nice people, and against all belief, it is safe. • @momchilyordanov8190
      @momchilyordanov8190 3 роки тому

      Velosofy, it is not exactly like that, unfortunately :) In addition to what
      Oleh Igorovich said in a comment above me, I would add that you pay 50% for everything. While the guy in the video is talking about 1 tax only. I can give you myself as an example. In my country in Eastern Europe, the income tax is just 10%. Sounds great, right? But when I get the breakdown of my monthly pay by the employer, it's 10% for the income, several percent for health insurance, several percent for additional retirement savings (which are mandatory, cannot be skipped) and when I draw the line, I get about 70% of what my gross salary is. So in reality, you pay 50% in Belgium, I pay 30% in Eastern Europe, but you have the "functioning police, infrastructure, transport, education and healthcare" Oleh was talking about. Who is getting the better deal?

    • @yurijmikhassiak7342

      Actually it's 5%. And you can afford everything you need. Visit to the doctor in private clinic is 18$. And there is no waiting line. Dentist are cheap too. But for serious stuff better to have insurance.

    Places like Denmark and Finland marked as happiest in the world .
    High taxes do exist in these countries.
    Its the overall well-being of the citizens that's outstanding and they don't seem to mind paying more for quality life.
    Your videos are exceptional!!

    • @0risB
      @0risB 3 роки тому +1

      Yes because as a citizen you’re entitled to a free health care and free education, including higher education and the unemployment benefits are pretty good. That means even the taxes might be higher, growing up in finland and starting a family is a lot cheaper than elsewhere. But expats or freelancers arent’t necessarily entitled to these benefits that the high taxes bring. Secondly, the taxes are progressive so it really depends who you ask if the taxes are high or not. For low and medium income person the tax rates are way lower than in many other european countries like for example in germany. For example if you earn less than ~15k a year your tax rate is 0%. An average person who would earn like 30-50k a year pays about 20-35% tax. So unless you’re a high income person, it’s really a miconception that the taxes are high in finland.

    Are these places much cheaper than living in Ohio? Numbeo website is a good research and all, but I am wounding the dollar amount it would cost to live in these places as a single person. Off of the website Kiev I would save around a grand per month living there. But yet again I pay 500 dollars for rent but says it cost more in Kiev for rent that I pay.
    This is my cost of living roughly. I do live on the cheap end as a single male where I live.
