I hate gathering, crafting, cooking and pointless fetch quests in games, tried TOTK and didn’t like it, let alone love it. Sold my copy already. But i can understand a lot of people do like all those things in games
i thought the sage abilities in TOTK were pretty good. It was nice that they didn't have a lengthy cool down. Riju's lightning may be a downgrade compared to Urbosa's fury, but i could use it as much as i wanted without waiting 20 minutes. It was also annoying that the cool down wouldn't start until I used all 3 charges. I would always use 2 charges of an ability and then not need to use it again for an hour, and then get mad that i could only use it once. The only issue i had with the sages abilities was how difficult it was to use them in the middle of battle. I found out much too late that you could whistle and call them to you, but even that wasn't super helpful. If they could have made some quicker way to access them in the controls that would have made a huge difference. Like maybe something similar to how holding the 'L' button brings up the wheel menu with your main abilities. You could hold 'down' on the d-pad to bring up another wheel menu with the sage's abilities, and selecting one would automatically teleport them to you and activate them. Either that, or maybe something like pressing 'A' while aiming your bow on the ground to activate Riju and pressing 'A' while holding a shield to activate Sidon. not sure what you could do for the others.
So did Zelda cause the apocalypse or did they just get really unlucky about when the seal over Ganondorf wore off? Because it didn't seem Link or Zelda did anything.
I blame the Hyrule royal family for banning Sheikah technology and allowing themselves to become so ignorant of their one responsibility that they failed to do their one job: maintain the seal on Ganondorf. They're usually optional or have puzzles centered around them, and both the comedy and gamebreaking factors are sky-high (Z-2997, I think, that's the altitude of the highest island above Lookout Landing). Puzzling out the intended solution in shrines is also a good exercise (that rollercoaster one with two rails becoming one was a nice brainstretcher).
Telekinesis and glue: one unexpected combination that is too much fun. I still miss infinite bombs, but Yunobo's a decent replacement.
😂who ever written the script probably didn't use the "Tulin pumping" technique
?
The WHAT!?
Dude he's like 10, I'm not going to pump him!
It means repeatedly putting away and taking out your paraglider to preserve the speed boost he gives you. PumpIng the PARAGLIDER, not the juvenile bird
im sorry the what
BOTW 2 isn't even that much of a meme that's just literally what the game is lmao. And I'm loving every single second of it
See I like this comment. It gets the 10/10 for me.
Yes, it's BoTW 2, does that make it bad? Hells nah!
But we gotta acknowledge that they didn't reinvent the wheel, they just made a slightly better wheel. 😂😆
Probably to try to justify that price tag.
@@samf.s.7731 that's why its the honest title it's BotW 2: Judgement Day (basically a 12 out of 10 sequel) , and not BotW 2: Electric Boogaloo
TotK is good, but 6 years for a souped up DLC at $70? Such a Nintendo move. I'm waiting til used cartridges get cheap, to avoid giving any $$ to Nintendo (I also bought my switch lite and all other Nintendo games used).
@Kira 1807 I love the RE4make as well lmao, it was fantastic. I think I’m enjoying TOTK more but they were both great
@Kira1807-uy6fe how exactly is a game having replayability fucked up?
I actually prefer these powers to the champions abilities. I just wish I could change how they’re activated
Link and Zelda don't move in together. She only takes his house and make him homeless.
This is entirely accurate except for 2:39 - They did NOT include enough babygirl outfits to properly prettify Link. I could let slide getting rid of the Gerudo Vai outfit, but not giving the Cece Hat a full set feels like an actual prosecutable fashion crime.
Such an amazing game. I still can't stop playing it. I go to do just one last thing and next thing I know I've got ten more one last things. I have to just drop the controller and step away like I'm trying to stop doing drugs or something.
Yes.
Same. I keep staying up until 2am just saying 5 more minutes. Can’t stop.
Ok, Guy Treeri actually got a laugh out of me. Well done.
Please say: "But what is the name of the princess that keeps getting my boy Zelda into troubles?" I have zero regrets for this! 😃
At least this trailer gives mineru the same treatment as the world of TOTK does. Completely forgetting her existense outside the 2 cutscenes
Oh no, anyway
I feel like you may have missed an entire temple. 🤔😉
Aye a spoiler warning on the final fight woulda been nice.
I love having to chase my allies around to use their ability while getting bashed by enemies or accidentally jumping onto the sage robot to become a massive target
The way I cackled at the Sidon and Link statue in Zora Domain - he is Link’s bf and no one can tell me differently
I've already spent over a hundred hours in this game and I am nowhere near done. I love it.
280 hours here... loving this game so much!
1:59 Wait a minute, are you suggesting that 50% of this game is Banjo-Kazooie Nut And Bolts but better?
Yes
"Guy Trieri" made me chuckle.
tbh it seems like Ultrahand would be the most useful irl ability. Lift any object regardless of weight and it comes with free superglue.
3:22 "I think this is what being a billionaire feels like?"
Up next: Link captures the Ocarina of Twitter and unleashes the Triforce of Free Speech, allowing fascists to claim that Ganondorf did nothing wrong, misogynists to say vile things about what they'd like to do to Zelda, and transphobes to demand that Sheik be kept out of public lavatories, with no penalties.
[/HARD HITTING COMMENTARY]
😂 This is a genius comment, thanks for the laugh!
You know, this is the first time I saw somebody compare the build mechanic in this game to Nuts and Bolts, which feels like it should be the most obvious comparison in the world.
The link shipping community will have a heyday now that he can build yachts!
"I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat! Everybody look at me 'cause I'm sailing on a boat!"
When he said to Riju the only useful member of our team well i can agree with that
Good video man 🤣
Have you even unlocked Tulin?
I don't know, Tulin for me is really good, both outside of combat and in combat with the headshots
@@Vextrove well I just said that bcs of the joke 🤔
But yes I have all the five
And if you ask me all of the them are useful except sidon
This is the aoptheosis of videogames.
Nearly 200 hours in and still amazed.
4:10 Aww, could have called him Launchpad McQuack
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed the resemblance
So love this and all but there are a few spoilers in this video be warned.
Getting wet is the best part of Sidon's ghost though! Doubles the total damage of any Zora weapon. 134 damage swords on demand
4:37 even tho that's a joke, that actually wets you and triggers the Zora's weapons' abilities
Please say, "Life is not just a series of zeroes and ones."
-Blabbot (Amanda the Adventurer)
Damn, I'm glad I beat the game because you just straight up show a clip from the final battle.
Every single spoiler has become unavoidable to the point that I've just stopped caring
I’m fairly upset about it…
It was 3 seconds of a 3 or 4 part battle.
I’m absolutely loving TOTK so far but this honestly had me wheezing 😂😂😂😂
If you'd be so kind, please could you majestically say "All of his co-workers were gone. What could it mean? Stanley decided to go to the meeting room; perhaps he had simply missed a memo".
I'm glad Ganondilf isn't just what I've been calling him the last few weeks lol
I'd have to think about which ability I'd use most in real life. Phasing through ceilings is a contender, sure, but I make no guarantees I'd use that one most.
my favorite in-game is fuse, but I'd probably realistically use ultrahand, just so I could pick stuff up from across the room
Computer engineer barbie is actually a pretty good name since Purah's VA was barbie or something
Lol the end is so relatable xD Yes, Sidon is actually the only shipping for Link I accept aside from Zelda
By trying so hard to set Link and Sidon apart they are making their relationship even more obvious and suspicious XD
I didn´t think i was that invested in Sidon-Link until that green stingray showed up and i yelled "Who´s this bitch"
“say SAVORQ to your nearest korok”!! LOL…. Cant believe u just spoke Gerudo 😂
"I'm just gonna have autobuild print me another plane... This is what being a billionaire must feel like."
😂😂
"The only valuable member of our team" and the smallest, hardest to activate! :p
I would personally like to thank Honest Trailers for also using the term “Ganondilf” like I immediately did the second I first saw his new character art. Bless
The yassified version of the game you loved six years ago is the best description of ToTK I’ve seen and Tauro is proof of that
The game has been amazing but i wish they explained more the Lore about the Zonai and the connection with Skyward sword.
Like, are Hylia and the Golden Godesses actually Zonai?
Apparently, Nintendo deliberately left all of that open to interpretation. The only real clue we have to how Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom connect to the other games is that they take place in such a time far ahead that all the other games have faded into myth.
Some people think that BoTW, AoC, and ToTK take place in a separate continuum.
@@h0m3st4r that used to be the case, but ToTK has a character go back to technically just after Skyward Sword, when hyrule was founded, before the rest of the games
@@marinmarinhola Yes but Sonnia and Rauru said that they were the founders and first kings of Hyrule but that should be Link and Zelda from Skyward.
Epic Voice forgot the fact that there is a statue of Link riding Sidon, but he is gonna marry someone else
Ganondorf - King of Mid suavemente 😂😂😂😂
finally someone mentioned that it is similar to nuts and bolts, coz that's what first came to mind when seeing the first trailer where you could build things :P
I think the only reason they shoehorned in a fiancee for Sidon is so that he can become king of the Zora without us asking if that makes Link co-king. What's-her-face literally said that almost every time Sidon talks, it's to talk about Link.
Can confirm about getting sidetracked. I got Tulin early on and since then I’ve been meandering around doing other stuff. I’ve almost forgotten about the main quest. Been too busy handing out mushrooms and getting a cool hat or helping that idiot put up signs, and trying to activate every shrine butt I see.
Please make an Honest Game Trailer for "System Shock".
1:57 Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought in Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.
You guys missed the obvious: Breath of the Wild 2: Electric Chu Chu.
"with special cameos from..."
"alphonse elric"(mineru)
"the upgrade sisters who for some reason look like drag queens"(the great fairies)
"fursona royale 2:spirit boogaloo"(mineru in their actual body)
and...
"enough tree people to occupy literal japan"(the koroks)
Totk isn't even the longest tutorial in its own franchise
Which one is?
Pretty sure the Skyward Sword tutorial is pretty long, but then that also depends on where you consider the tutorial to end. :P
@@EG-cm5th it's a bit of a toss up, but I personally think twilight princess.
@@TTabbyTT cool! I haven't actually played that one, so I can't say one way or the other. (that's part of why I was asking the question in my previous comment; I've played a few Zelda games, but not very many)
Don't get me wrong, twilight princess is a fantastic game, one of my favorite, but the beginning sequence can be very long if you don't know what to do. I actually enjoy the amount of time you get to learn about the friends in your home village before you have to save the world, but I can't deny that it's a long tutorial section.
Me and the sages are a camp raiding gang full stop. I always start the chaos with muddle buds or puff shrooms and then charge in. Love every second.
0:20 careful now...Genshin players are notoriously cut throat happy when they hear that.
But it's painfully obvious
@@mordredpendragon1235 but they will go in denial and say that other games have these mechanics as well and such, even though they're WAY too similar too ignore.
What's funny is that at the same time they'll label other games as a Genshin clone.
Congrats "Sidon my face: made burst out laughing for the first time in a while
Let’s gooooooooo! Who can’t love this game!? It’s soooooo awesome
Oh you're gonna love it, *FOR SURE*
Because it's BoTW again though, so...
I mean, it ain't broke so I guess Nintendo didn't fix it, but they just found themselves a "new formula" and a "new comfort zone" to chill in.
The game isn't bad, by no means is it even close to that. But they, in a very true to self manner, made the same game all over again 😂😂😂
I hate gathering, crafting, cooking and pointless fetch quests in games, tried TOTK and didn’t like it, let alone love it. Sold my copy already. But i can understand a lot of people do like all those things in games
@stijnvonck1431 yeah, this game has a TON of padding. I didn't love it either but I do like it.
i thought the sage abilities in TOTK were pretty good.
This was so damn relatable and hilarious everything was so true (especially the companions part)
Im dying to that ending 😂😂
“Say Sav’orq to your favorite Korok…” 😂😂
So did Zelda cause the apocalypse or did they just get really unlucky about when the seal over Ganondorf wore off? Because it didn't seem Link or Zelda did anything.
It was just unlucky timing. He was about to wake up regardless if they were there or not.
I blame the Hyrule royal family for banning Sheikah technology and allowing themselves to become so ignorant of their one responsibility that they failed to do their one job: maintain the seal on Ganondorf.
That underground mural was intended to educate future generations about Hyrule's history. Zelda not knowing anything about it tells me the Royal Family was too secretive: they forgot.
@@baltakatei That and the kingdom in general just suck
