- I always loved the aria "Vide Cor meum" ("See my heart") from the "Hannibal" movie score. It was composed by Patrick Cassidy. Unfortunately the original is only 4 minutes long, so I looped it to 9 minutes (and it's gapless) and added the lyrics.
They are hard to understand though without some background information, so in case you're interested check out the Wiki page for that song:

I added movie scenes as well, but that got the 1st upload banned in too many countries, so I uploaded it again without the movie scenes. It's a shame... so many fantastic scenes.
Here's the uncensored version:

There is also a 1h version somewhere on UA-cam, but I found that too long for a song in a playlist. I did not use that one to make my 9 minute version though. I used the original.

Not just a truely amazing composition but in combination with the timing in the Hannibal series an absolute masterpiece.
I can't stop listening to this piece.
I find it soothing playing this in the car while driving to work in the early morning before traffic. In that sweet spot before the morning begins
Tried Katherine Jenkins?
Hannibal is still my favorite movie of the 2000s and this aria is a very large part of the reason why. It set the mood for the entire movie ( particularly the scenes in Florence).
But for me, it has transcended the movie and become something much greater.
It has left a permanent impression on me.😊
Bravissimo Mr. Cassidy!!
And thankyou!
Thank you for your kind words!
I think that this must be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written!
Um dos sonetos mais belos de Dante Alighieri, simplesmente sublime.
This song was played in two different movies: first in "Hannibal" in the Florence part and in the end credits and afterwards in "Kingdom of Heaven" during the leprous King Baldwin IV's funeral.
This makes me cry so much and my hairs on my neck stand up I love this aria so much xx
Sounds like high pollen count.
❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢 me and the angels are crying tears of joy for such beautiful music
I am the same
Picture in ones mind a balmy Spring (October) evening at picturesque Paróquia Santa Rosa de Lima, in Costa Azul, Salvador-Bahia with this Beautiful Aria being played in the grounds welcoming guests to our Wedding. That was our memorable event back in 2008, and every time we hear this being played it once again takes us back to that memorable and joyous occasion. Lifetime memories are made of such as these.
Location and occasion sounds just wonderful.
Or.... picture a grimy street in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, a terraced house with a leaky roof and peeling paint where someone hears Vide Cor Meum without needing to capitalise random words like "aria" and "wedding" as noxious self-love overflows.
@@cacambo589 I’m sorry if that’s your reality man but don’t piss on other people’s parade.
Ascolto spesso, bellissima...
Incredible piece of music.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
thank you patrick
Such a beautiful composition transcends language or understanding it is truly music for the soul.
How do you listen to Swift or Madonna after this?
Now that you know better,...there is no excuse.
Jonathan Swift?

This music speaks volumes for it's self.
Beautiful.
tx so much for adding the lyrics, esp the note about the Florentine dialect.
Quod sumus hoc eretis!Everyday listing this beautiful song🙏🕊🤍
divine.
Yup!
For "special" souls that focus, hear, listen, feel, and love most innocently, yet savagely, with their entire being, to the extreme exclusion of all else.
Oooh! You sound "special".
That actually falls under the heading of obsession, not love.
❤😢 beautiful. Patrick
Absolutely stunning 😍
Gracias Hannibal, también podemos aprender de música mirando el fondo del abismo
Bucket list would be to watch this before I die 52 need see this soon
a real beautifull music as well as all the compositions of this compositor. This is my choice for my death time.

R.I.P King Baldwin, Jerusalem still holds within our souls, until further notice...
Glad to. Bring it out I use it on mixes I basically play the whole thing
One of the most beautiful italian/latin arias written by an irishman for a profoundly violent movie starring one of the greatest Welch actors. I doubt it would be made today. Not woke enough.
Just beautiful
FUCK THE SUB-MORONIC WOKE AFFLICTED INBREDS.
You are absolutely right!!
I believe that you're correct on all counts.
What does not woke enough mean?
If love could sing...
❤😢❤ makes my hart grow
Ein absolutes Meisterstück!!!.....
Classic
Here I defeated your pride but it’s the fear driven, fear driven is the prerequisite for the joy filling. Surthing is used to be born from worn out
❤❤❤❤❤
good job!
Thanks so much!
Yo conocí esta canción por la muerte de Balduino IV de Jerusalén en el reino de los cielos.
Bueno, deberías ver Hannibal también.
Nicely done. P
Thanks for your kind words!

So la bella musica❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Enjoy!
"umilmente pascea" would perhaps better be rendered as "(she) humbly fed"?
È italiano antico. La traduzione corretta sarebbe Lei umilmente giaceva o umilmente riposava.
The Cadets did an absolutely beautiful arrangement of this, which can be found at 7:55 of ua-cam.com/video/jnZdZagaEyk/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
