This is the best song I've personally played in concert band that wasn't based on a movie. It also reminds me of one of my favorite amusement pars off all time, which is Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The reason why isn't just because of how they have a ride called Apollo's Chariot, but because that park is entirely themed to myth and legend.
Glad to have played the Timpani for this at my high school concert. Love the song. Timpani Solo is just boom. But at 3:38, this just gives a different feeling and I loved it.

As a bassoon player, hitting the solo in the start of the song feels nice
Played this a while ago for a state band (trombone). One of my favorites! Thanks for sharing the beautiful performance.

Loved playing this when I was in high school (flute)
This still hits hard aaaaaa
This song should be used for a movie.
I’m playing this for band how on earth do the flutes do the d a d over and over again…
My band director just made 4 flutes play that part 😭 it’s so difficult
I am playing this, and I cannot do that part right.
It's called suffering 😭😭😭
Mallet percussion with d a d 😎
I don't even know myself i just kinda prayed I was doing it right lol
Im playing percussion for it at the moment, it's so fun
Love this song so much as a flute player. But I hate measure 55 with a passion
A really fun piece, even for the saxophones
