- I'm trying Nigerian food for the first time. I've had incredibe Jollof Rice but they say that Nigerians do it best. I'll also be trying egusi, fufu, and a lot more! I'm visiting some Nigerian spots here in the USA to try the best that Nigeria has to offer here in the USA.

For those who think that "jollof rice" is the main Nigerian dish, sorry that is just entry level stuff. What this woman has done today gives you an idea of proper traditional Nigerian food - from just one region of the country. And, ah, egusi stew is my favourite meal ever!
Ah I love efo riro❤ I never tried it with collard greens before. I think I’m gonna make some for dinner😋
Mine is abula then ogbona with swallow
And if you go up North you will come across a lot more🥰
Nigeria has the most DIVERSE food in the world and it’s expected with over 370 tribes, so you can imagine the different and unique cuisines. Our food is on another level and she barely touched it ❤❤❤🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
525 tribe. Google it
This women is very lovely. You can see her positive energy....they way she is explaining. Very nice to see
I'm not Nigerian but I would love to meet that lady, she seems so warm and genuine.
That's Nigerians for you
Yes, i love her personality
I really enjoyed this episode and loved Janet's personality... She seems like such a mama bear!❤
Oh she is amazing!!! ❤
Palm oil, especially palm oil and dried fish used as a base in cooking, takes a dish to a totally different level of flavour.
That's why Nigerian and West African dishes in general, taste so good.
And palm oil's got many health benefits contrary to the myth.
Ghana and Nigeria cook with the same ingredients. The difference is in preparation and how they're combined.
Yes the Nigerian meals takes longer 😂
Absolutely right
I love her outfit and her personality of presenting her food. I love the music at the end. 👌👌👌👌👌
Dear Person That's Reading This You May Be Goin Through Something But God Got U He Didn’t Bring You This Far To Quit.We Don’t Know Each Other But I Wish U All The Best In Life 2023 And Beyond.🇧🇸❤️

Hi David, you will need to visit a Calabar kitchen and give us feedback. Calabar is in the southern Nigeria and use a lot of vegetables in their cooking. We would like to see how your taste buds feel with their Afang soup, edikaikong soup, or fisherman soup of Rivers state
Love my Country Nigeria 🇳🇬 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬Food , original and most unique organic food products, that makes it very efficient and excellent meals for all different types of people even for different cultures in Nigeria 🇳🇬, Most States or ethics you found yourself, our food still same/ taste and edible for consumption. Love the way you connect your handsome self with the African people God bless 💪💪💪
David great to see you trying Nigeria dishes hope you visit Nigeria and truly appreciate the diverse culinary experience
Nigerian food...can't stop loving them, together with other african foods, they are so sweet and delicious
Add water into the frying yam as you fry it, it will cook inside and fry it outside, without water it will be too dry
Would love to see when you finally visit Nigeria!
great food video
Thank you 😋
Lovely. thanks for sharing our food
Always! I am going to visit Nigeria soon too. I've been exploring the culture and food in some recent videos too. I really appreciate it David.

Lovely video I always wanted to try African food. I will definitely some day. It looks delicious 😋. Sending love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
You should! 🤭
This is soo brilliant to see! Glad you enjoyed Nigerian food .Could I suggest trying northern Nigerian food as well as the flavours are different, distinct and have hardly any palm oil in them.
Finally somewhere I can visit. Thanks David
Africa to the world.
Nice to watch other cultures that eat with their hands. Love from India.
Hey David. Good morning and happy Friday. Nigerian food yes. Was also on this live. One thing I like with you is your transparency. If it’s delish; you’ll say so. If you don’t care for it; you’ll say so. Not everything is going to be pleasurable to the palate. Your honesty is appreciated. Yes David. It’s the sauce for me with the apps. Great watching her cook and you eating the food. I eat my Egusi and fufu with a spoon 😂. Can’t with the hand. Thanks for sharing. Like the music towards the end. See you next video.
Yes I agree ..David is real ...honest ..that is why a lot of us view his works ...have a safe and blessed day.
@@SigmaHailey aww. Thanks so much. Blessed day to you and yours as well 🤗

Dave, black spicy pepper in Ghana is not done with palm oil but vegetable oil
Hmmm, delicious! Mouth watering ❤❤❤
I enjoyed this so much. Thanks again David for another great video.❤
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤❤❤❤
I love that lady so much. This was such a treat to watch 🎉
Like always awsome video bro❤
Kudos to everyone, especially the cook. Her personality already tells me the food will be very delicious. And David, you're the first white man I've seen who eats these dishes the proper way, in that swallows (morsels like fufu, semo, amala & pounded yam, etc) are not meant to be chewed but swallowed. It is okay to chew the soups and meats, etc, that are chewable, but the swallows are meant to be swallowed.
I give you 101/100 ❤
Hi David ...was on yhe live for this ...the lady's clothes is really beautiful and also her personality...and not to mention her foods look so natural/healthy .....quite similar to some of our creole foods in the Caribbean,,,as there are a lot of descendants of West Africans here...Beautiful video ...Thanks and stay safe on all your travels...Blessings and Peace.
She is so amazing! ❤❤❤
@@Davidsbeenhere Yes ..I know...for sure..
Yes yes I said the same thing. She makes you want to eat eat
True Shabana. Many of west African descendants and especially the Yoruba people are more in the Caribbean and still stick to Yoruba culture after many centuries they were taken during the infamous slave trade era. In Brazil, Cuba, Argentina, Etc. Most of them still cook with same styles with little different even after centuries.
Yoruba food yum ❤
Love this woman's personality😊
Keep the flag flying❤
I enjoyed every bit of this video. Funny and entertaining. When will you come back to Lagos. OluwaDavid 😂
I really enjoyed this video Babatunde... 🙌🏽

Great restaurant, great owner, great food. Her food is really flavorful, with unique flavors I'd never tasted before in other cuisines. Try pepper soup!

I enjoyed watching this. I'm glad that you enjoyed eating our food
Yes David trying the best!!! NIGERIAN FOOD :)
i love her personality. i aint never seen anyone add mushrooms to their food but all her stuff looks good and fresh. she was cooking fast like a pro. lmao at baba tunde.please chew your food oo. how else will it digest and you enjoy the flavor. people take the swallowing thing to far
I just want to go home right now. I love hot, super spicy.
Wow another deliciosness episode❤
Awesome
Well, good morning Baba Tunde/David. I watched the 'live' video chat and I am so happy to see the end product. This was so enjoyable and I love Janet. She is very entertaining and so accommodating. All of her food look delicious especially with those combinations of interesting ingredients. We use okra in Trinidad callalloo: that's what makes it slimy. Callalloo and fufu (pounded plantain) in a Sunday meal are a delicious combination, along with stewed chicken, red beans, macaroni pie and salad😋. Delish. Nathan, I hope you enjoyed the food too. On a different note, David, maybe you are a reincarnation with African heritage!!!🤔. It is said that through reincarnation, some spirits come back through newborns, something you wouldn't find in DNA. The Lord works in mysterious ways. So just enjoy what life has to offer you. You are truly blessed. Have a good day and a great weekend. Love to you and your family. Blessings always.🙏🤗❤️🇹🇹🇨🇦
Hi Judy ..Good Morning...these foods remind me of some of our creole foods herein the Caribbean ..as many people in the Caribbean are descendants of West Africans..Any way have a blessed and safe day.
@@SigmaHailey good morning Shabana and Hailey. True. All of our food has the influence of India and Africa which I find to be the tastiest anywhere in the world. Just my opinion and bias. Have a blessed day and weekend.
@@JudyT868 Well ....I think the same too Judy blessed day too.
@@SigmaHailey 👍❤️

Yummy...the egusi soup...delicious
Food looks so mouth watery
Where is the water?😂
@@arubuolaebenezer9986 you don’t understand English?😂
23:57 I swear my first thought watching him dipping the poundo in soups was he's doing it like Indians do with their dishes.
Great video!
From Nigeria 🇳🇬
Wow watched this video on Facebook many months ago but never watched you eating the meal wow you did great with the food.😂Did she tell you ,you are eating just a very small fraction of Nigerian foods ?You are only eating the major Nigerian swallows from the Western part of Nigeria.😅❤❤❤❤🎉 Congratulations Bro you did great. They nicknamed you after a close relative of mine.lol😂 You're welcome.
He’s going to be strong. There’s so much natural cabs in Nigeria swallow
David Babatunde……cool….✌🏿
I like the part where is says when she use her hand to put the seasoning her brain tell her when to stop 😂😂 so true
Boy I love me som egusi & pounded yam but no one tells you that drinking water or juice after a plate will have you sleep
Would like to try this food but can't go there
Where's the meat broth? I didn't see any poured into the soups.
The dishes look so good, though.
Thank you brother, that’s all I can say.
"Normally I use my hands to measure seasonings cos it tell me when its enough " that right there means she is the real deal
Bro when you uploading the Grenada videos
Next series! SOON!
Nice meal
My mouth is watery nw hmmm😍😋❤
