  • The popular snack cum breakfast recipe PATRODE can be prepared using cabbage when colocasia leaves are not available. Cabbage pathrode also tastes as delicious as the original. The spices and ingredients are so very healthy and digestive. Check this healthy traditional food.

    Ingredients:
    Cabbage - Half of medium sized
    Raw rice - 1 cup
    Grated coconut- 3/4 cup
    Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
    Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
    Red chillies - 3 nos.
    White lentils (urad dal) - 1.5 tsp
    Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Tamarind - Lemon sized
    Jaggery - 2 tbsp
    Salt - 1 to 1.25 tsp (as per taste)
    Serves 3 people

      You can have it for breakfast or as snack too. It needs no side dish as all spices are included.
