    • @tonynguyen1078
      @tonynguyen1078 Рік тому +3

      I think in leagues below college level the strike zones vary depending on pitch location and location of batter in the box. You will see alot of pitches 1 or 2 balls off the plate called a strike because they are kids and this is the leagues way of limiting the amount of pitches thrown throughout a game. Just another way to reduce the risk of kids throwing out their arm before the next stage in their career.

      Stupid ass take^^^ umpires sit over the shoulder of the catcher in regards to the hitter in the box. If it’s a lefty he stays behind them. You normally don’t tend to foul balls back off your back shoulder. Normally foul them off the other way Argo the safest place for an umpire to set up

    • @sjp35productions6
      @sjp35productions6 Рік тому

      I’ll say the zone was pretty wide, even for a high school game. However, an umpire never sets up on the center of the plate. It’s a good way to catch a lot of foul balls to the mask resulting in multiple concussions. Always set up with your nose on the inside corner of the plate and learn how to judge the outside pitch.

    Wow! As a scout and coach I would have been on the road home after the 3rd. How many coaches does each team have? Do they even teach the game? Batters that can’t hit 69mph curves, catchers that can’t block, infielders who can’t field…..My favorites were the guys flipping the bird, the guy who hit a double and grabbed his crotch. But the best was at the end of the game when the player faced the stands an did his body builder poise. Guys in high school need to learn the basics and understand you never know who is watching. Rivalry? What was it 9-8 and how many errors? Pretty sad rivalry. If I was whites coach and did that crap, I would forfeit the next game just to teach the lesson of being humble. Classless!

    #2 for Alpheretta needs to be ejected and suspended for a few games. #4 and #7 are not far behind him. Sadly, incidents like this lead to players handling discipline themselves (bean balls) in the game of baseball, if not handled by umpires or coaches. Umpires between the next meetings of these two teams hopefully know the history and are situationally aware.

Nothing wrong with D2/D3, but having respect for the game alongside special talent goes a long way. It’s fine getting fired up, it shows you’re passionate.
