Love this truck. I'm still waiting to see if you put some braces across the inside of the roof. The first heavy snow you get will cave in your roof if you don't weld in some braces across. Keep up the great work.
I have a 1973 international travel all 3/4 ton 4x4 it’s kinda olive green color. When my boys where young we used it for camping fishing and playing in the snow. The kids said it looks like an army truck and named it the General. The boys are all grown up and we still love the General. Be a good name for your rig too!
I see you fabricating new mounts for those tailights! It's just a feeling I have, with your skills it would only take about an hour to remake that mount bracket just like new! And you'd still have it the way you wanted it! Besides its only six rivets between the two lights and a little bending of some thin plate and wallah new old stock😀👍
You know what they say..."A win is a win, is a win" I have no doubt you will find something cool to fix the tail lights. Must be nice, having such a great great stock pile of parts, just outside your door. Thanks for the video
Quote of this episode: "I'm not doing what you think I'm doing." I've come to realize Brent that I never know what your next move is or what's cooking inside that fertile mind of yours. I just know it works and It's a wild ride! Thanks!
I just want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thank you for helping us get through 2020. We appreciate you out here !
It's a Cornbinder..... Call it "The Kernel"! Another great update. I absolutely love having this as a part of my day. Definitely keeps a person motivated.
Hey Brent, Just so you know, Harley Davidson passing/flood lights use 4" bulbs, and look very similar to your tail lights, in case you have access to a set. And you can pickup a set fairly cheaply and they're strong. Later
I about "ODed" when got to watch the dog run and play heading for the shop where the toes stay warm... he hopes that not to many trips to the parts store out back/LOL, I like animals, just a weakness I guess. No nights a fail Brent on my end when I get to be a part of something bigger than me. Your doing what I am wishing to do Brent
the solution of the LED lights inside the vintage tail lights is beautiful! pity one broke .... it happens even to the best😉👍, but I'm sure you'll find a solution! I can't wait to see the next video to see what you come up with🤔
it is said that Christmas comes but once a year, evidently your site was not known then because everyday is Christmas now with your daily videos. the Beast with 4 doors is really coming along nicely. Merry Christmas and thank you
Truck and tractor work lights. Right diameter, and they generally come with a halogen bulb and clear lens. You could probably remove the lens they come with from the reflector, and substitute your glass lens. They come with a rubber surround, which seals the lens/reflector. We used to replace the turn signal bulbs and reflector on older buses with a sealed beam unit, which was a perfect fit on GM 4104 buses. I think the bulbs were a number 4416R or A. Used these same bulbs in light bars on police cars. I'll have to look up the bulbs and see what the real number is... Harbor freight has the lights on line or on shelf, listed as work lights.
Hello Man. I like to hear you laugh ! It doesnt look like me working in my garage, cursing everytime something goes wrong ! Great job, great mind, you are a good one, man. Thanks fort sharing
School bus flashing lights make great tail-lights/turn signal combos, and they're hooded over the top which might match styles with the International's hooded front fender turn signals you have already. (and proportionally a good size for a truck as large as this). Some of the old school bus tail lights even had "STOP" stencilled in them. Thing of it is, it takes up a bit of space so you might have to extend the brows to graft them into the rear fenders, or just install them into a bumper or roll pan situation. The "General" seems a little white-collar ... maybe "Sarge?" (I've got a little bias, my old man retired Master Sgt back in 1980 after 27 years in)
The General is looking good I bet someone has a taillight that matches the broken one if you would just ask. No matter what that truck is looking good. I like driving with my hand resting on shifter ,looks like it is just right. with the right look. Keep warm and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Shifter is great. Tig the bracket back together for the tail light. You're good at it. Add some sorta padding inside that doesn't hold water but will keep it from rattling.
Progressing right along, looks great! You should call your truck The Crew Cab Cornbinder! (Since that's what IHs used to be called) I suggest painting it IH (farmall tractor) red, with black fenders and running boards.
Smart move going with electric wipers. I had vacuum on my Willys Jeep. When you pulled a hill, the level dropped so low that the wipers stopped. I did add a larger volume can but the still slowed down. Glad to moved on.
Nice and easy, tail lights support can be built! Just a humble suggestion if there is place for it, considering the size of the truck a set of yellow indicator on the top, red break lights in the middle and down a normal tail light, all circle like land rover model, 🚦 (emoji illustration) collors are different of course but the model with a black bed with the lights inside! Sorry if I don't know how to explain!
In case you would like to know... that piece that you welded the shifter to was designed to be pulled off whenever the transmission was removed and installed (there is a special tool) Thanks for sharing another great video with us.👍🤟
@@HalfassKustoms Well I ended up making one, because my brother got a second gen. Truck then I got a first gen. That had an nv4500 put in it. Then my brother swapped out the automatic for an nv4500. Plus we had a neighbor (and his family) that had several dodges. Works real good, then there is a short square nub about 21/2” left on the top of the transmission. Just want to say that the project is looking good. Oh and yeah that shifter rod is some hard stuff not sure exactly what but...hard.😬
It would look cool if you got some silcon bronze welding wire and weld stitches were ever you welding a panel or patch. Then clean it up and scuff it, put a semi gloss or matt clear on it and call it Frankenstein's monster. Love the build and the daily updates.
You are talented enough to make a mounting bracket for th cool lights that you have. Also wrap a wet rag around parts that you need to protect from heat.
I hate these short videos! LOL! I look forward to seeing your videos, so the longer the better! This is so interesting to me! I learn so much watching you work! Ok, my brother! Keep 'em coming! Short, long, in between, I'll take anything at this point! Lol! Tony.
Here's a Tip, always remember to flip whatever your welding on a flat horizontal plane if possible that way you get better penetration much stronger weld, especially when welding up a bucket that may require it to take a pounding.
The secret to rain X is that it needs to be buffed out real good, I apply one coat buff it out then add a second coat and really buff it out then it works great 👍
Like the guys have said, make new mounts for both your lights, that casting looks a bit fragile anyway, or miby use a couple of off the shelf spotlights, I used a couple of Wipac spots converted to dipping headlights on a bike build, cheers 👍
I was really hoping that you might decide to put the headlight buckets back on the rear fenders and use them for brake light housings. Then use the small turn signal lights for reverse lights. But if not you might try a local truck stop for lights and such.
I wouldn‘t say the Tail Light is gone - you might fix the Bracket with Tig Brazing or Oxy/Acetylene Brazing! 😉 Keep going and happy Holidays from northern Germany! 😃🤙🏻
hey just wanted to say i like your videos .., what i would do is cut the rivets on the back of the light and make a new mount out of sheet metal and rivet it back on .they do look really nice on there ..
A man and his dog traveling the yard, pablo n shifty, straightening out the evening shifter, wipering out a stop light. A man and his dog taking us along for a great ride. Brigadier General?
Get the good bracket of as a pattern ,casting sand, talcum powder, graphite powder, 2 open end box's,half inch pipe, spru cup,tea spoon,200 Aluminium Beer can's,old frying pan,oxy torch there you go.Would make a great vid.
YOUR DOG IS REALLY HAPPY OUT THERE.
"Mend and make do". I'm 70 years old and i can still here my old mad saying that, Stuck with me all my life.I have got faith in you Bud.
I do enjoy all the videos ...makes me feel like I'm there doing with you !! Keep it up!!!!
Following along to the end on this one man... such a cool looking truck!
I dig the goofing around. LoL. Currently shopping for land so I can have all my junk in one spot and start building stuff
Love this truck. I'm still waiting to see if you put some braces across the inside of the roof. The first heavy snow you get will cave in your roof if you don't weld in some braces across. Keep up the great work.
Nah man that roof will be fine theres a lot of strength in the dome of a roof
Can’t wait for this build, let alone the square body crewcab I’ll be glued and waiting for the progress.
Thanks for sharing

Good evening Brent love the Daily up dates! God bless!
You know its old when its glass. Looking good with the shifter.
Use the one as a 3rd brake light..
Never disappoints - most enjoyable - each and every video. Great sense of humor. I am laughing along with him.
You know what they say..."A win is a win, is a win" I have no doubt you will find something cool to fix the tail lights. Must be nice, having such a great great stock pile of parts, just outside your door. Thanks for the video
Have a good evening Brent, cool progress, you'll get this!
The lens and rings on the tail lights are a must save, I trust you'll figure it out. Love the fabrication skills.

Pretty cool watching that shifter knob moving around while you were heating the shaft...... The Badass Binder will be ready for a test drive soon!
I just want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thank you for helping us get through 2020. We appreciate you out here !
It's a Cornbinder..... Call it "The Kernel"! Another great update. I absolutely love having this as a part of my day. Definitely keeps a person motivated.
hahah I like that pun
Tail lights look good. I think you should fix the one and use them. Your Ideas are usually better than mine so I'm sure it will work out well.
Hey Brent, Just so you know, Harley Davidson passing/flood lights use 4" bulbs, and look very similar to your tail lights, in case you have access to a set. And you can pickup a set fairly cheaply and they're strong. Later
Eternal optimist we got a shifter at least. Got to go catch up on all your earlier projects.

Loving all the videos, keep 'em coming. Thanks 👍
Thank you for being the only channel that does daily uploads instead of weekly like so many others do.

Another thumbs up------------I enjoy your vids.

The bak lights are cool.
Make a new bracket for the broken one. I think you fixes that..👍😊💯
Awesome. The tail lights would be cool.
I think I would figure somehow to weld that or something, those would be cool on there.
For your wipers 1971 to 76 VW BUG looks dam close looking good 🍺👍
Can't win them all Brent! Better luck tomorrow. Lookin' good!

Great idea with leds inside old lenses. Lower power draw with brighter light.
that shifter stub pulls right straight up and off , had mine off a few times to do the clutch. it is just a friction fit.
In case you would like to know... that piece that you welded the shifter to was designed to be pulled off whenever the transmission was removed and installed (there is a special tool) Thanks for sharing another great video with us.👍🤟
now I know but I still don't have the tool haha

Hazards of using old junk. Old junk is breaky. But then again, new junk is pretty breaky too. 👍👍😊

15:15 onward..... thats so what i would have done. Good work my man, best wishes and stay safe from the uk ☺
Haha everytime
Yeah that truck is it fits it the general that is an awesome name for that truck that is a beast awesome videos
The General is a cool name making good progress on it your boy will have a nice project there.
Discovery channel should pick you up cool builds and great personality! Imagine having a camera man!
Not bad for a old geezer.!!! love your page, love that truck...
That crew cab chevy looks great with a short box on it BTW.
Love everything you do brother !! love the videos, keep them coming thank you ..😁👍
Love the daily videos Brent. Hope you can keep it up but I'm sure its a PIA. Truck is looking killer. Can't wait to see the square body too
You are talented enough to make a mounting bracket for th cool lights that you have. Also wrap a wet rag around parts that you need to protect from heat.
Yep, the ole spray bottle of water I never leave home without it!
When snow crunches like that it is RFC !!!
nice touch shutting off the lights at end of day
Give us a shop tour. Like to see the rest of the shop and how its set up.
Love the daily videos! Good or bad, I love this project
The general sounds like a good name for it. It's big and in charge!
One person suggested, since it's a cornbinder - The Kernel...not bad.
That's a bummer about the brake light housing. I really liked the look with the glass lenses.
I hate these short videos! LOL! I look forward to seeing your videos, so the longer the better! This is so interesting to me! I learn so much watching you work! Ok, my brother! Keep 'em coming! Short, long, in between, I'll take anything at this point! Lol! Tony.
Not to worry, you will find something that will work great !
Here's a Tip, always remember to flip whatever your welding on a flat horizontal plane if possible that way you get better penetration much stronger weld, especially when welding up a bucket that may require it to take a pounding.
Look forward to seeing your videos
The secret to rain X is that it needs to be buffed out real good, I apply one coat buff it out then add a second coat and really buff it out then it works great 👍
Coming along gonna be a sweet ride
Truck is looking and coming along great 👍 👌 🙌 👏 😀
Damn I got a cool set of 1970 tow truck marker lights nos that would look cool 😎
I've got some 60's military tail lights off of... something? Who knows but I think I am gonna save those for a 54 chev 4x4 gin pole rig.
I think a wiper motor from back glass of a blazer will work. I used one on my 55 Chevy pickup. If recollect correctly it has that action needed.
Like the guys have said, make new mounts for both your lights, that casting looks a bit fragile anyway, or miby use a couple of off the shelf spotlights, I used a couple of Wipac spots converted to dipping headlights on a bike build, cheers 👍
S10 blazer rear wiper motor woks great for conversions👍🏻
The General is looking good. Too bad that bracket broke. Maybe you can make a new one cause those old lights look good on there.
Merry Christmas to You ! Waiting to The International on the road /regards from Norway , love your videos
Love the daily uploads.
bummer on the lights but at least it was a small amount of time invested. shifter looks right on.
Brent check out lights on semi sleepers. Western Star lights are that size.
Cool, old meets new on the light mods!
Brent, I advocate swigging down an 18 pack of Coors tonight, sleep late in the morning, then tackle the taillights 🤣😂
Shifter looks good, bummer about the tail lights.
Bet the dogs were sad to see those benches go. Shifter turned out good. Sucks the taillight broke.
Tig welding - tungsten inert gas welding but your explanation was better for the layman !
I like it when things are dumb down for me that way if I'm still interested I'll ask questions lol
hey just wanted to say i like your videos .., what i would do is cut the rivets on the back of the light and make a new mount out of sheet metal and rivet it back on .they do look really nice on there ..
Still awesome brent still loving it mate👍🇦🇺
Great video’s keep them coming 👍

Good he cleaned the driveway
nice 3+3 crew cab.. those are gold in lower 48.. expensive.. can't wait for 12v swap.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year from Holland!
The General. Perfect name
Getting through the last fiddly bits and pieces now, won't be too much longer tho I'm sure, I'm immensely enjoying this build.
And. You welded the bucket for your brother. 👍
Get the good bracket of as a pattern ,casting sand, talcum powder, graphite powder, 2 open end box's,half inch pipe, spru cup,tea spoon,200 Aluminium Beer can's,old frying pan,oxy torch there you go.Would make a great vid.
Lol, “ I thought that felt right “ I do that all the time at least you lucked out that it might be too long....too short......bad news
Just braise the light back together. It will work on pot metal
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
What? No JB Quick Weld? The shifter looks good though Brent. I'm enjoying the daily updates.
