I played low stakes Holdem at The Lodge for a month recently.
Between the small & big blind forced bets, the membership fees and the $11 per hour "pay to play" fee: if you're card dead and/or whiffing the flop & turn when you do enter pots with playable cards? It's a no-brainer for me.
Lost a good chunk of my bankroll and ran screaming back to So Cal & Las Vegas. Where I am, and always have been, a competent, profitable (recreational) low stakes poker player.
Bottom Line guys and gals: From my limited 30 day experience, Austin's $1-$3 games are untenable. Can't imagine any other Texas poker rooms operate any differently than this one.

The "check behind then raise when you bet" is pure angle, and somebody needs to have a talk with Mo. And/or change the Lodge rule book. @Brad, I wish you'd say a little bit more about this, because you're such an influencer in the space. People need to know that behavior is not okay, even if it's technically within the rules. Which it may or may not be - I don't know Lodge policy.

Do you think you would’ve won the pot with the A10 spades if you C-bet instead of check called. Obviously not taking it down against Mo on the flop or maybe even 44 but maybe on the turn you take it down or win at showdown against Mo ?

Holy shit what a queen to spike on the river. Still, you had 13 outs and 1790 so its not really a punt and if your opponent is bluffing even a small amount it is probably a call you have to make

Yeah the 1245 and 545 were flipped. Should have been 545 after flop and 1245 after turn.

At 6:00, isn’t it normally a rule that if you check out of turn, you can then only call a bet before you? I feel like I’ve seen that enough times before and always had that outcome lol. Being able raise after checking out of turn seems like an an angle.

Someone help me please.... at 2:35 , didn't Brad's opponent win both hands? A better full house on one, and a heart flush with his 2 of hearts on the other? Or do I not understand how this works? Help?

call me results oriented but KQ hand seems pretty horrific, if you're calling flop because there's a chance he's drawing then draws get there on the turn....

Mo checking out of turn, then raising, seems dirty. I don't watch a lot of live play, can someone tell me if this is common?

Didn’t you win that one with 2 pairs 5’s and 2’s with ace kicker? Because the pocket 4’s are a smaller pair than the 5’s?
