Waiting for the Moment: Street Photography

In terms of video, it may be subtle, but this is the reality of a street photographer. When you encounter a good situation, try experimenting with a patient approach, waiting and capturing the moment.

Recently the thought occurred to me (while working on a photo video and looking for a subtitle): "Time Doesn't Run Or Wait. But We Are Always Running Or Waiting."
I was reminded of this while watching your video. In case we are able to decide when it is better to wait and when it is better to run, we will appreciate the benefits of waiting or even running depending on our priorities. And time sometimes rewards us when we wait. So you made the decision to wait - more or less patiently ;-) - and you were rewarded. Even if it's only one photo, it was a success and a gift as a reward for the wait.
I don't know if my words (in English) are as understandable as I would like. There is more of a philosophical idea behind it with a poetic approach or vice versa.
Thank you for your pleasantly humorous description of how important it is to maintain patience and at the same time tame impatience when passionately pursuing an artistic activity. In my opinion, a skill that is particularly important in the street photography genre.

In street photography, waiting is one of the established techniques. As you mentioned, it is important to choose whether to wait or run according to priorities. I can wait because I know waiting is more efficient. Thank you Monika.

撮影場所やコンセプトが決まっている場合、私は三脚とセルフタイマーを持参して自分をモデルにして撮ります。何度も撮り直しができる、時間短縮、肖像権クリア、がメリットです。
