- Play along with Miyo Aoki on "een mentaliteit" by Jamie Allen, the ARS's 2024 special commissioned Play-the-Recorder Month piece! Allen composed the work in the double anniversary year of 2024 as a tribute to Frans Brüggen (1934-2014); the title refers to a frequent saying from Brüggen, "recorder playing is a state of mind." The American Recorder Society celebrates Play-the-Recorder Month every March, with a special online event this year on March 16. More information is at americanrecorder.org.
