    Does the Garmin Fenix 6 auto calculates VO2 max all the time? Or is it just during activities?

    I recently found out that I have a very high VO2 Max.
    I also have the Sprinter Gene. Since I was a kid, I've been able to run very fast and hard for a while. I've chased down cars (needed to catch up to get my things) for blocks and blocks. I don't know about running a marathon, but I can sprint all out with the best of em. Genes are weird; like a lottery nobody signs up for.

      @@nathanplant9893 you can be an excellent high intensity athlete and have a high vo2 max. Its not mutually exclusive lol.

    according to my Garmin watch, my vo2 max is 50, I cycle once a week, i am 46. :)

    I'm 15 and my Garmin says that my VO2 max is 68, I don't know how but...

      Mine is 60 and I do a 5k in 17.xx minutes, so yours is definitely not correct. Run a few times at a decent pace and the estimate will correct itself.

      vozzen Tbf I am built more like a sprinter in the sense I have a fair bit of muscle so maybe that’s why
