That was a good interview. The brother felt remorseful for his actions but unfortunately its too late. however, this will help the next man avoid that fate.
This is just a glimmer of hope for mr Weed a homie of mine from the inside Raymond Gallant got his parole 3yrs ago for a life sentence for murder it only took him 31yrs to get it but he did he will be discharged from parole this year. So hang in there mr Weed, walk your time down and don’t give up,your still breathing and as long as you are you can live your best life while you’re locked up
"Change what's cool" they right. Because the "squares" in HS are now the ones with a house they bought and the newest car. After 10 years of bullshiy , prison rehab and dying. I've lived being a square for the past 2 years.. nobody will ever take my freedom again.
That's always been the case it's not new. There is something inherent in humanity to be the biggest dog in the yard, even though history shows that spot rarely works out well. It's why women always like "bad guys" it has to do with age and emotional development as it pertains to an individual culture.
Big Herc made a good point towards the end. I'm 33 and I am shocked that I never ended up in prison or got killed when I was in my teens and early 20s. Now I'm married with 3 kids, and have been in my career for almost 7 years. I look back at my past with disgust.
This is soo deep. Good on Big Herc. He's doing way more than me, and that hurts. Thank you bro! Thank you to the young man for doing this. I can't explain my feelings enough! ❤
Congrats big Herc!! Awesome work you've been doing since the beginning! I see your channels since you started! I feel that this episode is realy a step ahead on fresh out! Keep up the good work! Wishing the best for Lawrence! Greetings from Portugal!
Great interview big herc I’m from Chicago I remember it like yesterday he talking about Calvin had them McDonald’s commercial he lived in the hood an supplied the neighborhood an come outside they shouting dice an he had his hat flip backwards to the right on his way to work an shoot dice with them then then lost track of time an ran down the street to work an work the register an turn his hat to the front an said welcome to McDonald’s can I help you dope commercial
I live here in Boise, ID. Wish I would of know you were in town. Congratulations on getting this interview done. My cousin just got out yesterday. He did 13 years. It was unbelievable to see him out and free again. I’m happy and blessed to be able to see that. You should interview him. He has made a lot of positive changes and is a good role model to our youth. I think they hear it for themselves. If your interested Herc. I’ll get you guys in contact.
Great interview 45 to life... Damn, so much game and knowledge in this video. I like that the interview was done first hand with someone that crashed out while in prison.
At this point I am tempted to believe some people are hard wired to be bad. Because some of us have been exposed to lots of shit but never took up that life.
31:05 Great story about the guy you saw as a mentor in prison. I think it's notable you remembered the questions he made you think about. He wasn't just giving you advice. He was making you question yourself and the things around you. Good person to have in your ear.
Love the content. Hopefully some constructive feedback, you got to get to the content sooner. Maybe even the best quote or exchange from the video up front. Took 3+min to get to the start of the video, which is an eternity in UA-cam time. Hopefully, you can go viral with the good rehabilitation content!
I did 2 separate 1-year sentences in Boise at Ada County jail. Very laid back. There were gang members but not much politicking going on. I cant imagine getting 45 year sentence. Thats insane.
Mad respect ✊ for trying to help the young but sadly i can’t see them listening.. Just looking at all these young rappers on UA-cam, in front of the camera with their crew all holding firearms & pointing them at the camera & every rap song is full of lyrics about shooting & killing other black men & selling drugs & they all think there Gangsta’s.. It’s gonna get worse as they all think it’s cool.. Anyway but good luck 🤞
Wow, L was only 20 years old when he caught that bid, that's a baby. I wish you could discuss the facts of his case and how it all went down. I presume he still has appeals left, and that wouldn't benefit him. I think it's great to hear these kinds of interviews. My friend's son got arrested for gun possession at the age of 18 recently. When he was 15, he broke into someone's house, a friend of his, and he got caught in the act. Back when he was 15, I met him and his mother for lunch and tried to talk to him. I guess I was too square, and female, so I could tell he wasn't hearing any of it because he couldn't relate to me in that way just how L said he felt when people tried to talk him out of the lifestyle. My friend's son caught a few cases since then, and I don't bother trying to talk to him anymore. I believe you can't turn these kids around unless you have money or something flashy to turn them in a different direction. A talking to is not going to cut it, when they're looking around and people are offering them money, drugs to feed a weed habit, or whatever else. I hate to say it, but for some, the only thing to get them to learn is to do some time. The lucky ones will do a short bid, but people like L are not so lucky. That job at HP was God's way of giving him another option before he couldn't turn back. He let the devil pull him back into that world. Just a sad situation. I think he's in denial about the impact his dad going to prison had on him repeating the same cycle. Great interview Big Herc, you're looking sharp in this one too. Props!
One wake up moment for the youngsters should be when monster kody said ''look whats on my neck eight tray i dont own a damn brick on 83th yet i was willing to give my life for'' Thats that at the end of the day its time wasted lives ruined thrown away etc if you choose to live a life like that
At the age of 18 just graduating out of high school, I went to a D2 private college. For money, I was an OJ … cabbing underground with two way radio and trunk mount radio, a biz dealing with drug dealers, pimps and ex cons. That was phased out with app based cabbing (Uber, etc) but before that I learned to trade stocks live and bought my first franchise in Manhattan at the age of 24. That business is still being phased out because of the internet, and I’m still in it Independt but successful with no overhead. I now work and run my family luxury transportation biz driving the wealthy! Before this I saw a time selling this and that in the HOTTEST SPOTS in The Bronx! and I see it was pointless. Everyone who was in my hustle circle is either dead or in jail. I think maybe one of them (excluding myself) actually used the money to relocate and open a successful business . The grimey shit is not worth it!!! Be a square! It’s a blessing to control how much taxes you want to pay and all of my w-2 forms and my wife w-2 forms are all from our businesses!!! And what’s crazy is that the foundation I established for my family (and myself incase of a divorce) you don’t get taught in school.
I think we need a Federal law that anyone that does 21 years or more can have a parole board. Not saying we release everyone but for people that did crime in the late 80s and are COMPLETELY different people keeping them locked up is a waste of resources. You could make a conservative argument that we're paying to house them instead of them paying taxes ect.

Most of them do
I couldn't imagine getting that amount of time. Just insane how people adapt to situation. Strong mentality
Humans.
You adapt because you have no choice.
Literally it's like you're alive but dead
I like the deeper conversations aswell as the more sensational quick videos

🧢
mad respect for coming back to the pen herc, keep changing lives man
The Interviewee has a calm nervousness to him compared to other interviews. You can feel the pressure of being incarcerated. Great video!
"Change what's cool" they right. Because the "squares" in HS are now the ones with a house they bought and the newest car. After 10 years of bullshiy , prison rehab and dying. I've lived being a square for the past 2 years.. nobody will ever take my freedom again.

Don't use the term square coz that's not a good look just say regular life.
Damn he got a lot of time. The fact that he can sit and smile during this interview is incredible
Big respect from Poland Big Herc. You're the voice of the voiceless.
Excellent interview Herc.....I felt this one!
Big Herc made a good point towards the end. I'm 33 and I am shocked that I never ended up in prison or got killed when I was in my teens and early 20s. Now I'm married with 3 kids, and have been in my career for almost 7 years. I look back at my past with disgust.
Hello
“We’ve got to change what’s cool”. That’s literally the only remedy to this sort of situation.
This is soo deep. Good on Big Herc. He's doing way more than me, and that hurts. Thank you bro! Thank you to the young man for doing this. I can't explain my feelings enough! ❤

Because some of us have been exposed to lots of shit but never took up that life.
They call those psychopaths
I'm starting to think that, too.
Good job and glad you talked about the rappers tricking themselves out the game.

Herc the sad thing is that most of the youngsters wont listen and think they have it all figured out....smh
31:05 Great story about the guy you saw as a mentor in prison. I think it's notable you remembered the questions he made you think about. He wasn't just giving you advice. He was making you question yourself and the things around you. Good person to have in your ear.

🙏 Let’s keep up the good content!
I did 2 separate 1-year sentences in Boise at Ada County jail. Very laid back. There were gang members but not much politicking going on. I cant imagine getting 45 year sentence. Thats insane.
26:10 Great example right there. It really is conditioning. It really is a person's mindset that has to change.
Interview starts @4:21 - That also means 4 mins and 20 seconds of ads and intros… come on Herc!
Good shit Herc
Solid video big herc
Havent been here 4 a while... Wheres your big herc muscle shirts man? :-)
This was a professional interview. Not a place for a tank top.
being broke doesnt feel so bad after this
All the “prison” interviews are done with dudes on the outside….
Sad to hear from a dude that isn’t coming out :/
Keep it coming Herc!
yeah, keep them coming..😂😂😂😂
I’m a square , no connections to the streets whatsoever but truly anyone can learn volumes from guys like Herc and L
Mad respect ✊ for trying to help the young but sadly i can’t see them listening.. A lot of them caught up in that life and getting the bag from the record labels.
" i spoke that into existance" its true that perception does become reality for people.
The streets always wins.
What is new intro music, it is dope
It’s a group called the milk duds

Oh my how hardcore - Idaho State Prison 🥔
Fresh out 💪🏿
Maybe that guy's broadcast from lock up still isn't the type of exceptionalism that should be broadcasted for youngsters.
Dope shit Herc!
I was partial to Wig Splitting from a young kid, namely using a large marble in my hand to do it 😂💥
Can you please get Wallo on here
And to think this brother here is going to be eligible for parole in 2049 - at 68 years old
