    passed this place many times. What is obvious is the pride the club takes in re-vegitation compared to the surrounding hills that have been denuded over time. Congratulations. You are an example to your neighbours.

    I love how you say to put in low range and just stay there all day.
    But on the other hand you mention there being tracks suitable for softroaders etc. Most softroaders don’t have low range.
    Even my Land Rover doesn’t have low range but it’s very capable nonetheless but I don’t have huge clearance so would struggle over some of that terrain not due to no low range or an incapable vehicle or 4WD system but due solely to clearance issues. (Yes you could argue it’s incapable Due to low clearance - but if it was lifted it wouldn’t have the issue).

      1. not all tracks are suitable for softroaders
      2. if a vehicle has low range, it is designed to use in rough terrain. If it does not, then it is designed for less challenging terrain and the powertrain will have some tolerance for low-speed work
      Yes, if the Land Rover lacks clearnace...it lacks capability!

    I came for the knowledge but I stayed for the jokes! 😆

    Is this 'Jakem' farm? Did they change the name?
    When I lived in Radelaide my old 4WD club used to come here regularly for a quick day trip. It's an awesome place to drive around for day.

    For someone like me who aspires to not owning a solid axle vehicle with a 3-inch lift and 37-inch tyres. This looks ideal. Now we address the jokes. You should be on the stage. It is easier to throw rotten fruit at people on a stage. Mind you it was better than b grade background music.

    Do folks over on your side of the globe " air down " tires when it comes to rocky terrain? I rarely air down unless I am looking for more floatation on sand / mud / or washboard roads......BUT I feel like every single trail report I read lately starts with a group of people all standing around while they air down their tires to unholy levels

    • @L2SFBC
      @L2SFBC  23 дні тому

      Yes we do air down. And yes that would be a good test, air down/not, and the Park is the perfect place to do it. Overall, airing down works on rocks, but you can take it too far and lower ground clearance. You actually get fewer punctures when aired down - this has been proven time and time again. Sidewalls can get damaged aired up or down.

    Might have missed it, but do they lease the training area for external companies?

      @bradleyfryer5563 Місяць тому +1

      @@L2SFBC That is the same tyre and size I am running on my hilux.
      I have considered going to the less common 275 70 17.
      Do you find the 265 70 works for you overall?

    • @L2SFBC
      @L2SFBC  Місяць тому +1

      @bradleyfryer5563 yes it works well. I don't see any need for my use for a taller wider and heavier tyre. The Everest you see ran 275s and it didn't do any better than my car.
