#1: rubber gloves #2: small sponge roller leaves nice texture #3: ziplock baggies to put wet brushes and rollers in so you don’t have to wash them out until you are completely done with that paint color. Refrigerate them to keep the paint fresh
Your yellow was a way better shade than the glow in the dark looking pukey color we sampled, lol. Can't wait to see the kitchen with the cabinets all painted white.
I would say the audio us great....you asked us to shout if we saw the roller....I shouted and you heard loud and clear and went straight to it!! 👂👂👂😉....lovely colour and I'm so glad you'll be painting the cabinets....get a matching cabinet door for over your fridge...put a shelf to match the width and depth, Angela, you will still have your cupboard space but better 👍😀. Don't worry, I can keep finding jobs to keep the main man out of mischief 🥴😉xxx
“Put the paint where it’s supposed to go & try not to put it where it’s not supposed to go.” 😂 Best method I’ve ever heard (and I’ve heard so many). I just found you guys and I’m already hooked! I love how well you explain things. Makes things so much easier for this newly divorced girl that is redoing her mobile home herself. I’m hoping to find solutions to all the problems I’m currently facing on your channel. 😅
I bought my 1940s grandparents house. The kitchen was 14 x 17. The lower cabinets were American Kitchens...designed by Frank Lowey...same guy who designed the 1950s Studebaker. They were white, white ceiling, off white walls, Wedgwood blue trim...it was beautiful. I added an oak cabinet island, and 2 oak lower cabinets beside the stove, and 2 upper, directly above the others. Mom painted it while I was at work(120 miles away, I came home on weekends)
I absolutely love the color. White cabinets would look good but white wash would look better with the paint color. Btw, the picture and sound is awesome! Thanks for sharing, God bless!
The colour is fresh and bright . In the UK we call the painting you start off with as "cutting in" allowing you to not make a mess when using your roller to finish the bigger parts of the walls.
The wife and I painted our old house with yellow walls and white cabinets and it look good. I'm trying to get her to let me do the same thing in double wide. It has spices on the wall. Oh you guys are doing great.
I LOVE a yellow kitchen! Good choice. My kitchen in yellow, the cabinets are white and I have pops of a country French blue. I think you guys are doing a great job!
Ooo sounds gorgeous! I adore french provincial style and ive lived in houses with that limencello soft yellow colour. Gotta say while i have loved it in others houses i prefer a more all white look with black cast iron for the metal and a medium milk chocolatey sort of brown wood for the table tops bench tops etc. That way i can change out colours easily to suit my mood or season and it wont clash with anything and also i find it compliments greenery really well i live lots of plants in the home and flower boxes at windowsills so seeing the pop of colour from various flowers makes me super happy as a green thumb gardener and i love having all my home grown produce fairly accessible and open so having the colour come from the fruit and veg is my fav. I will say older style homes definitely suit more colour and style than modern ones. Like the half wood walls and half paint or having a bright warm rug on the floor.
I love that Butter Cream color!!!! The cabinets are fine, but painting them white will really set the whole kitchen off :) Don't forget the pantry/laundry room!!! Looking great you two!
I love your kitchen I just painted my kitchen the exact same color Last winter. At first I thought oh wow this is too bright but it's not, after I got everything done with the cabinets white and the new curtains and decorations on the walls it's very homie. Now I'm really enjoying it. 👍😊
Yeah ,I learned along time ago that "primer" is your best friend! Also even though its a pain ,if you sand the coats of paint between coats your paint job will look amazing! Just throwing it out there...
Love the background music! Reminds me of the Dick Van Dyke show, ha! Also, don't know if the camera view is accurate but I love a butter colored yellow.
Since we're painting the cabinets after the walls we didn't need to tape them off. We will tape the walls when we paint the cabinets though - to keep the walls finished.
One word primer, first coat of primer would have covered and kept the bleed-through from happening. That really does look great. You pick the perfect color
Looks like a soft yellow. Love that color. My craftroom is that color with white trim. Love it. 65 degrees tomorrow..may paint a bit some(need to finish painting some kitchen spots. Light gray)
Those “apples & baskets” have a protective coating to help keep grease from being absorbed into the drywall. We had similar covering in both bathrooms and our kitchen. You really need a coat of primer so the paint will adhere and nor peel (been there, and learned a hard lesson on one of our walls). We also found that by adding some drywall mud to our paint, it helped hide minor imperfections on our wall and gave the wall a textured finish. We were painting over existing drywall unlike your new drywall. The kitchen looks fantastic!
Love it! Did a good job. I would have primed those apples and baskets. Probably would have been able to cover it up a little easier. But it looks fabulous!!!
I would have primed everything. You are supposed to prime drywall before painting it, but have seen many that don't and end up having to paint it many times to get it to look right.
Kitchen is looking great & happy to hear about the white. I got an opinion for you while you are painting the cabinets white. Paint that spice shelf by your bedroom door white. 🤷♀️ Then it won't look so dated! 💞
Kilz primer would have buried the bleeded through to 1 top coat...in case you have the same issue anywhere else. A more pastel yellow might would have not been as stark. Mom painted the kitchen yellow like that...it lasted a week...then back to Ice blue(a very lite, transparent blue)..the color it stayed for 26 years.
I was going to say either the Kilz or the Kilz II primer. The Kilz is an oil based and used for oil based paint, and the Kilz II is not oil based and is used for the other paint types. It works great, regardless of which you use and saves a lot of paint.
I love the color. Looks like the sun is shinning all the time in your kitchen! Just a tip: prime first with kiltz or one of the others brands and you will not have to do as many coats! It looks great.
I agree the Kilz primer before you paint the apple baskets in the laundry room will do the trick. It will save money and time. Lookin good though. Was relived to hear you mention the missing corner pieces. Those corners were really shouting at me...not finished. Ha!
Should have caulked them seams then painted.. but you can still do that and then touch up paint on the caulking.. will also save on trim I reckon.. love the work your all doing.. can’t wait to see the finished product!
They could have used hot mud first to fill the gap then taped with regular mud. But thats harder to do after you've painted unless you have enough touch up paint left. But what they have done turned out well too. And as long as they are happy thats what matters.
Yay. Super excited 🙌 had to comment even before watching as I know it's going to be good. I've been waiting for this 😍 Tip.. use painters tape. Clean lines and none where you don't want it
The kitchen looks great even though I'm not a fan of yellow, it looks bright and cheery but will look even better when you paint your new cabinets white. I give you credit for being able to paint without masking or a drop cloth and not spilling a drop of paint! Hope your pumpkin pie came out delicious. I haven't made pumpkin from scratch since I was a little girl with my Dad, but my hubby and I have grand plans to make a huge one on our porch into multiple pumpkin pies. Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless!
Enjoying your videos, I have a double wide that I'm about to start small renovations on the inside, some of your ideas have inspired me, lol.....thanks for sharing.
The color looks like my Lilting Lily from Valspar that we painted the guest bathroom and the hallway. I love the color. We live in a mobile home, also and had to use two coats of primer to cover the dark stripes on the wall in the bathroom. I now need to figure out the dining/ sitting room color and the kitchen color. We just renovated both bathrooms and they look great, but when you are Seventy years young it gets a little harder and slower going. Love to watch what you are doing to your home.
Thank you so much Sandra! If you're interested in the paint details we just posted to our Instagram & Facebook pages with all the details 😊 @greenacrehomestead
Awe I’m going to miss the purple drywall lol. But man I love that color, (warm butter lol) the white cabinets will really set the kitchen off! Can’t wait to see it when it’s done!!

I like the pale yellow. And the white paint for the cabinets is a great idea. Those flowers sitting next to the sink go great with the new paint.
Oh my, I laughed so hard at the last 2 seconds of video.
Y’all did a great job.
That's our WILD 4 year old. LOL
It seemed like he was just waiting to yell with excitement at the end of the video. And your face was the icing on top. Lol well played.
I love the color !!! White cabinets will pop !!!! Clean, cool 😎 snappy kitchen ❤️❤️. Great music too 👍

Yes, you did! Thank you for helping me find that! And I can ALWAYS use projects to stay out of trouble! 😎

Welcome! We hope our videos are helpful!
Love you guys. Love the color of the kitchen. painters tape is a painters best friend. The quality of the new camera is great.
Beautiful colors! White cabinets will be beautiful!. ❤️❤️❤️
Great job, Its so much brighter. White cabinets will be perfect for this space.
Great color for the kitchen, so sunny! Great job. No real tips, to share. Just hugs!
I like it - the cupboards look nice as they are. It will be very pleasant when finished
Actually, if you use the right type of paint and technique, there isn't any issues with chipping and scratching.
I love the bright cheery kitchen color. I love white kitchen cabinets.
I bought my 1940s grandparents house. The kitchen was 14 x 17. The lower cabinets were American Kitchens...designed by Frank Lowey...same guy who designed the 1950s Studebaker. Forgot to tell you, love the color❣️ Nice sunny yellow for a nice sunny family😃
Good job;)
I absolutely love the color. White cabinets would look good but white wash would look better with the paint color. Btw, the picture and sound is awesome! Thanks for sharing, God bless!

White cabinets will look awesome!...Great choice!
Ни слова не понимаю, но хочу сказать вам, ребят вы такие милые, очень похожи друг на друга, счастья вам🤗
I like the colour! So light and bright! It will look great with the white cabinets 👍😁🇨🇦
The wife and I painted our old house with yellow walls and white cabinets and it look good. I'm trying to get her to let me do the same thing in double wide. It has spices on the wall. Oh you guys are doing great.
The video quality and sound are great!! Seems clearer to me. Love the kitchen color :)

I like the buttery yellow. Reminds me of yellow cake batter.
Is better painting before install the kitchen. great video
What a beautiful happy color!! 💛
I love the paint coloring in your kitchen, very nice
I love that Butter Cream color!!!! The cabinets are fine, but painting them white will really set the whole kitchen off :) Don't forget the pantry/laundry room!!! Looking great you two!
The laundry room will be its own project.. coming some day! We have a complete redo of that space in mind. 😊
I like the video quality. So far no audio complaints either.
I love your kitchen I just painted my kitchen the exact same color Last winter. At first I thought oh wow this is too bright but it's not, after I got everything done with the cabinets white and the new curtains and decorations on the walls it's very homie. Now I'm really enjoying it. 👍😊

Beautiful color!! Cant wait to see cabinets white!
Love the background music! Reminds me of the Dick Van Dyke show, ha! Also, don't know if the camera view is accurate but I love a butter colored yellow.
OH IS SO BEAUTIFUL. MY OLD HOUSE HAD A YELLOW KITCHEN WITH RED BRICK ACCENT. I LOVE IT..............
I love the color you chose.....it is gorgeous!
I was surprised you didn't use painters tape , good color sunny yellow .
Since we're painting the cabinets after the walls we didn't need to tape them off. We will tape the walls when we paint the cabinets though - to keep the walls finished.
Yup, white cabinets will look great!
Nice color. Very soft and creamy butter.
Your music selection is awwwesome! 😂😎
You are such good examples for the kids.
Aww, thank you!!!
I love a yellow kitchen!! I always paint my kitchen yellow.
The best!
Love the Yellow.
6:08 she looks like a kid that was shocked being caught doing something she wasnt supposed to be doing LOL . And yes that audio and video are great.
The kitchen is looking great!
Buttermilk yellow is joyful to live with. I love a bit of Delph style accessories with this colour. You will grow to love it. xx
Love the kitchen color very pretty
Like the colour and the music great 👍 bet your glad your nearly finished xxx 😘 xx 😘
We are! So close, but still lots to do. :)
Great job your kitchen is looking so good
One word primer, first coat of primer would have covered and kept the bleed-through from happening. That really does look great. You pick the perfect color
I liked that. Looks nice and music was upbeat.
Looks like a soft yellow. Love that color. My craftroom is that color with white trim. Love it. 65 degrees tomorrow..may paint a bit some(need to finish painting some kitchen spots. Light gray)
Good job guys , nice and fresh . Keep up the good work .

I really like the color but your right about the cabs good job guys

Then it won't look so dated! 💞
Yes, absolutely! All the 'natural' wood surfaces will get painted to match. We like a clean and bright looking kitchen!
The color is beautiful!
I luv the cabinet color with the paint, from what I'm seeing on video anyways. It looks cozy & fresh.
This is fantastic!
Keep up the brilliant work and content
Quality is good and audio good also.
love the paint color for the kitchen love 😍 the song ❤️
Kilz primer would have buried the bleeded through to 1 top coat...in case you have the same issue anywhere else. A more pastel yellow might would have not been as stark. I love the color. Looks like the sun is shinning all the time in your kitchen! Just a tip: prime first with kiltz or one of the others brands and you will not have to do as many coats! It looks great.
Primer is cheaper than paint. One coat of primer first -- I swear by Zinsser 123 -- and those apples & baskets will disappear.
DLR Young you are right. Caulking makes a huge difference.
They could have used hot mud first to fill the gap then taped with regular mud. But thats harder to do after you've painted unless you have enough touch up paint left. But what they have done turned out well too. And as long as they are happy thats what matters.

Looks lovely yellow isn’t my thing but makes your kitchen seem like happy place to gather.
We have that counter in are kitchen love it
Oh, that is going to look BEAUTIFUL with the white cabinets. I think it is coming along quite nicely. Great job guys. 👍
I love watching you guys, and I love the purple and yellow flowers.
Hi guys! Looks so bright & fresh. Love it!
I love the color you chose.
ALSO THE SPACE BETWEEN THE MOLDING AND THE CEILING YOU CAN COVER THE GAP WITH DAP OR CAULK . SO PRETTY.
Excellent color 👌!
There’s a reason we painted before the floor 😉
I love the paint color
Looks like yellow cake batter in the video, looks yummy! 🎂💙
Yes!!! Or Butter creme, or banana pudding, or... or... or... YUM!!!
That is a nice yellow color!
Looks fabulous!!!
Love the yellow and loved the background music.
Wish I could help paint, and Happy Thanksgiving! It's my favorite Holiday. Still praying for your safety and progress. Take care.
Enjoying your videos, I have a double wide that I'm about to start small renovations on the inside, some of your ideas have inspired me, lol.....thanks for sharing.
Glad to be of help to you! We're currently doing a new roof but will be renovating the bedrooms over winter if things work out. :) Good luck!
Looks fantastic! I'm always amazed at how paint can transform something so quickly!
Jeston Music! Woo Hoo! It is looking more and more professional and finished! Very impressive! :)
Angela, I said "Ooooh", just before you did. I love that color. Bet it's a little darker in real though.[that's the color of my kitchen too.]
Yellow is always a great choice for a kitchen. Don’t forget to add some blue elements there too!
Looks a lot better!
The color looks like my Lilting Lily from Valspar that we painted the guest bathroom and the hallway. I love the color. Love the butter cream color!! It's gonna b beautiful when it's all done ... Have a great day y'all!!
great job guys. God Bless.
I love the wood with this color, but I love white cabinets! Great job! Love it
Looking really nice.
Love the color....
Beautiful. And I love the flowers in the background by the sink at the end of the video.
Angela works in a florist part time (my mother's) and always brings home flowers. I enjoy having them in here too! Thank you Joyce!! -Sam
Awe I’m going to miss the purple drywall lol. But man I love that color, (warm butter lol) the white cabinets will really set the kitchen off! Can’t wait to see it when it’s done!!
Looks very nice 👍💕
It looks so much better guys I love white cabinets y’all home is going to be beautiful when y’all finish prayers and hugs 🤗
