I have this issue, so I had an accident with my 8+ then I lost signal and imei won't display. However I don't have the equipment to do the reballing of the IC. I'm guessing the chip isn't connecting properly to the board terminals. Can I heat up the chip with a heat gun, to reball it without removing it? Kindly lemme know if this is possible.
Hello mister, may I ask you what the reflow gun temperature was set to? I have the same issue with my iPhone 8 Plus and I just want to reflow the chip without removing it. Thank you for this video.
If the chip is under filled, then it’s best to remove the chip and Reball, the under fill could be pop and make the chip higher than the pad on the board, causing bad connection and greyed pads, but you can use 310-320c 40-55air

Yeah I guess, I mean it depends on the repair shop as you can see in the video there is a lot of speed forwarding so obviously I didn’t make in couple of minutes
Hello sir, i hope you can help me. Tried all of the possible troubleshooting and still doesn’t work. I kind of happen to have opened my iP8+ multiple times and changed battery, charging port set, taptic engine. I kinda of ruin and rip off a flex around upper middle right portion of the phone. I’m not sure if replacing that will resolve it. Also, not sure what’s it called that’s why I can’t buy on online yet.
Nice work. This is exactly how we teach this repair. Did you reball the IC because you wanted some leaded balls?
Leaded balls ?? I changed the ic and I recalled the new ic because I don’t trust the previous soldering paste
