Thanks for the video. I'm new to bikepacking and have no idea what all these materials are. I'm getting a custom bag for my warbird and torn between these exact materials for the whole pack.
If you do a deeper dive on the Rockgeist website they go into the benefits of each of the materials they offer. There is also a custom Dyneema bag if you wish to go that route. Good luck with your choice!
They make good gear. I own a top tube and feed bag from there, also a space link. I picked up my custom frame bag from rogue panda. They're all dope bag makers. Check out outer shell, rogue panda, ovega negra, bedrock bags. I've picked up things from all of them to fine tune my setup based on what type of trip I'm doing.
I was looking at rogue panda as well... will look into the other shops you mentioned as I think you are right about it depends on what kind of trip you are doing to what you might outfit your bike with. thanks again for checking it out!
Great video, thanks for the detailed look! How do you feel about the lace-up option now that you've been using it? I have a carbon frame and I know lace-up is the gentler option, but I'm also worried about how time consuming it will be to take on and off, so I'm torn between lace-up and velcro.
Thanks for taking a look Michael... you know i actually was not sure about the lace up as i wondered how it would ware on the frame as it got dirt around the laces... we will see. I would say if you plan on taking your bag on and off it may be a bit of a pain but i intend to leave mine on. good luck on your bags, i can say this is a quality bag though.
Great video mate thanks for the full run down process end result looks mint.
Thank you so much!
