      Thanks! I'll keep my eye out for any weird ways to play. At one point I was planning to do a town hall only city and use recurring quests to generate all goods, supplies, etc. until I could complete settlements to get emissaries, but that was just waaaaaay too slow and boring to play.

    Sniping with Arc produces thousands of FP per day in the right hands. Combine that with CF and farming RQs to produce vast amounts of goods, coins, and supplies. The rest of the space can be used for military. This involves more active play, but will allow extremely faster progression.

    • @UBERnerd14
      @UBERnerd14  2 роки тому +3

      The CF isn't as useful as you'd want it to be in a tiny town. You wouldn't be able to reach a level where you don't lose resources by using it, and the bottleneck becomes supplies production rather than goods. Paying coins and supplies for goods would backfire then. However, the Arc could have been useful if I stuck with it, but it would take too long to truly pay off. Once again, I don't need FP, I need supplies.
      Of course, you could build a tiny town focused around, say, fighting, at which point an arc could be pretty useful. But when my main target is reaching high ages, it kind of falls short.

    • @AdamBittner
      @AdamBittner 2 роки тому +7

      @@UBERnerd14 With the Arc on board, you can farm the "spend X FP" quests via sniping and/or 1.9 threads to get supplies (and goods etc) completely free (not using the unbirthday quests). And the amount of supplies obtained this way scales up with age.

    I recommend doing settlements, if coins and supplies allow it. Through settlements you can get allies to assign into you’re town-hall, most importantly from ancient Egypt. As ancient Egypt gives 2 units/day from the town hall without the need of more space. Vikings can be an interesting pick too for 3x3 building and 30% attack buff, to improve further upon you’re city’s production and buffs without the need to sacrifice much more space

    • @UBERnerd14

      I have gone this route with other cramped city designs, as well as Traz-less city designs. Core is the Royal Bathhouse to generate 10 unattached units per day. Doing Vikings and Egypt generates a lot of emissaries to make the Town Hall more productive.

    You could have just built himeji castle to get infinite supplies forever. And goods and fp. And diamonds and rouges.
    What I'm thinking could be a good strategy for a modern challenge of this kind is to get himeji and blue galaxy. Then a panda shrine as long as possible. Then fill the rest with sunhaven palaces to produce jester stages and slowly replace them with the jester stages as you get them, ending up with just those 4 building types: Himeji, BG, Panda, Jester. I don't know if having no attack boost is viable, but going for it may not make a difference if you can't get enough to win.
    Alternatively if some ludicrous event building presents itself you can go for that. For example in that one event I got 21 sparkforge stormspires at gold level. 6 fp 1 good and 6% attack per tile without need for road. Assuming there will be more of these ludicrous buildings maybe ditch blue galaxy and just do himeji for the infinite supplies along with all the other boosts.

    I have a thematic town, a Silk Road town, so Asian buildings and the Turkish buildings. I don't have an Alcatraz but I do have a Chateau and an Arc, as well as a Blue Galaxy and currently the AI Core and the Spaceship to help with special goods. My goal is to reach Virtual Future, where I will remove all of the buildings that do not support the theme (except for the Arc and the Blue Galaxy, you can argue that Asian countries have some futuristic architecture too :P). But everything else will go, including event buildings that do not fit the theme. they are down now to produce me a lot of goods and forge points, so I have a stack for later when I won't have as many of them. Once I reach Virtual and went through the tech tree, I will place all the Japanese themed buildings from the era. It's the perfect age for this theme, with the cool cyberpunk Japanese buildings. I'm currently in Arctic and cannot wait to finally settle in Virtual.

    I'm starting over on Tiny Towns, building my second one in two years (the first one was deleted). I believe the trick is to go sloooooowly and eke out every advantage of reverse scaling you can get. What do I mean by that? Well certain buildings like the Oracle are relatively expensive to level for their age, but there is a space premium where GBs that have tighter footprints have a better productivity per tile compared to their roomier brethren (like the Notre Dame compared to the Oracle, which produce the same thing). Like you, I'm using the Babel and Oracle only as stepping stones until better event buildings or GBs make more sense.
    As for slooow, I'm in about 11 days into a 3 week camp in the Bronze Age. The goal is to get Bronze Age event buildings to generate Bronze Age goods before moving up to Iron Age, where I'll spend at least a year. In BA you can run the Have 4 spearmen/Have 4 slingers repeatable every 20 minutes to an hour (depending on guild level), which on average generates 6 goods and about 0.8 FP [packetized] per 2-quest cycle. With a little goods trading up and down and event awards, I have already netted 2,389 BA and 1,705 IA goods while still in Bronze Age.
    Also the Drummer and Bannerguard are godly units in BA, and coupled with spearmen slay most battles found in quests. When moving up to IA, I'll still be exploiting Drummers/Bannerguards plus Zeus bonus to make Spearmen stronger than the IA light units. The goal here is to arrive in IA with goods production at 85 BA and 54 IA per day, enough to negotiate all of GE 3 and most weeks GE 4.
    I'll use the Arc long enough to collect all the prints needed, and then probably delete it while keeping an Obs for Treasury Goods. My other GBs planned out for are the Seed Vault for current goods, supplies, and diamonds, and the Star Gazer for prior era goods (especially if I decide to stay perma-Iron Age).
    This city has started on the USA Server, Dilmun world, under the handle Gentleman Farmer. I should be leaving Bronze Age by October 9, 2023.

    Hello Uber! I would like to ask that, have you considered putting down the Himeji Castle, even though it's a 6x6 but it provides a massive amount of supplies and additionally it gives great rewards, such as Goods, Rouges and FPs. I know the chance is not too high but it well worth your time. Furthermore, I bet this is probably and most possibly not your first world, so you must've considered joining an active and helpful guild. IMO many people who do this challenge gets some outside help, at least initially to get things going (farming BPs for GBs, unfair good trades for GBs or to make many goods by trading down, also figthing bonuses, extra FP from the Town Hall, GBG rewards etc.)

    • @UBERnerd14
      @UBERnerd14  Рік тому +2

      The HC is definitely something I've been thinking about, but I haven't decided yet since it would be a pretty large investment.
      As per an active guild, currently I'm part of a decently active small guild that doesn't do too much ge/GBG. The problem with joining an active, high-level guild is that I probably wouldn't be able to complete the guild minimums. I'd need a guild that wanted me because of the tiny town, etc. and for right now I'm fine where I'm at for that regard.

    Looks very cramped. Agree the Arc simply doesn't make sense for a tiny town. The MAIN benefit of the Arc is to get infinite medals, to buy victory expansions. If you're not going to use those expansions... the additional blueprints etc. are not worth the space cost in your city.
    Personally I would have deleted the Lighthouse as well if you are that short on space. A second Suishun Mill would be better value, or perhaps some settlement buildings. The Viking Yggdrasil, Aztec Sun Temple, and Egyptian Royal Bathhouse are best in slot buildings to get to max level, and you have certainly had enough time to do all of those settlements many times. Nothing wrong with the Feudal Japan Shinto Temple either. All of these give excellent forge points, plus goods and combat boosts or units in some cases. That said, if you don't have space for great buildings, what do you need the forge points for?
    In the long run as you advance eras, you are going to be challenged by having insufficient combat boosts for the enemy units of the era. I don't know if there is any practical solution for that in a tiny town challenge.

    • @UBERnerd14
      @UBERnerd14  2 роки тому

      I'd say the main benefit of the arc is to get cheap BP and FP that you can use to level your own GB. Without it, it is hard to get to high levels of GB.
      As for the Lighthouse, it provides the majority of my supply boost. And settlements are in my agenda, but I am not the biggest fan of them right now :)
      FP are used to level the GB I have, and get prints to open more levels.
      I am a little concerned about higher age fighting, but I should be ok on attack by the time I get there. My Zeus will be much higher, and new event buildings will come out with crazy stats. Probably.

      BTW, the upcoming Fall event main building (Sunflower Oil Press) may be worth shoe-horning into your city if you can get it to level 9. 6x4 squares, 34 Goods when motivated, 12fps, and 3 Units per day. At level 8, you don't get any free units though (as well as getting less of the other stuff), so getting the last level is important. Unfortunately, getting all 9 levels will require being able to do the daily challenge every day as well as all the event quests. This could be ... difficult.

If you aren't in a tiny town :) the easiest thing to do is message other players and grab low spots on their great buildings. It also helps to get and level and Arc highly, so that you can get more rewards like prints and FP from taking spots on other players' GB. Well i saw your video and started my Tiny Town in Beta, 2 months ago. Deleting the Arc was a big mistake you made, all the game is based at the Arc, and you should be patient.. the key to tiny town i believe are the cultural settlements! Play egypt (for 12fps and 10 units) , then Aztecs and Vikings, for 30% att and 30% def , plus 8+12 fps and goods, and placing Himenji for supplies (allready have 8M in only two months play) and Frontenak! thankfully some friends of mine gave me the goods for Himenj Arc and Cf, and now theyre all to 10 and planning to take the Arc to 80! the only way to build up a bank to be able to progress fast later. but you have to be patient cause iron age has a great advantage : the pay 2K coins 2K supplies rq!! when you CF is over 20-25 you do that rq and you re filled up with fps and goods! i plan to stay a year or more, and get my Arc to 80 (sniping at IA is very easy) and maybe Cf to 60 and then its much easier to go up. I will problably have Iggy , Temple of Sun and Bathhouse ready by then, so plus Fiore Village that i have now(for population to my 3 archers) and Bistro i can have like 100fps per day! So you gave me a fantastic idea man, i am an end game player at my live servers and i was kinda bored, now i have all this new prospective and i thank you for that! I have been considering trying the tiny town challenge for a while now. I wonder if pushing on early till settlements are unlocked would be a good idea. Royal Bathhouse plus Yggdrasil nets more attack bonus, units, fp on 21 squares compared to Governor's Villa's 30 square footprint. Also wondering if Himeji Castle is worth the space, it's roughly the same size as Arc but it would solve the supply problem, if you can get it to level 58 it produces 2 million a day and the 9 challenges a day reward a decent amount of fp and goods.

      Settlement buildings would be powerful, I just don't have the desire to grind them anymore. The HC has been on my radar for a while. Another tiny town has one and likes it. The only problem is it's sheer size and to get to those high levels would be a pretty large investment.

      Buy them from another player for forge points. You might be able to get them from someone in your guild

      @@UBERnerd14 So you can directly buy them for forge points? How? I thought you had to trade goods to get other goods

      You do, but what usually happens is you pay a certain amount of forge points onto another player's great buildings, and then they'll take your trades

    I don't get it. You talk about supply boosts but I don't see any supply buildings. If your supplies are coming out of event buildings, tear that LOA down. I did see some blacksmiths. There's no point in boosting them except in the very earliest ages.

    • @UBERnerd14
      @UBERnerd14  2 роки тому +3

      The supplies are coming from the event buildings, but unfortunately many event buildings don't give a lot of supplies. Without the LoA I'd be producing next to no supplies.

      @@UBERnerd14 I get it the LOA produces supplies. Notice though, that the boost from the LOA has no effect on LOA production so the actual boost isn't doing you any good. You might be better off with a GT which is smaller.

    • @UBERnerd14
      @UBERnerd14  2 роки тому +2

      The LoA doesn't produce supplies. It provides a supply boost and goods.

      Dan - the supply boost does work on event buildings. So whatever the event building produces naturally - it does produce more with the LoA.
      Still the HC is 6X6 so huge for a city like this but I would think if supplies are such a problem it would be the way to go.

    Zeus, Lighthouse and Settlements is the stuff to focus on in tiny city. Think you missed the inportance of getting Yggdrasil, Shinto tempel, and Royal bath up. And Build 2 Rogue den, it makes fighting more easy.
    Lighthouse Fix the need for suplies if you have good suplies buildings like Yggdrasil, Butterfly house, sun temple, shinto temple and/or premiun suplies building. In PME Greenhouse provide 16000 in 1 h, (with 400% bonus). Terracotta vineyard doesnt fix anything. So, Either go for settelment, or go for Premium suplies building, or Delete LoA and build HC insted

      See, the thing is, I don't really feel like doing another round of settlements. It's just painful. The point of this city is to have fun, not be the most strategically organized city. I do appreciate your tips though.

No event buildings no special buildings no gb from above iron age just the buildings of the era and also trying to make it look nice. Have you heard of anyone doing the same ?

    3:00 You were trying to be an Arc Trump!!!! (That is, gaining profit at other people's unfair expense.) I would rather you plunder me than snipe my buildings, and I would have re-cooped everything form you and any of your guild mates that happened to be in my neighborhood --- as they all would be paying taxes for your unscrupulously rude actions. It would not have paid if you had done that to me.

      I know how that feels :). But you can avoid getting sniped by priming your GB correctly and avoid plundering by collecting on time . Once you do both, no one can take anything from your city.
