You can take a normal scale / tape, and check how much is 1 mm thickness,

because we are using VIRGIN GRADE HDPE it does not affect the growth of fish. But please take care of the TDS of the water and the temperature ( because it's in the open area). Also I recommend you consult with other farmers in your locality or any agri officer.

@ naveena ulavan, I appreciate your efforts to bring technology in to farming. You may need to be more cautious about these products.. please do post the harm full effects of using shade nets... and let's all be cautious about what we post in youtube.
Absolutely appreciate this initiative in agri tech. But nowadays farmers are advised to practice mulching ie cover the soil with straws so that evaporation could be minimized. Likewise if this pond can come with a cover it will help prevent atleast 5 ltrs in evaporation per day.
