IL-2 BoS: He-111H-16 Heinkel & Seek

- G'day all,
Today we conceal ourselves in cloud, I call it cloud skimming I am not sure by what name others call it but we will hide in the base of the cloud layer where we are still able to effectively use the Bomb sight. We will sneak past the enemy and bomb the target they are covering, hopefully return or at least bail over friendly territory.
I have left what some people may consider less then exciting flight in this video in an effort to show off the H-16 a little more, even though it is very similar as you may expect to the H-6 variant.
If you are a He111H-6 fan and fly it often or even just on occasion it is a noticeable improvement and well worth purchasing BoK. Similar to when I decided to purchase BoM the BF110 and Ju88 made were well worth it even if that's all I would have received and so I feel with BoK the BF110G2, Fw190A5 and He111H16 have already made BoK well worth the money and they haven't even released the Spit, P39, HS129 new IL2 and the friggin A-20! A-20 people!
And no I am not sponsored or anything remotely similar. I do however think that the Dev team do an outstanding job and we should all be grateful because if they weren't doing this it's likely we may only have 1946 or War Thunder to choose from.
And if the Dev team ever watch this video please think about the Li-2/PS-84 as a collector plane, it could be the Russian equivalent of the Ju52 and can be re-skinned for the Pacific as it is essentially the Douglas C-47.
Oh if you are thinking of picking up BoK, don't fool yourself, save longer if required get the Premium you know you're just going to pick up the BoK collector aircraft(Hs129b2, SpitVb) later anyway!

Best looking WWII aircraft; good to see it come home without a scratch (They used to drop bombs on my family, but it's still a gorgeous plane!)

Thank you. My grandfather was on firewatch in London during the blitz. His job was to stand on a tower in Chiswick during air raids and use telephones and theodolites to work out where the bombs fell, then direct the fire brigade to the results. He was very familiar with all types of German aircraft (and their bomb loads) and missiles.
The Blitz-Heinkels could carry a bomb tonnage of two tons, the later version three tons, with stronger engines, about 1.350 hp I think, which wasn´t so bad for a two motor engine. It was a bit slow, less than 500 km/h but good looking, that´s true.

These airplanes were difficult to fly in real life. With such a wide wing, they were aerodynamically unstable under certain conditions and were prone to stalling. I noticed that you exclaimed that you didn't "crash on takeoff"! The FM seems to be spot-on. Great video work.
Actuality the He 111 was the easiest German bomber to fly once airborne but i heard the already out dated Do 17 where really hard to fly and took more skill than a He 111.

Those were some brave pilots. Slow, sitting ducks, totally exposed in the cockpit and hard to get out of (got the chance to sit in the pilots seat, and omg is it cramped in there)

Looks like most German bomber pilots perished over London, because almost no one but you have done a level bombing before. Good to see a few veterans still remaining ;)

They have don a great job keeping the system req low maybe try it out when the a sale you can pick up IL2 Stalingrad very cheap
@@CheckSix Hey. I actually recently got an Asus 1060 Strix for my stationary device and so i now have 10 times better performance. I was playing the old 1946 game off the CD so you can imagine what kind of graphics quality that was. Maybe like these games looked in the 90`s? Indeed Stalingrad is the one i got. Let`s see, i have Moscow, Kuban, Rheinland and a few more. This is the ONLY thing i play, nothing else. 100% hooked on WWII flight sim ;-) I have yet not figured out if / how to use turbo superchargers when out & about. I find the Tempest the meanest cat out there, but my fav. aircraft is the Mig-3 :)

In my opinion you could also fly the H6. I love your Bomber videos the most so i wouldn't mind if you would play the H6. It would be nice but I can't decide what you wan't to play. Love your videos

Later models of he 111s had upgraded defensive armament like 20mm cannon in nose and more 7.62mm machine guns. They could defend against enemy fighters or strafe enemy troops etc on ground

Hey 6! Nice video once again man. Only one tip, please try to inform the team on enemy positions in the chat if you see them. Also, ask for cover! There are often guys that will help you. More on hardcore servers like DED or TAW.

No, not dumb at all, I take a screen shot of the replay and then photo shop it, If it was a mission on the TAW server

Just have a question because I will buy Il-2 BOS and wanted to ask if the He 111 H6 is a much different plan then the H16
They are very much the same plane, the H-6(the Stalingrad) has a fuel tank fitted inside the rightside bomb bay for long range bombing. A balance decision for the game by the dev's I believe, a good decision IMHO. The H-16(from Kuban, BoK) has that removed and is able to use the rightside bomb bay for bomb stowage only fits up to 4x SC250(249Kg) bombs in there. the loss of range is negligible, it changes the fight time from 8hrs + , down to 6hr 20 or 40 mins. but I do recommend the Battle of Stalingrad as a first purchase as it has aircraft like the Bf109 F4 and G2 Yak and Lagg as standard which most common aircraft available on multiplayer servers. I hope my answer helps and made sense, fell free to ask more if it didn't I will answer as soon as I find them. UA-cam no longer notifies me of comments or even reply's to comments I have made. just out of curiosity, why didn't the H6 in BoS have double bomb bay doors? Was this what happened in real life?

Call me weird but I think the aircraft I'm most excited about in BoK is the Hs-129, it just has that "so bad it's good" appeal to it. Although I'm looking forward to the P39 and Spitfire too, they'll make some formidable opponents.
Kittenstomper I actually am also, I am really interested to see its performance and how effective it can be and I'm looking forward to the A20 and the new il2, the spit and p39 are awesome bonuses for me.
