You, sir, have the most calming and reassuring voice I've ever heard on an installation video. Also the best explanation of this product, which I needed as the Quick Start Guide is somewhat confusing. I viewed the entire video, then reran it while I did the installation. Pretty easy, then. I’ve followed your guide on my iPad Pro but when it finished the setup it said “ please refresh”. I’m not sure I understand this part. When I login, on the status menu where the internet icon is, it says disconnected. What am I doing wrong?please help.
Where you are connecting this make sure you get at least 2 signal bar
My issue after goin' through da guide a couple times, and watchin' this vid, were dat I had an SSID which seemed to be too long, so after the "Please Refresh" stage, I still couldn't find the Extender Wi-Fi Network. After shortenin' the SSID, I was able to find them.
Were u able to get to da stage where the "Blue - Connected" LED light was displayed.
I did every step that the instructions show, which is the same as yours. however when all done I back out and reconnect as it said. I does not connect. What an I doing wrong?
please connect somewhere near the router or modem first. then reboot it there make sure you see connected,
Stay near your router.
1. Setup Wavlink ( connect to the internet )
2. Reboot the Wavlink, then see if you can connect. once getting a good connection.
3. check with your phone where in the house you are getting 2 bar of signal, on your router. then connect your Wavlink there.
then try to connect your phone or tablet to wavlink SSID.

I have Spectrum Internet service and the router is a Ubee DVW32C1. The WAVLINK AC 1200 wizard says the Wifi Password fails to meet 3 of the 4 security protocols (lower, upper, number, special); the router's default password was upper and numbers only. Which is easier to do change router password or override the Wavlink's security protocol?
that should be a breeze to setup, WIFI password is setup on your Spectrum Router/modem. and Wavlink accepts it to connect.

Thanks for the video! Do you have any idea how to configure this device so it won't generate additional wifi names with different subnetworks but just to extend existing one with DHCP settings forwarded from main router? For now this device is useless as it creates its own pool, doesn't let to set DHCP within same subnetwork as a router so requires tamburine dancing with routing rules on router so devices could connect to each other. For example if your TV or receiver connected directly to router and phone connected to this repeater you can't use remote from the phone. Also it's uncomfortable to have lots of WiFi networks names. No suitable manuals from the manufacturer. And would much appreciate the video manual on how to set this device up with cable connection for the same purposes.
This is only for range extender what you want you need a tp link or dlink router to setup with wrtt or tomato firmware.
@@xctechs I need exactly range extender. Without any extra functionality. Just to see one seamless Wifi network across the house with same DHCP settings provided by main router. This device doesn't seem to be that simple though it must be its primary purpose. BTW figured out that in LAN Bridge mode with cable connection it forwards router's DHCP, so it's wonderful. But anyway it creates additional WiFi names which is quite annoying but it's already a step forward.

I've been thinking about getting one of these for my mom. She needs a router/modem and an Ethernet. She has one of those older desktops, and her PC will not let her use Wi-Fi if she doesn't have an Ethernet for some reason. Will this work for her?
This is not a router you need for your mom if she needs a wired connection.
yes you can use it in that way. connect this extender to your main router wirelessly and then just plug in an ethernet cable from this extender to the pc
How is the WiFi speed on the clients connected to the Repeater.. Any drop compared to master moderm/router
i really didn't see any signal drop or speed difference. unless you connect to 2.4Ghz.

Hello, it is easy to configure, connects 5ghz, but the speed is 2.4GHz, this video is not shown how to configure Wi-Fi, in 5G Advanced Settings, is locked to configure, nothing works, solved this problem?
Remember that my setup was a wifi extender which I connected to a 5Ghz network that is setup with triband router 5300 linksys. Now to get max speed out of it was not over 240Mbps, and if connect land connection and use as your main router then your speed wont go over 40Mbps cause your land connection on this exterender/router is only 10/100. Nothing to fix man.
Tips:
-check for update
-factory reset and re-setup
But if you want to get 1Gb speed out of this it wont happen this is only dualband 1200 max speed which brings you around 300Mbps max.
Please correct me if I am wrong, and do let me know if I am missing something I would love to help and bring newer videos.

Don't you need to connect to wifi internet connection first before you go ahead with the setup - you just plugged it . how is that possible?

i would always suggest for people to check which side of the house you are low on signal, then use your phone or tablet to check in the middle of where you have less bars, for this to be connected.

Note… My important questions below are pertaining to a somewhat similar Wavelink Wi-Fi range extender… Wavelink AC 1200… It’s the weatherproof 4 antenna unit for outdoor use
I live in my motorhome and I have no Wi-Fi or broadband here....and my motorhome is about 300 feet away from my bosses office which DOES have Wi-Fi and broadband
My boss will NOT allow me to plug anything into his router and he will NOT give me his router password but I DO have his Wi-Fi guest network password
So I have the password for my bosses guest Wi-Fi network when I walk over there to my bosses office his guest Wi-Fi network appears on my phone and I enter the password and I just connect to it with my iPhone
I don’t think I have a user account for his guest Wi-Fi network my boss just gave me the password and when I see the guest Wi-Fi network on my iPhone I enter the password and I’m connected
The only problem is that I live in my motorhome 300 feet away the best solution is probably to mount your antenna extender on the roof right above the area where his router is (One story building)
so the question is using my iPhone and your 4 antenna extender can I download your app and somehow connect your antenna to my bosses wi-fi guest network and then extend the signal wirelessly 300 feet to my motorhome?
remember I cannot plug anything into his router and he will not give me his router password only the guest Wi-Fi network password

It’s probably important for you to know that assuming that I can set it up in app mode or whatever to the guest Wi-Fi network will it stay connected once I walk 300 feet with my iPhone in my pocket back to my motorhome or does my iPhone have to be near the antenna all the time?

I am sorry i can't really help you there, #1 you are stealing, #2 your extender is too far, you need to be around one and half bus away.
@@xctechs Thanks… But… I don’t see why you would think I’m stealing… My boss gave me permission to mount the antenna on the roof of his office and gave me the guest Wi-Fi account password… The 4 antenna Wavelink weatherproof outdoor range extender is advertised for 1600 feet… I’m just trying to get someone to read my message and answer my questions…
@@TubeThisBaby check your signal strength make you see 3 bars, and to answer you why guest password? Why not msin acess password. Guest pass has limited access saying maybe disconnect after 30mins to an house or 24hrs.

@@TubeThisBaby #1 when someone asks question they ask nicely, #2 you have guest access that means limited access #3 why you are thinking i will give you full answers while you are *not* allowed to use full access? please do some search learn how Wi-Fi connects and then extenders work.
we are not here to trouble shoot your issue with Wavelink which we have not reviewed or played with.
what you are doing is stealing, Guest access is like me placing an antenna on my roof and looking to access Starbucks free guest WIFI internet.
please look for rules and regulation through your city and states before you get in trouble. I don't care your boss says anything you need to be safe. your boss = Starbucks free guest WIFI not full access your wave link would not have access in 2 to 24hrs then you need to re-setup your connection. in our providence in Canada that is against the law. so i can't help you.
It doesn't work it cuts my connection in half, with my router I get 108 mbps with it I get 63 it is ridiculous, I have tried it in many different ways, different locations the same problem, when I test my speed it is reduced considerably and it is a waste of time and money, I wouldn't buy if I were you. I am going to return it as per tomorrow, it's a scam.
You are not explaining what you did clearly.
- connecting wireless or wired to this extender?
- wireless connection connected to 5Ghz network?
- when you connect do you know you need to get atleast 2bars of signal? And not 1bar?
Disconnections happen cause you are too far from your router.
Dont call it scam if you know these or done and can explain.
Same situation here. From 600 I get only 40. Wireless. Not too far.
