I've been using OnSong for several years, and decided to go with the upgrade to OnSong 2022 because I want to support developers who make tools I use a lot. That said, most of these changes don't affect the way I use the product and all the built-in connections to worship-related sources are nothing I would ever use. By far my biggest missing feature request is REAL ICLOUD SYNC. I want to be able to edit a song on one Apple device, and have those changes sync'd to all my others by default. Practically every other app I use works this way, OnSong is an outlier.
100%! I would start using OnSong 2022 AND paying the subscription if they added that feature! I constantly make changes on all my devices. Between my Ipad, Phone, and Computer, it's such an annoyance to have to back up and sync the modified library every single time. Hoping they add this soon! Now, if they could make the import from ultimate guitar feature automatically recognize chords and accurately carry over the song title, artist, and key.. I'd lose my mind and jump for joy :-0

So those of us who have been users for years and bought the app before it was a subscription model get stuck with the old app and no future updates?

From what I'm reading in 5he reviews section I think I'm going to stay with ultimate guitar for all my songs that I use and can change the way I want them to be with chord above and edit any of 5hem to my liking thanks to all of you for sharing and giving your feedback 😊
Might be a dumb question (I've been told I'm old school), but can I type a chord chart in Word the way I want it to look and then import it to OnSong? Can I transpose and save keys? Can I make notes with the apple pencil? Will the notes stay with the proper chords/words if I increase or decrease font size? Thank you. If not, can I import from Planning Center if I pay for this app on my own without church support?
For some reason my mac does not seem to show the songs i already have in my ipad any suggestions on how to fix that?.

I had the old Onsong app in my older ipad but now that I bought a New ipad Im stuck on only buying the 2022 version.
So I use Onsong on a few older ipads. Now I want to add it to another older pad but this pad is newer than the ones I am currently using. Onsong is telling me I cannot because the device needs to be 14.06. My pad tops at 12.5.5. So am I out of luck? Do I need brand new pads to use Onsong now? If so I will need to part with this app. TY
Is there a video on making a Nashville studio chart? I play pedal steel guitar. So no lyrics, no guitar fingering charts, just chords in a 4/4 measure? This is what I need for a live performance.

So in this case, we would recommend either just inputting chords in the Song Editor just as you have laid out here, OR you could input the lyrics and chords and then use the Style Preferences menu to turn "off" the lyrics so that only chords display. I just subscribed to unsung 2022 premium. I imported my library from the old Onsong. I'm using the app on my iPhone 13. When I open the song, there is NO edit button...anywhere. How do I open the song to edit it???
I’m a Premium subscriber. Having the Mac version is great, but I can’t figure out how sync my iPad Onsong library with the Mac app. How do I do that? Thanks!
The way I do it is: Do the work on the mac and back that library up (as a backup file) into dropbox, then open up the "import backup feature on my iPad's library and override the iPad's current library with the new library backup from the computer. I wish SO BADLY this would all automatically sync between devices, though. Hope this helped!
My OnSong is not working properly, when I tried to change something in the song simply goes to another song that has nothing to do with the one that I picked and when I import music from web site the name of the music doesn’t show, what shows the title is new available something I don’t remember. So can someone explain what’s going on?????? Thanks

You automatically upgraded me to 2022, now i can not imort songs from ultimateguitar, it imports but does not go into any songlist, eventually disappears. I can edit any song i currently have on Onsong, but NO new songs!!whats up? It used to be so easy
I recently upgraded to OnSong 2022. And since then, every turn I make is met with OnSong asking me to upgrade. I am unable to edit songs or even have a song start to scroll. Every time its asking me to upgrade. So basically the App is useless to me. Anyone have any thoughts or answers? Thank you.
Can you import from guitarchords or ultimate guitar?
Yes- OnSong supports imports from almost anywhere on the internet using the Add to OnSong feature.
How do I restore or import my song library from OnSong 2020 to OnSong 2022?
1. Go to the utilities menu ("gear" icon at top right) in OnSong 2020 and create a backup of your library from OnSong 2020. Save it somewhere where yo'll be able to get to it in the next step (I used an iCloud folder)
2. Go to the "All Songs" list in OnSong 2022 and click the "+" (add files) icon at the lower right corner, then select "files" from the list of options; select the backup file you just created and open it; click the "restore" option from the pop-up.
That's how I copied the library from OnSong 2020 on my iPad to OnSong 2022 on my Mac. Everything came over.
If I use the Mac version is my iPad contents altered automatically?
Apparently not ... at least not yet. I had to backup my existing library from OnSong 2020 on my iPad, and import(restore) into OnSong 2022 on my Mac.
A welcome APP for musicians. But for me the learning curve is very high. Also with different versions it is hard to get support from others. I only use this APP to import a text chord file to build a set to play live. Although I am using the new version it is not a happy experience.
If I paid for OnSong Pro years ago, I would have to pay again to use the newer interface in OnSong 2022? This is a horrible business practice if this is the way you will be operating going forward.
If you purchased OnSong Pro (now OnSong 2020), then you definitely do not have to upgrade to OnSong 2022! OnSong 2022 is a completely optional app, and you will never be forced to upgrade to it, nor will you ever lose access to your current OnSong 2020 app. OnSong 2022 is ideal for people who want to keep up with the latest and greatest features and changes from OnSong, while OnSong 2020 will always remain the same for users who prefer to keep things just how they are.
@@onsongapp with this business practice, I will be looking elsewhere and recommending others to do the same. You could have easily brought over the legacy accounts to the slightly updated interface but instead, you saw an opportunity to increase your bottom line with a subscription on top of what people have already paid for your app.
@@WesleyKennedy I feel the same. We purchased OnSong. We have to purchase Chord sheets etc to use in OnSong and now pay subscription. Worship has become more about making money than worship.
I'm very disappointed with OnSong, requiring a subscription from here on, with any new upgrades. I also paid for the App years ago and feel like I'm stuck with the 2020 version.
I Have an existing OnSong 2020 Premium (Yearly) Personal Account (AppleID) on my iPad and successfully installed OnSong 2022 on my Mac Mini. It took a few tries to get OnSong 2022 on the Mac to recognize my username (email address) and/or password (a "secure" password automatically generated by Apple's Password/Keychain function) but the "account" setting in both the iPad (2020) and Mac (2022) match so, no, I didn't have to pay again to get the 2022 version.
Can’t you just show how you do to edit a song???
These "amazing changes" are useless to probably over 80% of us. "Clips??" Really? How do I get back to version 2020?
Agreed! I don't use most of the features anyway only the basic options.theyre making it not user intuitive but harder to use.why reinvent the wheel?
IT'S REFUND TIME - thanks for the email, but your app did not work on my brand new iPad Pro (2022). I signed up for the subscription and immediately had to apply for a refund because I couldn't even add one song. I tried to add a new song, and every time I clicked the done button, the app was done and it crashed lol, you need to get this little baby fixed before you start bragging about it online. Also I think you could do with a little more planning when you come to put a video on UA-cam. The errors you made during your video left a lot to be desired. Learn and grow from this experience.
Oh my god that horrible background riff!! Same few notes over and over !!! Totally unnecessary!
