Thank you so much for the video. You did it so fast ( I'll probably take half a day 😉) I wanted it sturdy & saw these at the school.
Really like the video, showing how to do each step & the written directions. You made it look easy.

Thank you for this video! I am sinking my tetherball into the ground, but this video was very helpful. I especially like the cross of rebar attached with wire great for stability. I knew I needed something to make it more stable, but wasn't sure what. Awesome tip with the ladder and level too.

I put some $1-dollar foam 'noodles' in my tires so it takes up space and the tires weigh less. The 'noodles' are the things that kids use when swimming to keep them afloat. They are about 4" diameter and 4 feet long or so.

I'm planning on doing this, but not for a tetherball pole.. for some cheap diy weight plates. can you tell me approximately how heavy the base is (the tire with the concrete) I'm guessing that it's about 100 lbs from your video... but i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask

I just built one for my daughter today, she loves it. Thank you for the video. For those having a hard time finding the materials, I just went to a mom and pops tire shop and they gave me an old tire for free. And the rest of the materials you can get at a local Home Depot Depot store. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Great video. I'm made one this week. I added one thing which I think improves it. I poured a quart of polyester fiberglass resin over the concrete. It seals it and will prevent moisture ingress which will prevent freezing from starting a crack path. It also has a nice shiny appearance.
Wait at least two days after concrete pour for resin application.

Thanks again for doing this. I went ahead and built one this weekend. I will say to everyone make sure you pay attention to the size of the tire you get...hehe...I got a bigger tire than I wish I had gotten. In the end the whole thing weighs around 400 lbs. A bit more than I had wished for. Anyhow...thanks OP! This is going to be a Christmas present for my son who absolutely LOVES tether ball!!

Araceli Sanchez I cannot move it by myself. It requires two men to move it and you have to be very careful to not bend the pole. I really dont recommend using a tire the size that I did. But my boys still love the tetherball court and play with it almost every day.

    Pro Tip #2
Ensure the top eye bolt is close to the opening otherwise it could be a pain 😐
Used four (4) bags of cement for my tire and it fits perfect! 60 lbs each.

This is cool they look nice. Maybe you could cut the pipe about 6" above the tire and put a coupling collar on it. So you can break it down and haul it in a SUV for camping and outdoor family fun. I tend to over build things. Lol.

Great tips! I'm going to use this plan to built 2 stands to support a 6' high, 100' wide net to use as a barrier on a gymnasium court for our table tennis club. The weight of the stands should provide the stability to keep the net from sagging at midcourt.

Fantastic video! I used your instructions to make my own tetherballl. I added a cap to the pole to keep rain water out of it, but that's the only variation I've made. Have you tried using a taller pole? I'm going to use the same method with a slightly thicker diameter pole to make a volleyball net post. Thanks again.
