- A very warm and sunny day in London brought the crowds out today.
Video features 10 Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment rehearsing for the Changing The Guard ceremony and marching to Buckingham Palace and St. James Palace, accompanied by The Band and Bugles of The Rifles.

In late 60s & early 70s a combo of Dixie and Marching Through Georgia was a staple bugle march of Royal Green Jacket bands (RGJ a pre curser regiment to The Rifles). Marched behind those tunes several times at 140. Celer et Audax.
Think the DM fantastic he defies gravity with his stance. Great video thanks 😊

Wonderful to see the legacy of the Light Division Bands live on through this band, I can remember the days when they had a strength of 200
I saw them on Horse guards when they had six full bands and bugles plus the depot and T.A bugles.
Loved the Rifles Band and Bugles playing "I wish I was in Dixie" though I wonder if it was appreciated by all Americans among the spectators. It was the de facto national anthem of the Confederacy.
At wars end, Lincoln said Dixie belonged to the nation.
"I wish I was in the land of cotton, old times there are not forgotten, look away, look away, look away Dixie land. In Dixie land where I was born way down south one frosty morn, look away, look away, look away, Dixie land. No hate please... I have no idea why I can remember this stuff. I also know all parts to the Star Spangled Banner, all parts of Fratelli di Italia, the first part of God Save the Queen, and Cunservet Deus Su Re of the former Kingdom of Sardinia....🤷🏻

Very normal for the foot guard bands to have loans from other bands
Interesting choice of the Confederate anthem for the parade. Personally I think it was in poor taste.
When President Lincoln heard of Robert E Lee's surrender at Appomattox he asked a military band in Washington to play "Dixie", saying, "I have always thought 'Dixie' one of the best tunes I have ever heard. Our adversaries over the way attempted to appropriate it, but I insisted yesterday that we fairly captured it…I now request the band to favor me with its performance." (April 10, 1865)

Crap statement, music is music!
That's because it was originally an English folk song tune.
At the start of the march out of Wellington Barracks they start with Marching Through Georgia then flow into Dixie so it’s “Blue & Grey”
