Reading my ACCEPTED UMich Essays | Common App Essay, Supplementals, and Letter of Continued Interest

- Hi everyone! Today I will be reading my UMich essays that got me accepted. These essays I worked hours on and I recommend starting as early as possible. I also recommend writing essays that are so unique to you and your experiences that no on else could have written that essay. I was once told that you should write college app essays "as if a teacher picked up an essay on the ground and could immediately know who it is about." Watching essay videos and reading other accepted essays can be so helpful in this process.
Also, one thing that helped me write out of the box essays was writing late at night. For whatever reason at night time, I would be more creative and would have more motivation to write. I think some of this is because at night your brain can be so tired that it can't physically think of realistic things, so it creates out of the ordinary ideas to write about. Basically, what I am trying to say is find what works best for you and stick with it.

What are you planning on writing about?
just applied EA to umich for the class of 2027! i wrote my common app about how makeup palettes inspired confidence and authenticity in my life. my community essay was about black twitter and how it taught me advocacy as well as finding joy in being black. my why michigan essay was about how i spent a lot of my life unable to choose between academics and the arts, but at michigan i can pursue both with a major in cognitive science and a minor in drama. i loved your essays!

My cousin Makenna is a sophomore at UMich this year to play basketball and tennis and major in organizational behavior she loves it there and the best part of all is she’s a whole 6 hours away from me so we can’t fight

Hi, did you talk about the jewelry shop on your letter of continued interest anywhere else on ur application?
When I submitted my application I didn’t have the jewelry store so it was only talked about on my letter of continued interest!
@@HaydenWeber do u think it would be fine if I talked about something I hadn't yet talked about in my application. While I did things during my senior year it was mainly building on things I did during my high school. I didn't do new things.

I applied early action but got deferred and admitted during regular decisions

I submitted my application and about a week later they sent a "how to write a letter of continued interest" is this there way of saying "its not looking good bro" or is it just an automated email lol
