That was such a brutal foul on Caitlin. The Dallas player should be suspended for her blatant thuggery. Imagine the outcry and hysteria if Caitlin had done that to the Dallas player.
Caitlin is the mvp of the wnba. Without her no one would be watching. She’s broken so many records. Points in a season y a rookie. Most assists in the wnba this yr. And most threes made. She should definitely get mvp.
@@Paul15. Ya gotta break some eggs to make real mayonaise. Those great players you are talking about won championships and the didn't try to make fancy passes that led to turnovers when a regular pass would of worked. They didn't lead their teams to a .500 record and they played defense.
@@Paul15.I'm sure you're the expert on the subject. I'm envious of the millions of dollars you've made coaching championship teams for the past twenty or thirty years.
The league isn’t looking out for C.C.’s safety by allowing all of these flagrant fouls with no real repercussions for the offenders, especially because they owe their sudden popularity to her, and nobody else, so i hope she picks up, gives the WNBA the finger, and goes to Europe next year, where she’ll be appreciated.
the last thing the wnba wants is to be popular or make money. if that happens, competent people will start to be involved, and they will all lose their jobs and what petty power they do have
the way i read it it said that 17 percent of all fouls called are done to caitlin clarkkl,,, 80 percent of that 17 percent is done to caitlyn be the players of the chicago sky
In the entire WNBA league CC had 17% of all the flagrant fouls . Which means 83% of flagrant fouls were on the the other other approximately 180 players.
Much of the Fever's Defense is on Lexi Hull's shoulders. The skinny girl does well and there been times she knocks down those 3 point baskets too. Kelsey Mitchell is the backbone of the team. NaLyssa Smith is doing better, Aliyah Boston appears to have slowed down and that duo connection with Clark not as strong as it was a couple months ago, Damiris Dantas finally contributing and building confidence, Katie Lou Samuelson not as good of a player as she was in college and maybe having a baby just makes her slow on the floor. Fever has an okay bench. Presently, every team is losing against the Las Vegas Aces a team I do not like as I also don't like Chicago or Dallas. Oh! well. Can't wait for NCAAB to start near end of November. Watching the WNBA is not exciting. CC should go play on the European League and forget the WNBA which is 85 percent non-White and a lot of Women "L" types. If not for subsidies and the NBA there would be no WNBA. This 2024 season has more viewership than any year of the WNBA inaugural year 1997 until now. Over 100 percent more because of Caitlin Clark. She goes to Europe , the WNBA fades away. You are correct. Chances of Fever winning the WNBA Title is about 16.6 percent. Chance of beating the #3 seed (currently Connecticut Suns) 1st round is 33.2 percent. They lost 3 of 4 games against the Sun's this season.
The final seconds show that the Fever needs to work on closing out a game. They should have let CC have the ball and let her dribble until the clock ran out or she was fouled. Through their stupid play, they came very close to losing the game. If she had not shot and allowed the shot clock to run down, the Dallas would have had just a few seconds to bring in the ball and shoot.
It's pretty obvious to those who are watching because of CC...all feel the sameway..if it is said to be true..and CC . continues as is and contenders of the MVP same.. Just to rectify previous wrongs..I don't think I need to list them all. Top 3 are 1) kept out of olympics 2) physically & mental abuse 3) believed she's not worthy of MVP..Give your heads a shake if you don't already agree....then CC's fans, your boss and lthe like, you'll definitely feel their wrath for sure...go Caitlyn go!
Caitlin Clark has had 4 games out of 39 games with 30 or more points scored. Several within 1 or 2 points shy of 30. 5th in Most Points in this season, 1st in Assists per Game, 1st in 3 point shots made, CC is ranked the 8th best player out of 93 players in the 2024 WNBA season and remember she is a Rookie. Yes! CC has had numerous and the most turnovers in WNBA history, but how many of her teammates should be blamed for bobbling or fumbling the pass. CC is not hogging the ball, if she was then most likely would have the Most Points scored in a WNBA Season Record. Hogging the ball also would mean not having an Assist record. All around Caitlin Clark is a well above average player and possibly become one of the Legends of the WNBA. Beyond all this, CC is the persona that brought widespread attention to the WNBA like no other person ever has in the past. Remember, things do not last forever. Hype and hysteria this year and next year could be "Who Cares?". But it is a good story and has been very Entertaining this year. Indiana Fever are into the Playoffs for the 1st time since 2016. They have had a fortunate run of wins against mid to lower teams in the league. When it comes to beating NY Liberty, Connecticut Suns, Seattle Storm, Minnesota Lynx, and Las Vegas Aces it only accounts for 4 of the Fevers wins (20 W -19 L) and had not beaten the Aces at all this season. Therefore, when it comes to the Top 5 Teams, Indiana Fever finds themselves in the hole. This shows that Caitlin Clark is unable to prevail against tougher opponents or as a team. However, these huge and significant losses the Fever has against the league’s top teams occurred early in the season or before the Olympics in Paris. Now the Fever is the 6th seed in the WNBA 2024 Playoffs, can the Fever win the 1st round against the #3 seed Connecticut Suns as the Fever have a 28.125% chance of winning the 1st round.(best of 3 games). In the regular season, the Sun's won the first 3 of 4 games as the Fever took the 4th and final game winning 84 to 80 which is rather a close game. A miracle has to happen for the Fever to proceed beyond the 1st Playoff Round. As mentioned only 4 wins against the Top 5 WNBA teams all season long. (Won 4 of 19 games) a dismal 21%. So sorry to see a few hopefuls become injured and not finish the season such as Cameron Brinks and Angel Reese. A'ja Wilson best chance at MVP may have slipped a notch due to injury. Angel Reese just needs to change her demeanor/attitude as she is very good getting rebounds even if 25 to 40 percent are from her own missed shots. I'll call Reese the best there ever been in Second Rebound opportunities. Unfortunately, Angel Reese rebounds have little significance in the game because no matter how many Double-Doubles she has accumulated does not equate or result in a Chicago Sky Town win. Caitlin Clark is no doubt Rookie of the Year and was never in question after the first dreadful 9 games of the season with Fever having 1-8 record. Cannot contribute all those losses to CC as there is no "I" in team. MVP: tough as it could have been Arike Ogunbowale since she has decent stats after Wilson but it is a shame Dallas is not in the Playoffs, so Arike is a no. I think the MVP vote will come after the playoffs. If the Indiana Fever gets a miracle and play the 3rd round in the playoffs and CC puts in the work, she may have a chance for MVP.
I'm a big fan of CC. I really hate it when she takes those shots to the head during and after the play. That's just dirty! McCowan needs to sit out a year or two to get her act together. I have to wonder at the coaches that resort to desperation to stop CC, but she takes a licking and keeps on ticking! CC for MVP!
Geno said she didn't come to him, Caitlin said Geno never called her mother. She was under 18 at the time so they had to go through their parents. Caitlin originally committed to Notre Dame but picked Iowa to play close to home. That's what I was told, because Caitlin wanted to go to UCon
I have watched these 2 teams play 3 times and they have been the best games I have seen. There is a difference in a hard foul and a cheap shot. Dallas did give a hard foul, but she wasn't blind sided with the intent of hurting her. I enjoyed all the play making from both teams, both teams played hard entertaining basketball
You're another I play down Caitlin Clark reporter because you don't give her credit for what she did to this game. I'm a fever fan but it does not happen without Caitlin Clark ... That is absent in this stupid report.
No sólo CC es la razón del crecimiento de las audiencias de la WNBA. Es que, sin ella, la publicidad caería un montón y esa liga se arruinaría. Y, s.e, la siguen maltratando física y en reconocimiento. Luis Olivera
First, Christie Sides has no basketball sense what-so-ever and she most certainly should be fired; There are first year high school coaches that could probably do a better job. Secondly, the Fever are not a playoff caliber basketball team, they seriously do not have a starting five and that means that they do not have a bench that can be counted on to do much but keep the room warm. Not being honest about the make up of the Fever team is not at all helpful. As a team the Fever are not a team that shares the basketball, if it was not for Clark and Boston the Fever might not have more that five totral assists in any game. All of that boils down to the fact that the Fever are lucky to even be close to the "playoffs", when they have had to have last minutes of the last quarter miracles and wonders to beat the teams resting on one another in the league basement. Kelsy Mitchel, is a shooter and nothing more than a shooter, she seldom shares the ball and can not be depended on to fight for any rebounds, but given the rest of the Fever players she is what they have. NaLyssa Smith? Remember, the Fevver do not have a starting five. The Fever now face the Wings and the Mystics, two teams below 500. Don't look for the Fever to dominate or win again without a serious struggle agaist even these weak sisters. Remember, the Fever are only Caitlin Clark away from being the very worst team in the WNBA and they still are perhaps the most poorly coached team in the WNBA. It is not possible to reasonably think that the team can or will be any better next season, given the personnel that the management has chosen over the past several years. They are at least three top tier "team players", who can and will share the ball when they are in the game, away from being a team that has a ghost of a chance of being a league contender. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Lexi Hull will waste away with the Fever on losing teams over the next three years! Then again fantasy is more popular than reality in the WNBA or they would not still be an NBA charity wellfare case after 27 years. It is what it is.
Mitchell scored 30 points, that's no slouch. No one is as good at passing than CC (despite turnovers), so yeah, there's that. CC Mitchell Boston Hull can gel together even more for next year, and maybe DD (who has been stepping up) and Smith can improve over the off season. Hull needs to get more consistent but she's such a hustler. I'm not sure why Boston doesn't rebound more though.
