Every time I watch your uploads, the 23 year old heavy armoured soldier, still lurking around inside my head, keeps telling me that I made a mistake buying a KTM 500 EXC-F. I absolutely love your bike, and wish I still had the 'go' to thrash something that big. Thanks, Marty. Yeah it's a fantastic bike, and I love it to bits, but the size and weight isn't for everyone, it really does need honing in, as you've seen when these bikes go down, they go down hard and fast and are a bloody struggle to pick back up! I like to think I'm quite powerful, and only 32 and this bike is right at my weight limit in some situations, it really is a battle to lift! I think you've made a wise decision mate, don't feel guilty about your decision. Great video and thanks for the share! Quick question where does the route go around the forest where you turned around and came back up the fire road? Could you share that gpx if possible?
Cheers dude. Doesn't feel all that fast at the time, that's the beauty of flow state, when everything just clicks and feels effortless 👌 Where abouts are you based, with these sandy trails, dude? 🤔
the worst thing about the lane of heartbreak in my experience is the possibility of a leg snatch and all the bad shit that could follow should a twist happen while in fwd motion - yuk, it has got so trenched out it really is about being careful with foot placement - be careful riders
You know the score 😉 this video really doesn't do this trail justice at all, it looks flat 🤣 I thought the new angles on this run would show it, but guess not, still looks flat haha. You know how sketch this one is. Yeah I agree, there's plenty of roots, rocks and holes you can get hung up on, lucky I wasn't on the pegs when my bike got wedged under that root, that would not have been pretty!
tried watching this the day you posted it Lew, managed 55 mins and still haven't finished it 🤣, just a thought.. Next time you do a mad all dayer split the vid into part one and two and you could have released part two next Sunday while on your weekend off. Might save the last 15mins till the weekend.

How long have you been riding off road youre a amazing rider. I bought a 701 enduro and unfortunately its to much for me when offroading i have no confidence unfortunately. You meed to make some tuturials youre one of the best riders ive seen on these big bikes
Aw mate, thanks very much, made my day that that 🙏 I would say personally I'm a decent enough rider, I'm certainly not amazing... I fall off and crash ALOT, so im not sure me making tutorial videos will be a good idea, im not Pol Tarres 🤣 but I'll take the compliment, thanks. I've been riding offroad now for about 15 years, mainly enduro, this is my first 'road' bike, I only passed my test last year! You've got the perfect bike there to learn to offroad on to be honest, get some decent offroad 80/20 offroad tyres on her, that's the first big change you could make, make sure you're running the air pressure on the softer side to the tyre can bend and grip and not deflect off everything. Confidence and speed just comes with time on the bike dude so stick with it, we all started somewhere! enjoying the videos. Just wondering how your exhaust hanger is holding up to the drops? im considering a high exhaust but havent pulled the trigger on one yet.
Cheers Si. Glad you're enjoying them mate. To be honest, the hanger is creased and I can't un bend it, which is annoying as now it has a major weak spot and will probably crack at some point by the bolt hole. I'll be buying the camel ADV high mount kit and a black widow can at some point soon, do away with the hanger.
@Simon-df2ku yeah, that's the only problem with the camel ADV kit I suppose, it's pretty permanent 😆 but it's the only high mount exhaust I like the look of, but it's personal preference I suppose.
