I love your videos, I really don't like or care about the product you work on, but the work you do on them and also video is amazing and enjoyable to watch.
Hey I really appreciate that! I’m in the same boat for some of the channels I watch. I don’t have any affinity to the stuff they repair but I love the process.
I draw out the labels in Illustrator and then send them off to a specialty printer that specifically does high resolution dry transfer work. They are expensive but still around. Dry transfers are still used a lot in product prototyping.
Thank you! It's a Japanese publication called AppleDesign: The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group. It's a beautiful book! Lots of prototypes, preproduction shots, sketches. Super cool.
Thanks! I've definitely been thinking about it. I have posted a lot of walkthroughs on iFixit, but doing videos is definitely something I've been thinking about.
Thanks so much for using my music Matt. Great video! 🙌🏻

Under your monitor there is a keyboard/manipulator (not sure how to call it). Could you provide a name/model of it?
I've got a TourBox Neo that I use for editing videos.
Badass. I want one!
How do you make the “custom” dry transfer labels ?
I draw out the labels in Illustrator and then send them off to a specialty printer that specifically does high resolution dry transfer work. They are expensive but still around. Dry transfers are still used a lot in product prototyping.
@@polymatt any links to the service that does that ? Cheers 😉
@@8-bitbitsa821 unfortunately the place I used went out of business :(. Looking for another that can do nice high resolution.
Whats the japanese book featured at 9:23 ?
It’s a Japanese publication called AppleDesign: The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group. Awesome book.

What an amazing design! BTW it looks *perfect* with Matte Muted White Polymaker PLA. Where did you source the Apple logo stickers from?
Thanks so much! The logo is actually a real metal badge taken from a damaged keyboard.
If you do electronics troubleshooting tutorials you will go to millions of subs sooner I’ll be the first to support your channel

Please give credit where it's due - BlueSCSI v2 is derived from ZuluSCSI RP2040.
Seriously looks like an overpriced, no-thrills Apple drive from 1991!
It was definitely a unique, clean design. Showing off my love for the late 80s compact Mac era 😁
Hi Matt. Found your channel just recently. Thoroughly interesting, watch all your videos. Looking forward to your next one. Keep up the great work
Hey there! Thanks so much and really glad you enjoy the videos. I’ve got some cool projects in the pipeline :)
