Patti wasn’t exactly sitting around alone while George was stepping out. She’s been very candid in interviews about the men who stepped in to ‘divert’ her. She also was no stranger to tooting coke, drinking, and the other ‘refreshments’ of that day. In her memoir and subsequent interviews, she described being indignant that after leaving both George and Eric, they didn’t’ t immediately buy her a house of her own and pay her bills. “Learned helplessness” was a real thing in those social circles: marry a rich rock star and you have access to the fast lane, and somebody to pay for all your indulgences. And apparently that’s a lesson she learned early and continued to this day. The guy she’s married to now is an extremely wealthy real estate developer who is 10 years younger than she is. She can continue her lifestyle indulgences, he married a rock star ‘muse.’ Win-win?

@@oaktjen My point was more about women not expecting men to take care of them but fair enough. I'm not here to argue but hopefully put a new perspective in this new generation's heads. I think it would help couples if both go in with equal effort and value to give to each other. Dreaming lol

Pattie has aged with a cool look just like she had when she was young. The kind of look she has just never ages. Even with wrinkles and ageing face.
By denying to Pattie his obvious affairs, George gaslit her.

The world of fame seems filled with drugs and relationship addictions to soothe the pain and pressures! That life sounds awful and to have to live through it in the public eye must be like adding lighter fluid to a flame. So much for "that kind of meditation! That's sad for all of them.

Those two never loved her. They were high and she infatuated them. They passed her off for other women as soon as they felt like it.
I disagree. I felt Pattie was George’s first real love. His marriage broke up when the band he was in since age 17 broke up. At that same period his mother died after a year of physical decline. George felt his world had changed in every way changed beyond repair.

I really enjoyed reading Pattie's book. I lost a ton of respect for Eric Clapton never mind his politics.
I hate to say this, but Cynthia Lennon was lucky she never got into this madness and become part of someone's harem. I was surprised to learn that Led Zeppelin were so tired after concerts they were actually like monks. 😂 Those wild stories were actually made up to make them seem like rock stars.kills me.. Jimmy became an addict and that was pretty bad. I am really shocked he's still alive JPJ was married to the same woman all that time.

It is a certain popular scent from the sandalwood tree used in making incense to burn for a nice aroma in the home and elsewhere. Incense was very popular in the 70's, sometimes used to mask the smell of other burning "Aromas."

George was so into his religion (which by the way Pattie introduced the Beatles to the Maharishi he ignored her a lot. Clapton was a fuckup because he knew that Pattie couldn't have children. So he cheated on Pattie often and got that woman pregnant with his son who sadly fell out the window.
