- Ciao Paesani and welcome to an exciting new era for the Italian American Podcast, because we are broadcasting from our brand new Red Sauce Studio in the heart of Little Italy, Manhattan. Join us as we celebrate this exciting new chapter with Pat, Rosella, John, and Dolores reuniting hours before the ribbon cutting ceremony that will officially open the new studio. We share our journey from makeshift setups to this beautiful new space, surrounded by the vibrant life of Little Italy. Our discussion kicks off with the joy of reuniting after time apart and the humorous evolution of our recording locations, from an office space, to a cardboard box, and even zoom land.
Get ready for a heated and passionate debate over the beloved and sometimes controversial red sauce restaurants. We explore the intricacies of Italian American cuisine, from the heavy use of sauce and mozzarella to the frying methods and oil choices that define our favorite dishes. Amidst the lively banter, we also reveal our favorite and least favorite red sauce dishes, and share personal anecdotes that highlight the impact of ingredient quality on traditional recipes.
As we transition from audio to video recordings, we reflect on the evolution and preservation of our Italian American culture. From cookbooks and culinary traditions to the significance of Little Italy and the impact of modern changes, we celebrate nearly a decade of the Italian American Podcast. Plus, enjoy our reflections on Little Italy's history, cultural significance, and the personal anecdotes that make this episode a heartfelt celebration of nearly a decade of the Italian American Podcast. Join us as we express our gratitude to our supportive community and look forward to many more conversations here at Red Sauce Studio! - Розваги
What a fantastic set of young people, keeping our Italian Tradition ALIVE
Not only Italian Americans from US but also Italian Canadians come to NY ‘s Little Italy - to get a slice of what Immigrant life was like for Italians .
My grandfather settled in Pennsylvania but he passed away there and his family settled in Montreal Canada .
I wish you lots of luck. Thank you for keeping the traditions alive . Augurii 🎉
This is awesome, congratulations on all your success and I hope to visit someday.
Congratulations on this milestone. The video of the podcast was well worth waiting for. Dolores really needs to share her duck recipe.
Auguri!
I can't wait to visit!
We shouldn't beat ourselves up for not being a "unified force" in this country because remembet, Italians had to come to America to meet one another.
We came from the land of tribes so our ideas of what it means to be "Italian" can be vastly different from one other
"Italian Americaness" isn't so much a result of America's affect on Italians but rather the result of provincial Italians interacting with each other in a way that was not possible in Italy.
This food talk is everything! I’m all about it 🥰🥰 Good luck with the studio!

Terrific first show. Please move Pat & Rosella together. The set needs to be intimate. No Rossela on the end in Cleavland. Just a note. So happy you"re doing this!

Eggplant parm is definitely a red sauce dish. You can find it in Italy, but not prepared in the same way that the red sauce joints typically do.
