I appreciate how beautifullly fitted this crochet sweater is. I really like the special techniques you are teaching all of us. Thank you for sharing this great tutorial! ✌️❣️🧶
Thanks for going stitch-by-stitch for us!! You are a good teacher.
I have a confession to make; I too do decreases like you for most things, sometimes it doesn't look right, but I like to decrease with less loops as possible. Your sweater is coming along lovely. My husband doesn't wear crew neck, so I'm not making him one. I will, however, make one for myself. Thank you Fabio. You are going places with your teaching.
Love how to provide your crochet knowledge and explanations regarding how you create personal items so that I can understand and replicate that process.
I’m so glad we’re doing the collar, because as you said it looks like it’s getting wider😅. But now I understand why. Thank you, Fabulous Fabio 🤗
I Hope you are going to keep this series available on UA-cam long term Fabio as it will be a while before I actually get to crocheting the sweater. Meanwhile, it’s great watching the process and (hopefully) learning.
Amazing description, Fabio!!
I truly love how detailed you are!!
Each and every video you make adds another piece to your AMAZING puzzle!!
Thank you so much for this!!!🙂
That's what I like too. Detailed and technical. Very important to understand the reasoning.
Loving this tutorial series, and I hope there will be many more :) I love too that even when you make a mistake or you need to reword what you're saying you just leave that in the video. That stuff is helpful too! Crochet is a process definitely. Thanks Fabio!
Thank you, Fabio!!!
Best tutorial showing how to crochet the ribbing for the collar on this beautiful sweater.👍👍👍
I love the way you explain the stitching. You're very concise and easy to understand. Thank you for your channel you and Juan are my new addictions.
😊
Clavicola, è venuta perfetta! Grazie ancora!
Great job in teaching us how to #crochetsweater tutorial 👍🏻 😄 👌🏻
Hello Fabio, I'm from Japan. This is such a great crochet rib.
I've knitted many sweaters, but this is my first crocheted sweater. I'm so happy to crochet with you to make wonderful sweater every week.
Ciao!🌈🌈🌈💘🥰😚
🌈🌈🌈❤
Collar done. I added a row of single crochet to give a slightly tighter and neater finish. It seems to work fine. Looking forward to the next tutorial.
You're always so ahead of me! ❤
Fabio.....to watch and listen to you is like watching a College Professor teach a class! Yes, I still find it hard to believe that you of all people had a hard time getting used to talking into a camera? Plus, @4:36 i chuckled with delight. lol. I know....lol. This is coming along so SO gorgeously. Incredible work. Just a tip from us viewers side; when you upload, try 'Rotating' the video clip a quarter turn to the right. Then we don't have to turn our neck to see 'your point of view...' Please do NOT take this as me being bossy....I think you will really love the outcome of the 'view'..... I am so SO tempted to start this sweater. But I am so busy with a Bridal Jewelry set I need to finsh.
Richard
Hi Richard, thank you so much for your kind words and you're so right about the rotating the video. I found myself having to rotate my own head when I re-watched my latest tutorial, and that's when I wondered if I wasn't the only one rotating my head. Looks like I wasn't the only one. I will figure out a way to improve on the angle. Thank you for letting me know! And also thank you so much for buying me a coffee using the "Thanks" button! ❤️
Fabio, this was a fantastic tutorial. Your instructions are super clear and your camera angles and lighting and just right. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with us. Ciao, Bello!❤😘
Excellent instructions. Thanks!😊
I was so looking forward to this!☆☆☆☆❤
I really appreciate this visual presentation of top-down sweater making. It really makes me want to try again after numerous failures. You are an excellent teacher and model.
That is genius. It is very neat way of adjusting the neckline and adding the rib. I am self taught and I do my decreases exactly the same as yours, it is a near invisible method.
Thank you 🙏🏻 very much my sweet Fabio, for being so thorough and taking time out of your day to teach us your ways and this beautiful Manly sweater 😂🙏🏻💙🥰🤗😘
Just brilliant thank you
Fabio your signature ribbing is awesome! The neck is fabulous! Thank you so much for your professional and inspiring tutorial.
You are very talented!!!
Thank you Fabio! Your sweater are beautiful. Your tutorial is greate and easy to follow. Keep going.❤
Darn, I just now got the notification😮. @7:38 P.M. sorry, been waiting all day. Missed session. Hope it went well.😢
Most excellent,,thank you 😊
Thanks!🥰 Great video! I am learning so much. It explains why my sweater making was quite a disaster. It did not fit me, but luckily it fit my neighbor, so not a total waste.
Hello 👋 my sweet friend!
😂 it doesn’t matter if you say “ Stitch Mark “ or “ Stitch Marker” 😂 it’s the same thing . Same difference. Who cares! We understand you! We don’t have to be so literal about everything we say 😂 I think you speak very well. Your accent is wonderful! I’m listening to your tutorial while I’m driving. I’ll be watching it again when I’m doing my own sweater!
You're super kind! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
Thank you! I have 3 sons and this is my first time to make a sweater for men. I’m looking forward to the next video. Your instructions are well done and easy to follow.❤
Another great video! I call it the neck opening, LOL, covers both. OK, off to make the collar. Have a good week and hug. 😁🫂
We call it a neck band - a collar is something bigger in my world. But he’s very clever!
Live the signature ribbing.. I was 15 stitches away from completing the color when I got severe yarn barf Knotts like crazy😢. Yikes... got to deal so I can fi ish. Lol loving this so far!😊
Yarn barf that doesn't untangle turns me into a monster! 😬
Your sweater is looking very nice. Fabio, appreciate you teaching us your method. Glad you explained the yoke part…thought I had messed up. Re: Adding the collar to stabilize the drape. This will be my first crocheted sweater ever ❤
This makes me so happy! ❤
Thanks so much Fabio. I m following along every episode with my own "masculine fit" sweater, that i am making in my favourite color, which is ultramine blue. I was waiting already impatiently for this next video and was actually really very happy when i saw it just now.. Would like to start the collar immediately but here in Berlin it is already 11 in the night, so i just watched your episode and tomorrow continue my sweater. It will be my first ever handmade sweater. Thank you for making this for us. Greetings, julia
Thank you so much for the coffee, Julia! ❤️ Also… ultramarine blue? I must see that! I am going to create a Facebook page so you guys can post your creations both finished am in progress! I can’t wait to see yours, Julia! ❤️
Buonasera Fabio. Alcune persone sono così ridicole! Non dimenticare di pronunciare errrrrrr! 😂 Great video! Grazie
Excellent tutorial on this #crochetsweater
Love your signature ribbing!❤
Your videos are so smooth and professional. Your instructions are easy to understand. Thank you so much for making this tutorial weekly. It gives me time to practice the stitch.
Great job 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you for another great tutorial
I am finding your teaching style very easy to follow. I especially like your ribbing. I know your formula is for men's sweaters, but it would be nice if you would show how to adapt to women's sweaters or at least give a few hints. I would have no problems wearing a men's sweater but unsure if it would fit correctly. I would consider subscribing as a member. Looking forward to future episodes.
Thank you for your kind words. As for female sweaters, I'm really sorry, but I have never made one. Only for men.
Hari Om
Fabulous, Fabio! YAM xx
Thanks!
Thank you so much for buying me a coffee using the "Thanks" button! ❤️
@@CrochetByFabio Just wanted to let you know, that when you upload your videos, there is a 'Rotate' button....Cool.
Can't wait to see this done.
Richard
Thank you Fabio, great tutorial, easy to follow!❤
Fabio , You did it. Another great video. You are doing great. Do not worry so much about saying stitch mark or stitch marker. Your English is really good. I enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work. See you in your next video on making the sleeves of the sweater. Good bye for now.I love your videos. I still want to hear some of your music.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much for your words! ❤ Question: when you say music, you mean the music in the background?
@@CrochetByFabio I mean the music you make that some people call gay music. I listen to Cazwelll, plus many more.
Forgive me but I'm totally confused... I don't make music, so I don't know what to say.
Oh... I get it now. I just listened to Cazwell and... well... that's not my cup of tea. I'm old-school gay! I like Disco, Nu Disco, and ABBA!!!
@Crocheted By Fabio. I was reading the comments on some of the videos. I understood that you made music. I am sorry about that. I guess I misunderstood what the other person was writing. My BAD. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. Some people create their own music, tell stories and crochet and teach crochet. I was just trying to encourage you to to music also if that is what you like to do. I take full responsibility for the mix up. I love your videos. See you in the next one.
Fantastic Tutorial, Go Fabio! Thank you for this!
Thank you Marti! ❤
Great video
Scrivo in italiano perché è più semplice per me 😁 devo dire che spieghi molto bene e credo che un giorno mi cimenterò a fare un maglione da uomo con le tue spiegazioni così dettagliate 😊
Hey there my friend.... I've a question regarding the collar point you are working. You are saying Half Double Crochet part of the time and then saying just Double Crochet. I know we can see you are doing the HDC. Just wanted to point this out. Sweater is definitely looking great.
he uses both the half double crochet, for the first row.... and THEN he used the double crochet for the 2, 3, and 4th row (if you are using a yarn that is a 3) Here he used a 4 weight yarn so did not show the 4th row...
@@alahatzaifat1872 Okay, As I was watching I was only seeing HDC in the first collar round. Haven't felt the best today so that's my excuse. :)
Please forgive me Mama Wench that I didn't get to you sooner! 😞 And thank you so much Alahat for answering Mama's question perfectly! ❤️
@@CrochetByFabio Do not feel the need to apologize my dear. Given I wasn't feel the best is what I'm saying is to blame. ;)
@mama-wench There was actually one occasion that I noticed where he accidently said double crochet where there had to be a hdc and fabio also crochet the hdc. So I did the same 😊
Love how you are breaking it all down for your viewers! 🩵🩵🩵Fabio’s signature ribbing looks very nice! Love it
Thank you! Glad you like the Fabio's Signature Ribbing! ❤️
Can you answer a question noone seems to be able to answer? When I crochet, the yarn that seems super soft becomes hard. It gets a structure and the softess is lost. What can I do to keep the softness? It does not happen when I knit, but I so much prefere crochet to knitting and I would love to solve this problem
Great question. Knitting stitches are intersecting loops, while crochet stitches are a series of knots. That's why crochet fabric is thicker and stiffer than knitted fabric. Working in the front loop makes the knot a little less thick and a little less stiff, making the fabric softer enough to be used for sweaters. I hope this makes sense.
@@CrochetByFabio it does, I also watched all your videos now and I see what you mean, I also started an elastic neck loop like you teach and it is really nice! . I think the choice of the wool, lightweigh and possibly fluffy, probably makes a difference. Thank you for answering and congrats for your channel. Avrei anche potuto parlare italiano 😄
I come from Germany
Hi Fabio!! Thank you VERY much for the videos so far. All very clear and concise. I am very glad to have found your channel. So far, all the images you have shown are for crew neck sweaters. Have you made or will you be making a V-neck variation down the line? My husband prefers V-necks and I would like to make him a sweater using your method, but I am not good enough to figure out how to convert your pattern/method to include a V-Neck collar.
Thank you again... both for the instruction and they eye candy.
Great question! I don't think the top-down, in-the-round construction makes it possible to have a V-neck. I've never done a V-neck before, but now I feel curious to experiment with it. ❤️
@@CrochetByFabio Thank you for the response. So most V-necks would be done hem up, you think? I haven't made a sweater via crochet or knitting, yet... always was intimidated as it is a 'big' project which is why I was very pleased to see your step by step tutorial in crochet which I feel more comfortable with. I would be VERY interested and thankful if you do figure it out...
Thanks again for everything you do!!
