    I have a confession to make; I too do decreases like you for most things, sometimes it doesn't look right, but I like to decrease with less loops as possible. Your sweater is coming along lovely. My husband doesn't wear crew neck, so I'm not making him one. I will, however, make one for myself. Thank you Fabio. You are going places with your teaching.

    Fabio.....to watch and listen to you is like watching a College Professor teach a class! Yes, I still find it hard to believe that you of all people had a hard time getting used to talking into a camera? Plus, @4:36 i chuckled with delight. lol. I know....lol. This is coming along so SO gorgeously. Incredible work. Just a tip from us viewers side; when you upload, try 'Rotating' the video clip a quarter turn to the right. Then we don't have to turn our neck to see 'your point of view...' Please do NOT take this as me being bossy....I think you will really love the outcome of the 'view'..... I am so SO tempted to start this sweater. But I am so busy with a Bridal Jewelry set I need to finsh.

      Hi Richard, thank you so much for your kind words and you're so right about the rotating the video. I found myself having to rotate my own head when I re-watched my latest tutorial, and that's when I wondered if I wasn't the only one rotating my head. Looks like I wasn't the only one. I will figure out a way to improve on the angle. Thank you for letting me know! And also thank you so much for buying me a coffee using the "Thanks" button! ❤️

I know your formula is for men's sweaters, but it would be nice if you would show how to adapt to women's sweaters or at least give a few hints. Hey there my friend.... I've a question regarding the collar point you are working. You are saying Half Double Crochet part of the time and then saying just Double Crochet. I know we can see you are doing the HDC. Just wanted to point this out. Sweater is definitely looking great.

      he uses both the half double crochet, for the first row.... and THEN he used the double crochet for the 2, 3, and 4th row (if you are using a yarn that is a 3) Here he used a 4 weight yarn so did not show the 4th row...

    Can you answer a question noone seems to be able to answer? When I crochet, the yarn that seems super soft becomes hard. It gets a structure and the softess is lost. What can I do to keep the softness? It does not happen when I knit, but I so much prefere crochet to knitting and I would love to solve this problem

    • @CrochetByFabio
      @CrochetByFabio  Місяць тому +3

      Great question. Knitting stitches are intersecting loops, while crochet stitches are a series of knots. That's why crochet fabric is thicker and stiffer than knitted fabric. Working in the front loop makes the knot a little less thick and a little less stiff, making the fabric softer enough to be used for sweaters. I hope this makes sense.

    • @barbara6204
      @barbara6204 Місяць тому +2

      @@CrochetByFabio it does, I also watched all your videos now and I see what you mean, I also started an elastic neck loop like you teach and it is really nice! .
