But according to someone that use to live in Port morant and also use to attend Port morant school he said the drains are apart of the flooding aslo. If its keeping clean it won't be like that. The old drainage system that is in that area, is not good enough and is totally blocked, that is the reason for the constant flooding of that little town . They need to find a water course that can help take the water away from the centre of the town, and that would be to build drains in the Middle of the town areas and the actual road, with plenty of Grid drain covers like the one you have shown, and find the right area that the water can flow to with enough drain pipes that will take the load of water that is poured into that area . . The main issue is to CLEAN and renew the drains and find the BEST outlet to take the water out of that area during heavy rains, which is possible to do, otherwise spend some money and put a permanent pumping station in the town and pump the water out .

This problem is ongoing and will continue to because of the political blame game. People need to wise up. Your MPs from either side keep blaming the other, and you are swallowing the "blame" pill you are being given. Until you can all stop seeing yourselves as JLP and PNP and start seeing yourselves collectively as citizens, politicians will continue using you as pawns in their political game.
The day you all come out collectively as concerned citizens and make your voices be heard is the day when meaningful actions will be taken to correct the problem.
